Someone holds the coin because they believe the coin has good expectations. Patience in trading is very necessary because altcoin season has not arrived even though bitcoin dominates at this time. Actually I can't blame altcoin or ethereum though, because prices do go up and down. As a holder or investor, everything must be prepared before market becomes a dump.

Well i understand your sentiment if you lose profits from ethereum, on my side it's a different story because i managed to buy ethereum at dips then sell it at high then take my profit. The market is volatile we can't blame ethereum alone, we just need to get in on the right time.

It is a basic principle to seize the opportunity whenever there is dip in price of good coins like Ethereum, buy them at low price and sell when the price shoots. Here, the greediness level of each trader will determine at which price to sell. Excessive greedy investors or traders always fail to sell and make profit because they fail to recognize the smaller percentage surges.

Ethereum has never been disappointing, it only depends on how you deal with the changes. As for me, Ethereum has been very consistent in proving its worth as a currency. I guess you're expecting too much out of your Eth holdings. It is needs to undergo a recovery process so you still have to be patient and wait until it reach the best value. Any cryptocurrency is volatile and the price is really unstable so you have to deal with it and wait for thee best time to gain a good profit.
