I was surprised for a second because I was of the opinion that his contract expires in 2025, but you are right. His salary does reach its peak this season is this correct? I think for 2024/25 it is going to go up to 16 million net per year, but correct me if I am wrong.

However, a quick glance into some of the details of the contract shows that he has some clauses that could lead to his contract expire earlier. There is something like a minimum playtime per season or so. Can't sort out all the details, but he is an interesting individual right now. I do think it's best if they can sell him now Saudi Arabian Premier Clubs are all after him for a higher price and figure. We saw his performance dropping at the start and f the season with the fans of Barcelona criticizing him when they should have backed him up. I won't place blames on him for real, what I feel like is that the lacks depth and some creative players unlike what they have during last season.

Like, he hasn’t done nothing for Liverpool and his got everything, a supply of passes and 80% of the time, his attempts are always off target. Barcelona don’t need nothing to do with an inconsistent striker like Nunez. Considering the fact that, Real Madrid would be bringing in Kylian Mbappe, it would be no chance for Barcelona in the league with Real Madrid and the El-Classico games would be pretty much one sided. Girona has not been able to win against Alaves. They only got one point from that match. At the same time, they have also not been able to win or even get one from the last match that they have played. So now they have created a big difference in terms of points with Barcelona. that’s why I do not think they will be able to get to the second position anymore unless Barcelona actually somehow loses all the matches that they have left. In La Liga, there are only 3 teams that have won more than 10 titles and they are Real Madrid (36 titles), Barcelona (27 titles) and Atletico Madrid (11 titles). Real Madrid won 9 titles since the 2000s until this season, Barcelona won more with 11 titles, while Atletico Madrid only won 2 titles.

If we talk about the success of the three teams since 2000, then Barcelona is of course still the most successful team compared to the other two, winning 11 titles. Valencia won two titles in the 2001–02, 2003–04 seasons, but after that Barcelona and Real Madrid really dominated the title win. The problem is, I don't think Barcelona are ready to back Xavi in the transfer market. The kind of players they have their eyes on are not players that can strengthen their team to compete. Players like Kimmich and Silva are good and they won't be exceptional signing, but the million dollar question is, "Are Barcelona going to sign them". There are player that would be so happy to play for Barcelona like Nico Williams, Kimmich, Silva, but Barcelona has to be very persuasive and ready to fight their clubs to sign them.

Also, I feel Barcelona needs another top striker. Since they won't be relying on Vitor Roque then they have to either sell him or send him out on loan and get another striker. The problem is, they need a world class striker. They need somebody that can rival Lewandoski for his position, not just someone who would be number 2 to him.
If Barcelona signs Kimmich, Silva, Nico Williams and a good top striker, they might be okay.
