Are people still hodling cryptos these days? We all know how it went down. Everybody was shouting Hodl in 2017 and that philosophy changed entirely in 2018. I don't think anyone should be hodling stuffs anymore. Rather, I trading them between swing highs and swing lows. I know some people that have made over 200% cumulative profit this year trading ETH.
One interesting metrics I got from the article was that, Even at a $1 Trillion market mcap, Ethereum still won't be able to reach its 2017 roi. 😢

During 2019 I benefited from holding Ethereum which I bought in early December 2018. Placing a 1:1 profit target at that time was the most realistic thing for me. Until finally I had the opportunity to resell Ethereum with a profit ratio of 1:1. After that, I did the same thing when Ethereum was around $ 150 in April and resold at $ 300 in June. During 2019 I thought I made a big profit from Ethereum with a ratio of 1:1. I think Ethereum will always be a good crypto investment destination and I prefer long-term investment.

it's pretty good investing in ehtereum without checking prices from time to time. but not seeing that development can also make you lose, even more so if you hold it in my wat for years. for example, like in 2017 to 2019, if you don't see an opportunity in 2017, you would have already passed the train.
but for now, that is a good trick, there is a possibility that ethereum prices could again have the same potential in 2017. whereas for now, it looks like ETH is sleeping, and comfortable at prices under $ 200.

The Ethereum value if compared to the year of 2017 for now value then it is very foolishness to us. Because you know that in the year of 2017 it was a super bull for the whole cryptocurrency market. And one thing to be noted here is that the Ethereum value is only eroded 7 or 8 times from the then value while other and the most of the cryptocurrency are even not existed in the market. Congratulations if you have exchanged ethereum to bitcoin because the ethereum price for bitcoin is declining. Indeed for current conditions, holding bitcoin is safer than other coins. I think it will take time for ethereum prices to return above $ 500

I cannot blame you as long as it is Bitcoin and not just any other altcoins in the market, I'm  surprise that people are leaving Ethereum when the number 2 coin is always a contender for a top position, checked the dominance in the market and saw that Ethereum is still enjoying a good lead from the other top coins in the market, people should still consider Ethereum in their portfolio.

the price of ethereum in 2017 is higher than in 2019 because there are many successful blockchain platforms and market conditions are also good by indicating the price of bitcoin that can reach its highest price in 2017 so that many other coins whose prices increase as happened with ethereum.

The statement that already made by him is enough to draw a conclusion who is him. He is a speculator that create non sense speculation about ethereum.
He was seeing old ATH as a data to take his speculation. it looks like that he was taking it as a big rocket that never fails.

Very much different price developments from ethereum between this year and also in 2017 where prices are very difficult to rise. I myself still hold ethereum since the price decreased at the end of 2018 although the portfolio statistics show an increase but I am still holding because the target of $ 500 ethereum has not been reached this year

damn dude, you are so cool you can get such a profit. not many people can take advantage of opportunities like you. if for 2019, i think this ethereum is suitable for trading or short-term investments (you must have big capital). but serious it's better that we wait until the end of this year (actually i am curious).

Everything related to market risk moves on a cycle. Same has happened with ethereum as well, the market value of ethereum reached the peak along with bitcoin. Later the drop is very big and unexpected, because more growth was expected from ethereum for the year after 2017. This is why more people stated ethereum is dead. Being optimistic is the right thing to do by now, since it's not only ETH who is bleeding but the entire market are suffering with this current situations. Instead of thinking of giving up much better to buy more if you still have money to invest in. Many things are possible to happen after this year, Bitcoin halving is coming next year together with ETH 2.0, there's impact for sure though it isn't an assurance but it can helps to bring more new investors inside and ride back with this coin.

of course there is a big price difference between eth 2017 and eth 2019. eth reaches a peak in 2017 when it costs $ 1500. and now the eth price is under $ 200. very sad but this is the crypto market. high volatility can provide large profits but can also experience large losses. but I'm still optimistic about eth because eth is a potential coin.

I do not see why you think this is sad, if you had sold at 1500 and then bought ethereum for 200 you will have 7.5x your original amount of ethereum which is not a small profit at all, I know many believe in holding their coins no matter what but the evidence strongly suggest that if you know how to trade you could multiply your money even faster and this is an example of this.

Do not look at crashing markets as something bad, they are an opportunity for the smart investor to buy their favourite coins for a cheap price, and in the case those coins reach their all time high again then you will have even more coins from which you can extract even more profits than if you were just holding your coins.
