I think that the Real Madrid players simply don't have the motivation to play in La Liga, because they know that they can't dethrone Barcelona.
They will focus on winning the Champions League for the record 15th time, so they have to take a break and prepare for the games against Manchester City. Losing against Girona was kinda humiliating, but I think that the players and Ancelotti don't care that much about this match.
Some conspiracy theorists might say that the game was rigged and Real defenders let Tati to score four goals, because somebody had placed a bet on the illegal Asian bookmakers for such thing to happen. To be honest, I don't believe in such conspiracy theories.

Rumors like that will always exist, but we have to see how the games and results that Real Madrid often get. In the last 5 matches, they have tasted 2 defeats and this has been strengthened by Real Madrid's not optimal performance. Again we have to compare their performance when playing in the Champions League and La Liga, we will see a difference. So to say now that Real Madrid is no longer motivated to play in La Liga makes sense.

But even though they are no longer able to catch up to Barcelona, Madrid should also not let every remaining match lose points, Madrid must at least maintain the runner-up position from the pursuit of Atletico Madrid. Even though they didn't win, it would be ridiculous if Madrid would finish in 3rd place.

What actually needed by madrid is only winning the remaining match. I see no chance for real madrid to get another thing other than it. Win in la liga is more than enough even though if sometime real madrid must work so hard to win against a small club with small score.
As long as madrid gets three points and it's quite safe. If madrid will able to win UCL and there's no need to feel worry about madrid's standing in la liga.

Since winning the La Liga title is almost impossible for Madrid now. So I'd say qualifying for the Champions League from the top four of the points table is enough for Madrid. Madrid should now fully focus on fighting to secure the Champions League and Copa del Rey titles. Madrid has the potential to win both of these titles. And I think Madrid boss Ancelotti is now planning to win these two titles. Ancelotti's goal is not to perform well in La Liga. I am looking forward to seeing a good performance from Madrid against Manchester City.

Yes, their focus on La Liga has diminished a bit after they have fallen far behind Barcelona, who have been outstanding this season. But Real madrid is getting unsatisfactory results more often now, as evidenced by their defeat to Girona which has made them even further away from Barcelona. Maintaining second place is the ideal target now for them to do in La Liga. Meanwhile in the Copa del Rey, they are now the main favorites to win the title. Then in the Champions League they still have a chance although it won't be easy to get rid of Manchester City.

I think we can now say that Barcelona is the champion. Real Madrid shouldn't have suffered such a defeat. You can't be in the title race anymore if you lose points in games like this.  Castellanos had a tremendous performance. He scored all four Girona goals. It is also worth mentioning that he was named man of the match. He was the man who destroyed Real Madrid. With 4 goals from 5 accurate shots, Girona got an important 3 points among the teams competing for the Europa League.

It seems that the absence of some of Real Madrid's core players such as Karim Benzema has indeed had a big impact on Real Madrid. Some of Real Madrid's core players are currently still in the process of recovering from injury. but Real Madrid shouldn't have lost by this much score. because 4-2 is a pretty bad score which shows that Real Madrid's defense is really bad in that match. Girona's quick counterattack destroyed Real Madrid's defense in that match. And yes, this defeat actually also gave Atletico Madrid an opportunity to narrow their point gap with Real Madrid. Atletico Madrid will compete against Mallorca and if Atletico Madrid wins that match then the point difference between Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will only be 2 points different. and it will also provide an opportunity for Atletico Madrid to overtake Real Madrid.

I don't think that can be used as an excuse because after all, if you look at the line-up, only Benzema, Courtouis and Mendy didn't play in the squad.
They played badly in that match and there really was no reason other than that, especially with those who were always disorganized in guarding the defense and always letting Girona's players in without real guard, it was a pretty fatal mistake.
Atlético's chance to reduce the gap at the moment is quite doable but don't underestimate Mallorca too much because indeed they are also in pretty good confidence after their 2 consecutive wins.

La liga da Girona team shows that they are one of the strongest teams at home for the moment. The first half is almost over and Real Madrid are ahead 2-1. Girona won 4-2 against experienced teams like Real Madrid. This was a completely unexpected result. It has been proved once again that Madrid is not strong without Benzema. However, despite losing this match, Madrid have no problems. Because now the main goal of Real Madrid is the Champions League. And so the Madrid team is likely to lose points in a few more matches in La Liga. Even if Real Madrid loses second place in the points table, I wouldn't be surprised at all. Atletico Madrid are only 5 points behind Real Madrid.

The La Liga title has become almost impossible for Real Madrid. Their win against Girona was very important. With this match, Real Madrid could have been a bit closer to the La Liga title but they missed this big chance. I cannot accept conceding four goals against a team like Girona.

Castellanos was the game's Most Outstanding Player and received the accolades. The honors were well deserved after scoring four goals against a top club. Another defeat for Real Madrid in a league match, this time to Girona. The Blanquivermells took the game's higher hands, as the scoreboard read 4-2. For the conspirators, any result is always good to assert that the match/score is the product of a written script, it is like those who make the meme after any situation.

The issue here is to give value to Girona for its 4 goals, you don't have to justify Real Madrid with anything, it is a team built to win any football game, saying that it is not interested in the league and that is why it lost is stupid*.

I think Real Madrid's defeat is very natural because it has been very visible in the last few weeks that Real Madrid is no longer focused on chasing Barcelona at the top of the standings because that is very unlikely so Real Madrid prefers to focus on the UCL semi-finals and the Copa Del final. Yes, Barcelona should be able to win this match without many significant obstacles. Because even Real Sociedad and Atletico Madrid were able to beat Rayo a few weeks ago. Do we not all already know Real Madrid? I maen come on we have seen this scenario play out every season. Having a bad match in LaLiga does not necessarily reflect their performance in the UCL or Copa Del Rey. Whenever it seems like Real Madrid is not winning anymore and having troubles inside the white house they prove us wrong. I do believe that they made mistakes in losing some matches in LaLiga and gave Barcelona a good chance to lead the standings but it appears that they are focusing on winning the other trophies. What Ancelotti said in the conferences may be a misleading statement that they are still playing for the LaLiga trophy this year if they really cared more about LaLiga they won’t let Gerona win yesterday.
Copa Del Ray coming in the next 10 days against Osasuna isn’t more important that UCL for Real Madrid. But i believe that it’s an important trophy for them to cover LaLiga failure at least.

For me, it's not about prioritizing other tournaments and not about catching Barcelona and then Real Madrid being so weak in La Liga. To be honest, if Real Madrid loses, let's accept the defeat and not seek self-defense by prioritizing other tournaments, so when Real Madrid loses, I think I admit Real Madrid was bad in that match because Real Madrid lost badly by a mediocre team.

I think that you shall try to put your focus into the lineup that being used by real madrid. It's not even an embarrassing result for ancellotti. If ancellotti has been letting la liga to be achieved by barcelona and real madrid needs to focus into another trophy that is still possible to be got by real madrid.
Madrid was playing without several important players. Ancelotti is trying to keep them all become very healthy when the match against manchester city will be coming soon. Just because real madrid didn't play seriously against girona and it doesn't mean real madrid was bad.
