Honestly as I said before, in my humble opinion, if Real Madrid get through to the semi-final they've practically won the cup. This semi-final has the flavor of a final.

Madrid has high faith and confidence so they make sure they focus more on the UCL because they believe they can win the UCL again this season so they are not consistent in the league, but it is different from Manchester City while they focus on almost all domestic league competitions and also UCL, I know it might tire Manchester City players but Guardiola might want to instill in their players to have a winning mentality in all competitions, I believe Manchester City deserves to win the league this season more than Madrid.

If Madrid fail in the UCL then they will also not get a league title except for the Copa Del Rey which still has a chance because it will play in the final against Osasuna even though on paper Madrid can be sure of winning the Copa Del Rey.

To be honest, this season Real Madrid is not too convincing to win the Champions League, that's if I compare the performance between them and Manchester City. It is undeniable that Manchester City deserves more to win, once again if we look at the comparison between the two. But we know that Real madrid are a team that can always pull off big surprises, and that could happen in this match.

Real Madrid will have to a very difficult match against an English club. Manchester City's players are in good form at the moment. Nevertheless, I think that Real and Manchester City are about equal in terms of strength. For the Madrid club, the upcoming match against Almeria will be very important. Ancelotti still has fresh memories of how difficult it was to eliminate Man City in the semi-finals last season and here they are again having similar fixture this season so it might just be a casual game for Madrid and the outcome determined by how Almeria responds to their casual game style.

They might guard a few players especially for their core so they don't get too tired, but on the other hand they will definitely aim for 3 points in this match.

Another small problem is that Atletico Madrid are going almost close to RM, they are only 2 points behind and that's not much considering there are still a few more matches to play. Easy win for sociedad. Osasuna was getting bad result. It's caused by this club will be facing real madrid in the final of copa del rey. It will be a problem if osasuna will keep lose in the la liga as it will be affecting the mentality from the players.
I meant we must try to take this as a way for osasuna to evaluate its performance in la liga. Sociedad was making more shots on target rather than osasuna. Osasune was able to touch the ball even often compared with sociedad but the quality from the players are different. Sociedad was focusing to make attack against osasuna as many as poissible while osasuna was making only one shot on target. it's very bad for osasuna.

I think it is always difficult to pin down everything to the coach when one got sacked and a new one comes in. The coach really can do mostly mental work when you are so deep into the season. Perhaps he found the right words to motivate the players, but honestly when you are in their situation and you are about to lose it all, maybe there comes a point where you manage to motivate yourself with the help of the coach. If the team starts winning, it was the coach and if the team keeps losing, the sacked coach is to blame because he left the team in a bad condition. I am not a friend of that. But indeed they are doing much much better right now.
