DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN?

 A lot of people have heard of the benefits achievable with BTC investments and decided to invest.
 The recent market setbacks have brewed a very big question in the minds of new investors...

 What will be your response to this question?

I was asked by this kind of questions several times by my friends who are new in investing in Bitcoin, and I understand that they are still in a stage where they might lose all that they've invested, I just talk to them in a relaxed way and show them proves that it will eventually recover and show them proves that it is normal and it will recover, my friend has done that to me when I was just a newbie and asking similar question.

Let's remember that we lose already if we already sold our Bitcoins at lost, but if not yet, then it's not yet the end, we can still earn and benefited from it.

My friends also questioned me that, they think that I was scammed by Bitcoin and they felt sorry for me, what they didn't know is holding is just one of my source of income, what I am investing came from the fruit of my profit, so I won't lose anything, but I don't want to lose this chance to take risk.

At least 2-3 years, you can buy BTC and hold, this market is in crisis so it is difficult for you to make a profit in the short term, but in the long term everything will be the opposite. Investment does take a long time and a minimum of a few months to get a profit, and it will be more profitable to make a long-term investment that requires 1 or 2 years or more and all depends on the value of the price required.
bitcoin will be more profitable if you invest without a time limit and must have strong patience and it will avoid worries and panic when bitcoin goes down, there is nothing unprofitable to invest into bitcoin if you really understand and learn bitcoin well.

Does the timing matter? absolutely, yes. If someone tries to buy a bitcoin and it fell fown the next day would you consider that as a mistake? NO. Investment is not a 100% guaranteed to the investor, that is the basic definition of investing. Even if the bitcoin is down for a long time giving you -60% , that does not mean that you did wrong it just the timing of investing since the market is speculative you did just time your investment in a low prospect.

Sometimes you will lose, sometimes you will win and that is why Bitcoin is best investment on long term.

Common misconception of beginners about bitcoin is that they could easily make profit out of just waiting some time, bitcoin does offer valuable income with respect to time, a very long time.

I think investing in bitcoin was always a risk in a lot of ways also if you are smart enough I think if you invest in bitcoin when the market price was in a low side it was already a great opportunity that you invested in bitcoin but also in my opinion bitcoin was always a great investment since bitcoin was always good investment for long term because the bitcoin was already getting popular in the market,

Value investing on cryptocurrencies that too on Bitcoin you should not think like that because all the time Bitcoin price will boost their investors and traders who really believing BTC going boom.
So so you can do hold as much as possible unless and until you see halving effect next year.

Investment in bitcoin good idea but remember it you need long time planning with until back good market situation. Actually my all friends already take investment in bitcoin for upcoming year 2020 profitable chance.

OP created this thread on October 01, 2019 and on that day the price was $8300 and knowing that from May to October the price ranged from $8000 to $10,000 I can assume that OP bought when the price was over $8000 and currently the price is at $7200. This means that it is likely that the OP is at a loss today. Well, this is a risk that comes with investing in bitcoin.

Or just buy and wait, two different strategies even if holding is much more dangerous in the cryptomarket. And if you have a big part of your money in alts out of top 10 be prepare to lose everything

The only thing newbies should recognize is to tell the difference between a profitable market or not, good time to sell or not, and good time to accumulate or not. Basically, we, small bitcoin investors are aware that there are many techniques to use such as market analysis, technical and fundamental analysis of the graph by crypto, and with that, we can ensure profits. But with the basic knowledge of knowing when to buy and sell would do, if you are mainly a hodler. So the more you spend time in trading, the more you need to understand the market.

I would rather not hold bitcoin or altcoin for too long. Actually now we just need to change the strategy so we can take advantage. So now it's better if the coins have gone up we have to sell them quickly, if not they will move to go down again. It is not mistake to enter in cryptocurrency market. The mistake that you committed is the timing of your bitcoin investment. You did not consider the risks when you bought bitcoin. You are experiencing losses because your timing is not good. You should not buy at the peak because there is a selling pressure there, you should have trading strategies first before you bought bitcoin. Buying bitcoin with prior knowledge will help you to avoid huge losses.
