Me too am trying to increase my BNB bag so that I can more lottery tickets during IEO but if the price of BTC falls below 7k I would sure start loading up my BTC bag again.

Top coins and price dropping that's both a good idea, as long as you invest what you can afford to lose, you know the market we never know when the market suddenly drops while we sleep or suddenly increase, so always expect the unexpected.

I would suggest you to stick with Bitcoin. The safest bet you can place. Even if the price drops, it will eventually go up (might take days, months or even years. You just have to keep holding it). Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin. You can make some quick lucky profit from it but you will need to take some huge risks. Bitcoin took a dip. So now is the best time to buy more bitcoins! If you still want to invest on altcoins, spread out your investment.

You are good at investment, Never we shouldn't invest in one coin or several coin at a time. As a investor you can invest when market is collapsing, then invest again if collapse again. During sell you can't sell at a time, follow the same pattern.

You should diversify your portfolio and invest in different coins.
It is better if you invest in top 10 or top 20 altcoins because in this way you will have less risk of losing the money.

For me it is a good idea, you have to be brave in making decisions and when the price of coins starts falling I think it is the right time to buy them and I would prefer bitcoin. But do not forget to consider a few things before deciding to buy it, see the development of the chart in the past few days and whether you think the price of the coin will recover and increase, at least the price of the coin will not fall further.

Yeah, most of the alts have lost their initial value and the coin like ETH have proven to be a great disappointment. Talking about BTC I don't think it is the best time to invest in it as price needs some more stabilization. But I think BNB would be a good option to look right now as I believe this coin has a great potential to grow so I'm too going for it...
