Atletico Madrid have played really well in the league in the last few weeks. They haven't lost a game for a long time, but this week that will change. Real Madrid are in the mood right now and their morale is so high after the Liverpool win. This situation will also be reflected in league matches, it was good for them that they will play against a team like Atletico this week.

There is never a certainty in matches like this. Its a derby match, not just any derby but the Madrid derby. There's always extra motivation in matches like this. But even then I will still be at Madrid in this game because they are clear favorites now. Hopefully the performance at Anfield against Liverpool will be a good provision for them.

If there weren't a personal meeting ahead where Real Madrid has an iron opportunity to score three points at the same time and deprive Barcelona of three points, thus reducing the gap to 5 points, I would consider that the championship is already over. Teams that are at the top of the standings rarely lose points, so 8 points difference is a huge distance.

There are no chances that Real Madrid will catch up with Barcelona. At the start of the season i knew that Barcelona were going to challenge real madrid for the La Liga title, i didn't know who would win it, and no team has won it yet, but what i knew was that Barcelona were not going to let Madrid win it as easily as they did last season. But right now it is Madrid that is chasing Barcelona, Xavi has done a lot of work with this Barcelona team, they were so far away last season, but once he was appointed he was able to ensure they qualify for the champions league, and now this season they are 8 points ahead and looking ready to win the La Liga. Barcelona can even win three trophies, the La Liga, Copa del rey and Europa league, so there is still so much that they can achieve.

Real Madrid became a laughing team when they were having difficulty to win team that are minors in their presence in matches and while they are busy making mistakes and losing, Barcelona was winning and accumulating points to stay far away from other teams, within the space of that 3 week matches, Barcelona unluck new tropies for Xavi showing him good result of been a real manager.

Let's be realistic, it will be hard for Real Madrid to pass Barcelona very easily but I don't think they will have it the regular way they are used to. I mean, it will be so impossible not to lose at least a single match before the end of the season for Real Madrid, I would prefer them to draw in hard matches, that's the only way they can come close to Barcelona if they lose multiple of matches.

There is no need to doubt about the result of this match, what is clear is that Real Betis will win the game against Elche. I also feel that Elche has run out of fuel to get them excited about the La Liga competition this season and of course they can only surrender to the results of the game later. If they win, Real Betis will shorten the distance from Atletico and of course this is indeed a good opportunity, considering that Atletico will play Real Madrid and the possibility for Diego Simione's squad to lose could happen.
