I do believe Cimmy made a vague post. I think what he meant was if he was buying, he will buy spot on an exchange. But to avoid losses in value, he will hedge his crypto assets by placing shorts to offset losses in a downtrend (while holding his coins).

In my opinion, pump will not work during this time period because the current market does not help many whales so pumping is not necessary. As a result of 2017 altcoin hype it happens that i bought ao many altcoin Durring that period.  Unfortunately for me many of those altcoins dumped below the price i bought and i was forced into holding them for when they can regain their price back. So as of now am holding quite a number of altcoins and am not buying any addtional ones, luckily for me invested in altcoin with real usecase so which will likely pump again. For those buying new altcoin, i will advice that they buy altcoin with good usecase which can stand the test of time and maintain good price even in a long run

we have to fully understand some things:

1 stop loss, we have to use and know how SL placed

2 Support and resistance, ofc we dont sell it on support, but on resistance

3 candlestick, candle types, wick, those are important as a confirmation
