Atletico Madrid have a home match versus Sevilla this week and I see them as the clear favourite team in this. Because Sevilla are still not convincing in the league at all. First they seemed like they were improving their form finally. But they have started another bad form and their performance against big teams hasn't been impressive. In this situation I don't think they can show an impressive level of performance against Atletico Madrid as well.

Maybe Atletico Madrid have a quite changeable performance but they have had a decent form recently. They even stole one point from Real Madrid away. They would be much more motivated than Sevilla to win this.

Sevilla is looking more and more like Valencia this season: a great team that is performing awfully to the extent of flirting with the relegation. And, as you said, Atlético is doing quite well lately.

Let's see how Real Sociedad does today (the match against Cádiz has just started) but, if they lose, or even draw, Atlético has chances to overcome them in the third position of the table. And if they get there, I think they'll stay there the rest of the league.

Actually, if we follow the league from the start of the current season, Seville's performance can be said to be much better than before.
Now at least they are not stuck in the relegation zone and to say about Valencia they are not very good right now after a normal start.

Maybe their performance wasn't amazing there but that win is very important for the second leg anyway. Achieving that tough win without Lewandowski also deserves appreciation. We should be seeing improved performances this time. But on the other hand Lewandowski, Pedri and Gavi won't be able to play. Because Barcelona are still able to keep the gap between them quite balanced. I don't think they would maintain a very bad form in the league while their main focus is on there already. But they can't be made any on-target shots. The performance of Barcelona's defenders was outstanding in this match. I have the exact opposite opinion of you.
Despite turning 37 years old, Luka Modric is still showing high form and is an irreplaceable pillar at Real Madrid. While at the same age, many other class players have gradually lost their peak form, typically Ronaldo and even Messi. But that does not seem to happen with the Croatian midfielder, Modric still played the full 90 minutes in the matches and did not show any fatigue, did not fall behind. At the last World Cup, Luka Modric made a great contribution to helping Croatia win tickets to the semi-finals.

With his form intact and not looking "old", Modric is too deserving of a new contract at the Bernabeu, not a replacement.
