What an embarrassing home loss match for Girona against Villarreal. Since Girona won their home match against Barcelona 4-2 and occupies the second position in the table, they haven't won any other game, instead, they had a draw match against Depoetivo Alaves, last week, and today's loss match against Villarreal.

I would t call that embarrassing, it’s just a goal despite the fact that they’ve managed to keep an impressive home record, Villarreal was determined to keep this one and they eventually did hold it up to the final whistle. It was a huge mistake from them, leaving Traore unmarked and the ball just dropped to him. Ain’t no way he wasn’t going to place that right in the net. Being able to hold it however is where they should great quality.

Real Madrid on the other hand aren’t slowing it down. First half and they were already leading Deportivo Alaves by 3 goals. Later on in the second half, they added 2 more goals, bringing the total to 5 goals and didn’t conceive any. That’s for a team that already has the league in the bag. I think their manager just wants them to keep this winning mentality till the champions league final and it would be good for them.

After successfully defeating Barcelona quite convincingly and making Girona able to rank second, precisely at this time Girona has a fairly bad performance by again failing to win, Girona in the last two matches actually failed to win so indeed difficult for reclaiming second place from Barcelona with 2 games left,  Barcelona are currently above Girona with a difference of 1 point, but Barcelona have a great chance to move further away from Girona later if Barcelona who have not played their week 36 match against Almeria can win.

The big win over Deportivo Alaves is also an important asset ahead of the final against Dortmund. I certainly really hope that El Real can win their title this season.
