I have the feeling that thus season will be a huge surprise to the bookmakers because something tell me that Barcelona is all out to reclaim their glory when the whole world would be expecting Real Madrid to enjoy and easy ride. I also agree that Real Madrid will benefit commercially from the signing of Mbappe. The French star's signing will increase Jersey sales, endorsements, media attention, and social media fellowship. But I would need to see the source of your information to believe that Carlo Ancelotti was not interested in getting Mbappe. I have briefly checked and found no information about it.

Don't forget that Ancelotti decided not to sign any top striker last season because he was waiting for Mbappe. Rather they decided to buy Joselu as a temporal number nine. In the case of Valencia, for me you remember wrong, because in the last 10 years they have been 3 times in fourth position (14/15, 17/18 and 18/19), while the rest of the years they have been a mid-table team, finishing the seasons 20/21 in 13th and 22/23 in 14th. With the disastrous management it's surprising that it hasn't been worse.

In the case of Sevilla, they have been higher up the table, usually fighting to get into the top positions, but the last two seasons they finished 11th and 13th, which shows a worrying trend.

Just look at this list... Militao is injured again!? Real Madrid hasn't signed any defender as well. I'm quite sure that Ancelotti is regretful for not signing a CB in the summer transfer window.  

Camavinga and Tchouameni are also injured who could have been used as CB temporarily. Now who is going to play beside Rüdiger?    I guess Carvajal will take Militao's place in the meantime.

Aside from Bellingham and Ceballos, it says "return unknown" on Transfermarkt for the rest of the injured players. I don't know how Real Madrid are going to deal with this. Their job will be even more difficult in the Champions League.
