Honestly with the type of midfielder that real Madrid lined up today I am not surprised that they lost. Yes it understandable that they coach is also trying to have a solid team for their match against Athletico Madrid in the mid week but going by how solid Real betis has been lately I will say that they underrated then too much and they paid fge costly price.
The league is still very opened and with inconsistency here and there between the top three team, the league is very open for anyone.

Bellingham and Valverde were not in the squad . And that is why we did not see a good performance from madrid's midfield. Luka modrich did not play well in this match. modrich does not have the ability to perform  well regularly from the Starting XI anymore . It is foolish to expect too much from Modrich.

However I did not think that Real madrid would lose this match . My guess was that the match would  be a draw. If Madrid's defenders had performed a little better, Real Madrid might not have lost the match. The first half ended 1-1. Real Betis increased their attack speed in the second half, but Madrid performed a little more carefully. But in the end , Real Madrid lost the match by a margin of 2-1.

Atletico madrid is now at the top of the points table. Real madrid is in third place . If barcelona wins against Real Sociedad today , the top spot of the Laliga table will be in Barcelona's hands again..

Isco managed to destroy his former team, Isco managed to make an assist for Betis' first goal and then, Isco also managed to make the second goal for Betis through a penalty kick. In my opinion, Ancelotti made a mistake in playing the line-up and another factor is the large number of injured players, which made it difficult for Real Madrid to maintain their best performance. Maybe Ancelotti is preparing his players for another game vs Atletico in UCL, but if Real Madrid players continue to play like this, Atletico will punish Madrid with a big score.

This your assertion is really somehow to me and it's really not going down well with me. Things ain't really going down well with Real Madrid at the moment and we all saw how they have been performing in the league for some period of time now. After an impressive performance both in the champions league and the la Liga, Madrid chose to disappoint the manager and the fans. Against Real Betis it wasn't suppose to go down the way it did but a draw would have been better but they lost 2-1. Winning this game would have given Madrid an opportunity to stay at the top of the league table while they wait for ATM (that won their game) and Barcelona to play at least it would have made ATM and Barcelona to play a desperate football just to take the lead but that loss gave ATM high momentum to play their game and it favored them with a 1nil victory. Well, I've never wanted Real Madrid to win the league but Barcelona and I expect Barca to do everything possible to get all 3pt from Real Sociedad, it won't be easy but I feel Barcelona won't mess up this opportunity of topping the table with a point gap between them and ATM and 3pt between them and Madrid.

I just want to say for now Real Madrid after losing 3 points from Real Betis and by showing such performance it is not impossible to get out of the La Liga title race. Shit happens. There are some days, that these players wouldn't be in their best form. What makes a player outstanding is his capability to be in form most times and not in few matches. Will I say that Madrid did not want to overwork themselves too much in this match that made them unable to equalize the goal, because they have a very important match against Atletico in UCL.

even without Jude Bellingham, they were supposed to do better than scoring first and allowing real Betis to equalize and even come back to winning the game. they were dominating the game and had an excellent combination that led to the first goal. upfront and even the midfield worked really well as though Jude was even in the game, we all know that Jude Bellingham would have made a difference but then, sometimes Madrid defense can be really porous allowing opponent score some really annoying goals from set piece.

well, from the way the two goals they conceded came, one from a free header and the other from the penalty spot, you wouldn't point the blame on any aspect of the game knowing that things like this happens on a normal. we just have to give some credit to Anthony with regards how things seem to have changed for the team since he joined them. he was everywhere and made a serious impact in the game. as for Barca, they are certainly going top of the table after the game against real Sociedad.
