I've read people asking and posting how to protect their wallet but apart from educating yourself on how to protect your wallet, private keys and passwords, It's also very important that you protect yourself from exposing your portfolio you don't go around telling friends and random people, coins that you are keeping.
And also It's important to have other businesses or jobs and not rely on all your needs to Cryptocurrency, people will notice this and they will think you are making a fortune from Cryptocurrency and they might target you.

So are you protecting yourself and how do you protect yourself and your family?
Yes it is true that protecting ourselves and the assets we have is not only limited to storing private keys and passwords. We also shouldn't spit our portfolios and share them with others, because that can just cause jealousy and other people can do unexpected things later. Providing advice and opinions about some coins that we think is good is not wrong but to share the portfolio and also the coins that we have I think it is risky and it's good not to show it to others.

as you say. the key to self-security is to remain low profile. not showing something fancy to yourself, so as not to make others ask about what I produce. The first time I got to know Bitcoin was very proud, and often showed off on social media. but over time, I think this will only make me a target of crime. so after that I no longer show off. and I continue to educate my family so that it is low profile even though it has a lot of assets (in crypto or in reality) this is one of self and family protection

This is a good advice indeed, one can easily become a target to criminals if people know your worth, crypto things have to be secret in the first place, in my country people get kidnapped and kidnappers are asking for bitcoin to release victim, imagine that

right, giving our portfolio of assets to others will cause jealousy so that it can damage their psychology. they can become greedy if they are psychologically unstable because they see our portfolio better. of course such boundaries must be maintained so as not to backfire for them

You don't go around telling people how much you've make from crypto that is insane, at the same time its better to give out positive vibes unto those who haven't find their way around in crypto space

With the current condition of the crypto market, in my opinion it is difficult to live only from crypto. I make crypto a side job because I invest crypto for a certain amount of time that can be done in my spare time

I think the lots of option to do to protect yourself like keep private key on paper rather on phone, try to find best play to store your assets, only talk about what you invest to people who can trust... Anyway, i think each people should have their own way, no one can be same as anyone.  Cool

You have shared an important information for all of us. There are many newbies who do not have any idea about what to do with their wallet address or private key. In some cases I have noticed that they have given private key address instead of wallet address while joining bounty campaign. So newbies should be educated about these things.

specifically for crypto, I keep it to myself and protect myself without anyone knowing, even my family doesn't know. because what I believe is that someday there will be a point where I will sell all of them and divert funds or assets from crypto to real business. that is my short and long term plan. so there is a balance between crypto and the real world, not 100% focused on crypto alone.

Yes it is really a must to protect yourself from anyone you really don't trust or know. I guess it will be very safe if we stay anonymous to those who really don't have personal connection. It is good to encourage everyone and teach them how we gain profit from Cryptocurrency but we should be very vigilant from people who wanted to deceive people.

Honestly been a silent earner is safe but i actually praise those who tell people how much they make from bounties, its kinda movitation to me not to quick as well as others too
I am always urging successful traders to share their tips and strategies with newbies so that they can learn from their experiences. We need to help them in order to increase users of crypto currencies because the more users we have, the more investment we have in the market which is ultimately great for all of us. Being the veterans of this market, old traders have a moral responsibility of guiding them.

Being private can make our life simpler, even me, I don't speculate to everyone how much I am earning, how much is my profit for my today's trading unless to my wife, I am sharing it to her. I don't need to tell people how blessed I am then sending screenshot of how you earned in social media. Also, I am making sure, me and my wife knows the credentials of each other.

Who do you mean? Is it in the crypto industry or in your home environment? if in the crypto room of course scamers always target people who have large amounts of assets, whereas if in the surrounding environment I don't care about that. I mean if people hate you, because you don't have a permanent job in the real world but can make thousands of dollars, it's better to ignore their words. You must be more enthusiastic and prove that you are a millionaire without leaving home.

Yes, it is true. myself I don't tell my friends or relatives about crypto only my family knows because people will come closer if I have money so I better not tell them only friends that I trust and also to protect assets I always be careful when accessing my wallet or provide additional security like google authenticator

maybe because of the hype that is too happy to tell success with high profits so that a lot of history of privacy assets that ultimately affect other people's thoughts negatively and excessively. In the end everything came back in one understanding that this was actually dangerous despite the initial intentions being very good, the average person like this was because he had new experiences, but in his development he turned specifically into a person who was really quiet in addressing communication about assets transparently.

I sincerely do agree with your position. The truth is that we're responsible for exposing ourselves to hoodlums. It would be difficult to get robbed without any concrete plans and information from persons who know you very well and in some situations, you may even know them. We need to be careful about how we discuss our cryptocurrency assets with others.

I totally agree. You must be the only one to know your assets and the access to your wallets to better keep your cryptocurrencies safe and sound and also to keep all the informations about it private. It is a nice experience to be working on cryptocurrency but it will still be the best if you will only the one to know your progress to avoid envy because it will just start commotion and competition that may lead to serious related crimes. You must be able to control the information that will come out from your mouth because it is the first base of protecting your assets. Having another job apart from earning cryptocurrency is also a great thing to do to avoid reliance on it and also to keep yourself earning apart from what you can attain from crypto. In this way you can double your earning from two different sources of income and at the same time, you can always have a back up source when the one have failed to generate what you need in a specific time that you need it.

The first and most important thing is to know how to play safe when it comes to your investments. So protecting your wallets and assets is the most important thing to do

Yes, we really need to protect ourselves. But it's not just in the real world but also on social media, let's not show off our trading profits, bounties and anywhere else. Let's not post this just to have likes on facebook and to be famous.
Because it can also cause you to be target by people who are interested in your money.

We must be silent earners, so that our lives will not be in danger.

Yeah, people who show off do create themselves into a target. Many scammers look for such people. Rather be clever and earn in silence. There is no need to let others know what you are doing and this is why I like crypto so much. No one needs to know what you doing or who is paying you. It is much much more private the fiat will ever be and that makes me feel much safer. If you rich better pretend you broke ^^
