Long-term investment requires extraordinary patience in waiting for the increase in the price of the coins you have, on the other hand short-term investments are very risky but profitable but at least you have enough knowledge before making short-term investment decisions.

I prefer long term investment. In the short term, we can't make a big profit from an investment. In the long term, you don't have to take headache of daily prices. If you look at the top altcoins ETH EOS LTC People who are holding for long time they already made a huge profit. Short term can provide only 20-25% profit sometimes over 100% if you catch a big pump. In Crypto You should follow a few basic things - Never sell at loss & hold for the long term. You will make an easy profit though you have to be very careful at choosing projects. Random projects can sometimes bring big profits but they can collapse at any time. Bitcoin: i have no doubt that this BTC will give you great profit in the near future.

NEO: i love holding this as i trust the NEP-5 technology and there is a free GAS you can collect everytime.
LYL: This token is launched and base to my country, the first one and i do believe on the team and the project bought @ 5 satoshi and waiting for the price of 500! im sure!

About this short time trading, i have some coins/tokens which i love playing i do buy at low and just put it in the sell order with the target price once sold i will buy again at low! best to have now on business is EOSBET and VTX

I think top 10 ranking coin are much stable so definitely those coin perfect for the long term investment. I recommend BTC, ETH & BNB is the most potential investment for the future. For the short term investment such coin Fx,Az,Tron,Neo,Waves & ETN coins are promising for your desired profits. I also began to think that holding back did not have to be long-term, or short-term. I might let it go (sell) when I saw the opportunity. know your opportunity, and think that it doesn't come a second time, and don't regret your decision. for now, I still hold bitcoin, and ethereum but I might sell them according to their achievements.

Previously I was thinking to be a long term investor, but things have changed and my decision is getting changed. There are many disadvantages holding for long terms. You can loose your investment more than 50% due to market fall, and to get your principal, the value should grow 100%v from that point.
Also, in this crypto world, token swapping is very frequent. If we dot keep ourselves updated with project, there is a chance that we may loose our 100% investment due to not getting swapped the token which we hold. I think for medium term we can keep the investment.

now and even BNB some peoples bought at 0.003 or even 0.004 i know
that some coins can raise in the future but i don't think we have to hold
coins for yeras when u can make in this periode thousands of dollars
in short term investments i remember when i make 1700$ in hours
with NLC2 its a shit coin true with price of 20 sat now but i don't care
because i didn't hold it i just checked its chart and i found it falling
to 800 sat and raising to 900 in seconds so i bought it many times
at 800 and i sold it 900 and i make 1700$ i less then two hours  
what i want to say is why u holding coins for a year when u can
make at least 25 - 50$ in a day with only 0.15 - 0.20 BTC this
means 50*365=18250$

If you could do both why not. Or if you originally planned it to be short term but due to market circumstances, it can become long term. The pros of short term is that you could earn in matter of hours and you won't risk much of the coin that can deflate anytime. However, long term investment could produce a bigger profit in the end. It requires larger capital and even larger risk but the profits could make you want do it. Whatever which one is you preferred, just remember to be wise especially on tough times in this dynamic market.

I am personally studying short-term investments. I mean trading on large exchanges like Binance, I started trading with some of the top altcoins there and I started making profits even though it wasn't big. on the other hand I also still keep a few coins for the long term.

Big or small profits as long as it's not negative, you're still making profit. This is not easy for someone who's still trying to get into the market and studying the flow. Good on you that you are making money out of your trades because most of the new traders are struggling to make even for small amounts. I don't know the strategy you're doing but you should continue it if its effective for you. And don't abandon the investment that you have dedicated for long term.

Short term investments could start small and earn on the scale while long term investments need a higher capital so that you can profit enough. Indeed, long term investments have a greater risk but it is more profitable. Short term investments are good whenever the market feels too dynamic. It's all fun and games but when the prices starts to bull run, both kind of investments get sold out. As long as you gain profit, there isn't much difference between those two.

I always say decisions we take in cryptocurrency affect our earnings. Investing in a cryptocurrency for long or short term is. a decision and a personal choice to make base don't the type of coin you hold in your portfolio though both are risky so its a choice.

In one hour from 10am to 10.50am, I earned 2 Ethereum and value was 1k more USD. From one exchange to another exchange. I don't have enough BTC to start short time investing or trading. Holding coin price is gone, 6400 USD is gone and value is only 400 something USD.

Short term can actually be very risky but if you are low on income I think is best to think short and then maybe consider long term investment because at the end of the day is only long term that can help your business and investment grow Short is risky and can lead to panic and so many other thing your story is just sweet but in actual term even you know is not reliable
