What's currently happening to the formidable Barcelona? It's a curious question because Les Blaugrana form declined in previous league games, been unable to grab a victory in the last 3 games played.

Barcelona has failed to win in the last three matches. I have seen that Barcelona players have been able to attack a lot. But the attacking players missed a lot of opportunities. However, I would say that one of the reasons why Barcelona lost points is that Barcelona's defenders did not play well. If the defenders had performed well, Barcelona would not have lost points in these three matches.

Hansi Flick is an experienced coach, there is no doubt about it. However, Hansi Flick needs to be more aware in choosing match tactics. Otherwise, Barcelona will not be able to keep the top spot in the table. If Barcelona wants to keep the top spot in the table, they must continue to win.

Tonight Osasuna will be travelling to face Sevilla for their 15th round of the league. Osasuna haven't won in their last two matches, one draw and a lost which was against Real Madrid with 4-0. Sevilla won their last match and won four of their home matches out of five games, the faced a defeat and tonight they are hosting Osasuna. Sevilla happened to have more wins in their last five meetings, three wins, a draw and single defeat.

As long as they don't make any mistakes, especially unnecessary fouls, consistency will be easy for Barcelona.

Some of the defeats and draws that Barcelona have had this season have come from their own mistakes, which are too much to consider the opponent's attacks to have a big effect, which in the end when a momentum is obtained by the opponent then they will try to commit several fouls that end up with a loss for them.
Facing Celta and Monaco is proof that for Barcelona actually in terms of attack patterns and determination they are very good, it's just that they always make fatal mistakes that result in a red card which is punished by losing full points which they can actually still get in pre-match in terms of probabilities owned.

Yesterday's match made Barcelona even more disadvantaged because they again could not bring full points which makes now their points can be caught up at any time by Madrid.
The difference in points is now only 1 and Madrid still has one match remaining which means of course this will make Barcelona lose its position when Madrid manages to get full points when completing their remaining matches.

Isn't it obvious they are not in the form anymore. The one time hype is over and they might just be where Xavi left them before Laporta gave him a sack letter. They have lose golden opportunity even after leaving Real Madrid with 9 points some weeks ago, they won them in the El Clasico and everyone was happy they did but they are not different from second place now because of Real Madrid pending match which they will win for sure, nothing is going to stop that particular one.

Barcelona team isn't like Manchester City, there is no.comparism in any form because Manchester has won 6 Premier League title in the last 8 years, I can't say the same for Barcelona that can't beat Real Madrid to their games. The way I'm viewing this table right now, I'm seeing Real Madrid as the top already because they are going to win that pending match which I think after they are done, they will be +1 different from Barcelona, unless each of them lose a match from this week.

Barcelona always tries to win matches, but sometimes the results don't go according to plan. The defeat they had was not a desired outcome, but it was an unavoidable outcome for many reasons. Of course they need to win the next match so that the points gap with Real Madrid is maintained, but their chance to lead the standings has now disappeared considering that Real Madrid has one game in hand.

The pressure is getting higher every time Barcelona loses points and now Real Madrid only has a gap of 1 point with 1 match postponed. If Real Madrid wins this match, then clearly Barcelona must be willing to drop to second place with a gap of 2 points.

Do you think that the reason for their poor results is that Flick, now after a third of the season, decided to experiment with the lineup? I think it's just bad luck, they play just as well, they attack a lot, but they just can't score, sometimes it happens. Thus, I heard seczenky (I don't know if u got it right)  will be starting the next game and I'm sure the house might be a little full once again,  looking forward to their next game before further conclusions

 Once again, Osasuna has proven that they can be a thorn in the side of big teams. Not saying that Sevilla is a big team at the moment but they were once there and with how the game turned out, I don't think Sevilla would have been spurred to get a goal if Osasuna hadn't taken the lead with a beautiful header from Ante Budimir in the 69th minutes of the game.
Dodi Lukebakio was awarded MOTM after his beautiful performance in the game and how he was also able to grant the hosts an equalizer. Sevilla haven't being on their best since this season started and with their position on the Laliga at a precarious state, they need to win more games if they don't want the likes of Rayo Vallecano to overthrow them from their 11th position.
 A beautiful game to watch, action filled and intense but if you asked me, I feel Osasuna had the greater chances of winning the game than Sevilla but I guess a point is better than none since this one point had helped Osasuna to leapfrog over Girona to sit at 7th on the table.

Even after all the bad results they got in Real Madrid but being in a bad situation didn't make Real Madrid to lose this game. If eventually Barcelona miss out on winning the la Liga title this season because of their recklessness I'd be very disappointed. They have every opportunity to continue leading by a large margin but they are slipping off the line of topping the table with a better point gap, losing to Getafe and dropping 3 solid point just gave Madrid an edge over them because Madrid only 1pt to catch up with Barcelona and with a game at hand so Madrid are just waiting for another mistake from Flick's men to top the table.
Talking about the players of Madrid I'd say Bellingham is the player that gives the energy in that team to continue going forward and having Mbappe is a distraction because they want to put him in line to flow with the game but he only uses that "I can do it alone " mentality to kill the positive vibes of the Madrid players, which is not good. He scored a goal doesn't mean he is in form even if he's the top scorer I don't think he has gotten his best performance back, he needs more time to adjust. I'm saying all these because whenever he tries to impress he put himself under pressure which is not helping him in anyway.

