I agree that mining is available only to a few people today. To make good money on mining, you need to have very expensive mining farms. For example, I am engaged in POS-mining. Obviously mining is the best way to earn money. But i considered mining is one kind of investment. Because firstly you have to spend big amount of money to buy mining instrument also electricity cost will be included but it’s one time investment and this is totally risk free income but very lower income source it will be very difficult to afford. ICO/IEO is how much risky and too much profitable investment. So, i think both of the method are very different which one risky or another is safe.

I think both are risky as you may lose your investment, mining is difficult too but if you choose good ICO/IEo you can get a good return in short time as soon as the coin/token go live in exchanges.

it's risky but mining is safer I guess. the results obtained depend on how the market price conditions are, if it is good it will be profitable but if it is bad I think I have to hold it in advance.
mining is better for the long term, whereas IEO or ICO is better for the short term. because coins or tokens from new projects sometimes won't last long because there are too many rivals and can't compete in the market.

For long term, mining has the advantage if the miners are willing to hold till the coin that you are holding will have profitable value, unlike with IEO/ICO investment where scam developers are running around the market and waiting for the target crowd to flee with their investment. Both have the risk, it's all about how you will balance your decision and stand with your chosen venue of investment.

Mining used to be my passion. It was thing that brought me to BTT, back in 2014, I got myself an account at mining.bitcoin.cz and could not figure out some things. It was a fun time.

That's why many people still prefer investing on ICOs and IEOs. It is not easy to build a crypto mining rig and you'll need to consider many things not just the capital. how if you mining a wrong coins ? you will lose your money and time too right ?

The risks that you will take in mining is very low unlike in ICOs, ICOs are really risky investment and it is better if we will just invest in mining that participate in ICOs. But there are also disadvantage in Mining, in order to start a mining; we should have a high capital.

I chose mining than ICO, I have now mining set in my house and I keep earning from it. ICOs are really tough investment, I tried to invest some of my money in ICO and I only experience loss.

I do have a mining rig and I agree with what OP has said but in my country electricity bills are so high so I decided to stop mining and invest a little on some promising coins that I expect to grow its value overtime, also I join in legit bounty campaign by doing my due diligence so I can earn more while holding my coins.

There is too much competition out there and you need to be very careful while choosing a particular coin for mining. This is extremely important, as sometimes the exchange rates can go up or down by as much as 80%.

First you need to calculate the time required to get 100% ROI. On average, for a small scale miner, it takes at least 9 to 12 months to recover all the investment. After that period, most of the revenue will be profit.  But it is not always that simple. Sometimes there can be price fluctuations for the cryptocurrency that you are mining, and sometimes the hash rate can go up suddenly causing a sharp decline in the mining output.

But not all member here can afford to but GPU miner or any Mining rigs. And I don't think its practical to prioritize that just for a people like me here. Its good for you if you get profit, but for the majority especially at this point of time I don't think so. I would rather go for investing in IEO as long as the exchange is listing at the top of the market that be fine I guess, just like kucoin, Idax, Binance and others.

For me it is not a good idea to do mining cryptocurrencies because it just cost too much for me to build a good passive source of income and it is better for me to just focus in investing in ICO/IEO because they pay a bigger amount of return and it is much better and easier to do compare to buying parts of your mining rig, building, running and maintaining it.

Yes mining is not worth anymore since the price drop from 20k , the block is harder and we hard to get much bitcoin. That's why many old bitcoin miners selling their rig and the price of VGA is not high as bitcoin mining trend

Well, I prefer investing. Mining is a good option only if you have cheap electricity and easy availability of hardware. In my country it is not profitable due to high cost of electricity. Mining also is much more complicated. So, I will definitely stay with ICO/IEO.

Mining requires a large capital because if only with a small capital you are just wasting time, because the rewards you get are too small. I personally also don't like to invest because the current conditions are not very good for investors.

In current market conditions, there is an opportunity to buy and accumulate good coins at low prices. Maybe many investors are afraid that prices will fall deeper, but if we invest for the long term, I think the market will recover for the long term

Really mining is a good option but i need more time for study about mining so now i prefer IEO investment in exchange binance. I enjoy it IEO some like bouns with makes profits. Even i am ready now for again participate one project IEO like XCARD if they will be added a popular exchange.
