Nobody believed Girona could still remain in the top four of La Liga; even when they were topping the La Liga table, most people believed they would be kicked out of the top four of La Liga in the middle of the season. Even when Girona was struggling to win their matches in La Liga, they put in their best to make sure they got back to their winning ways and remained in the La Liga top four. Even though Girona finished in fourth place in the La Liga table, it is a good achievement because they were not fighting to survive relegation this season in La Liga.

Girona thrashed the elite teams, I'm talking about winning Atletico Madrid and Barcelona with a netting four goals against them each but it turns to be out of luck for them because they completely failed to win matches. Girona is no longer consider as some average team, they've qualified for a spot in the UEFA Champions League for next season. Gironistes are very happy with their team and ready to bring in all the supports to drive them to deliver good job in top tournaments.

They left a good impression and now it is a feeling like I had when Leicester City won the Premier League: can they win it again or will they drop to the bottom of the table because this season was just an outlier? It's not easy and the competition has them on their radar. I don't know whether they have the capacity to play a season like this again.

This Girona team achievement has been excellent this season and seriously deserved more recognition in the ideal way. They have certainly cause a great upset in the Laliga which is usually a traditional top three finish for either Real Madrid, Atletico and Barcelona, but this time around Girona has broken that chain and could even be higher up at second place at the end of the season.

It is all but confirmed that they will qualify, my little worry is maybe they will be allow to compete in the UCL with them having same owner as Manchester city which according to the rules before isn’t allowed. Also I doubt they will replicate same form next season with their current players almost all on the verge of signing for bigger clubs.
