of course if you compare eth prices in 2017 with 2019 is very far. in 2017 it reached a price of $ 1500 and is currently only in the range of $ 180. many eventually end up giving up eth and replacing eth with another coin or bitcoin. but I am still optimistic that eth will pump again maybe the decline is happening now because of the impact of the many ICO scams and also the value of bitcoin is also down. The current conditions are certainly far different from years 2017 ago and your decision is very right if you are currently exchanging your ETH with BTC. Bitcoin is a good investment now and Altcoin is suffering a lot, about price comparisons, of course Bitcoin is still much better because the price still stands at half the price from years 2017 ago.

It is true, at that time we had high hopes for Ethereum. Frankly, I was hoping that the Ethereum would go for 2500$, but with all the disappointment, Ethereum went down to below 100$. So many people might say that Ethereum already died, has no hope and so on. I didn't lose hope because I'm optimistic that If not possible in this year Ethereum will reach at least 1000$ mark in upcoming year.