Yeah, I agree with you that Barcelona has taken the defeat due to the high press up of Las Palmas defense. Literally, Las Palmas defense is just doing so well. I see it; all of their players are running towards the box. I mean their strikers are also dropping back for the defense. So that's why Barcelona couldn't find the chance for score. The player of Las Palmas used to stop the attack with full force and at the same time tried to concede goals by running a counter attack and in fact, he was successful with this tactic.

When a team looks short of goals and does not score, it is part of the learning curve and you need better teamwork on pitch and better finishing. It is something we can hope intensive training and strategy evaluation will get the players to finish chances better. My goal is to push and push myself to the best of my ability and to try and improve no matter what, and I think the fans can be a bonus to push you even more to improve.' With the right spirit and confidence, of course there will be positive results. We have high hopes and belief that there is potential for that’s the next game that we look forward to.

I don't find both Barcelona and Real Madrid as powerful as previous seasons. Well we can say that Barcelona improved a bit but not as they used to be before and Real Madrid clearly dropped a lot even with Kylian Mbappe in..
In these two days there will be a match between Barcelona away and Mallorca while Real Madrid will face away Athletic Bilbao. These matches will not be easy with the actual performance of Barcelona and the fact that Bilbao is an annoying opponent for big teams for Real Madrid. I don't know if there will be a switch in the ranking between Barcelona and Real Madrid but certainly one of them will not collect the 3 points, that's what I expect.

I'll like to cut Flick some slacks because he took on a team of young players and is making the best with what he's got. I expected him to do well with Barcelona, but not this good. He has made a few mistakes, like the Osasuna game where he rented about 6 of his starting player and played a defence of 18 year olds all through but I think he's doing well.
Barcelona has not lost a game where all their first team players are complete. They should have won their last league game against Las Palmas but they were without Casado, Yamal and Olmo. Balde got injured earlier on and was replaced by Martin. So I don't think they've been that bad.
I believe they will find their form again, same thing I also believe about Real Madrid. The season is long and I don't expect any team to just trash through every opponent they meet.

They missed Yamal. He's a very effective player that can put passes in behind the opponents for Raphinha to chase. With Yamal on the pitch the defense is always on their toes because he can put dangerous balls in behind and that will make the team not be able to attack as much as they'd like to.
But when Yamal is not on the pitch, the defense is free to attack as they want.

Mallorca will be hosting Barcelona tonight with the visitors hoping to redeem themselves after losing to Las Palmas few days back, that game would have given them a better point gap with Real Madrid getting closer. Mallorca has been doing extremely well since the beginning of this campaign with a 2-1 win against Valencia, that would keep Barcelona on their toes because the host are not in any way going to mess around like they (Barcelona) did against Palmas. Mallorca are here for business and if care is not taken it can turn out to be another point loss for Barcelona. Being the favorite doesn't mean they (Barcelona) will feel relaxed or underrate their opponent, they need to get all 3pt to keep the title hope alive but this game could end in a draw from the way the host played out last time but let's wait to see how Flick's men control the show.

But this is too superficial if we want to discuss Mbappe's performance in the last few months. He has scored some penalties included in those 8 goals, which is fine, but Real Madrid needs him to score goals apart from penalties. That is what he is known for. He scores when the opponents expect it the least. The numbers aren't bad, but this is like looking at the numbers when a striker scored 5 goals in 1 game and then doesn't score the next 4 games. He then averages 1 goal per game, but is it good for the team? I doubt it. He doesn't show up enough in the important games and now that you mention these numbers, where does Real Madrid need him to score the most? In the Champions League, but in that competition he rarely scores. I think 1 goal so far and this is the reason why they are where they are in the table.

Mbappe still needs time to become the player expected and I see a lack of teamwork which makes him a little bit difficult to score and even though in some previous games he missed too many chances to score.
Real Madrid is experiencing a player crisis due to injuries so it does affect the entire team but slowly they are starting to recover and now only one point is left from Barcelona because Real Madrid still has one game left that they have not played. Blaming Mbappe for not being able to score goals is also not right, because there are times when players will go through difficult times, plus the team is in an unstable condition and we hope they can continue to improve for the next match.

Is it a lack of team work or a lack of ability to work as a team? Those are two different pairs of shoes. This is not Real Madrid from 5-7 years ago when Real Madrid was packed with world class midfielders and players like Kroos who had tremendous precision in their passing and cold play the decisive one into the right place so the striker could use full speed and be in the perfect position to finish the attack.

Ancelotti has been very good during bad times when his team didn't play their best, but yet successfully. This is something I believe Barcelona has to add to their portfolio so to say. Barcelona can either play beautiful football and win big time, or they play bad and lose. Real Madrid instead knows very well how to play bad and win and this can make the difference at the end of the season.
