Even with their backup goalkeeper Atletico Madrid managed to get what they wanted anyway. But that game was hell of a thing though. 

Honestly I wouldn't expect this many goals in a Barcelona - Atletico Madrid game normally. A 4-4 draw? That's too much. Simeone's side fired up the game very early. But it wasn't too difficult for Barcelona to come back from that with their great attackers. I'm excluding Ferran Torres of course. Atletico missed out of this opportunity if they were able to hold on to their early goals they should have found their way back to the second position on the table. How did they miss their opportunity of climbing back to second place when they won their game in the Laliga and are two points beneath Barcelona? This game is a competition different from their domestic league so points gained or lost don't affect their standings in the Laliga.
Barcelona could not get the upper hand over their visitors as a late come backs from  Marcos Llorente in the 83' and Alexander Sorloth 90+3 goals destroyed any hopes of Hansi Flick's men having an edge. This was the first leg and I'm sure that the return leg would be as fierce.
 The performance by Atletico Madrid is really proving to people that they deserve to also be in the title race and the amazing thing about them is that their performance in the champions league is the same thing they give in every other domestic one they find themselves in.

Really a great and entertaining game from both teams but the returning leg will determine the superior. It's dramatic how both Athletico and Barcelona score four goals and then concede four goals at the same time. I'm also confident that Athletico would have won with Oblak in the post. Look at the Cubarzi and Martinez goals, Musso as the goal keeper should own the area in front of the goal and deny them those goals. Oblak shouldn't be benched in a game like this next time unless he's injured. He wouldn't concede that many goals many especially when his team already had an early lead.

Barcelona played well too but wasted so many chances. They had every chance to decide this game in the first leg and relieved themselves but wasted the opportunity thinking it was over after their come back and then taking the lead. I really doubt Barcelona would stand a chance against Athletico at their home ground. I observe this Barcelona players probably due to their young age but they are too excited for nothing and cannot fight until the end.

I respect Barcelona alot but today's draw against Atletico Madrid is a very embarrassing and shameful one. It's crazy that a team like Barcelona bottled a 4:2 lead.
Atletico Madrid had the head start going up by two goals then Barcelona took over going 4:2 up, at that point I thought the possible next goal would come from Barcelona but rather Atletico Madrid came back to level the game and to crown by annoyance, I lost a bet because of that.
