Limiting your exposure is crucial. Set the amount and stick to it. For example if you go to physical casino, take $100 in cash with you and leave credit cards at home. Everything else is just a matter of entertainment.

Of course if you gamble away $100 every day that might be a different problem - addiction.

I play gambling as entertainment. However, gambling has to be controlled by Emotion. If you lose a bet, the big bet can't be taken at the next. Many people make this mistake. After losing the bet takes more bet. Because of this, he eventually loses his funds.

So long story short, we really need discipline in gambling.

Discipline is everything if you want to walk away with more then what you bought to the table.   If just playing for fun then it doesn't matter and some can just play and do well by some natural talent for a game.

In the narrow sense, I would say discipline is to always be in control. Do not act on impulse, which is purely emotion based. Have strict rules and guidelines you follow and this should apply when you win or lose.
If I say I'm going to gamble with only $200 on a certain day and set the amount aside, then I win a huge sum during the course of gambling, most people would likely start using their profit as a wager. This is were discipline is vital.

Self discipline is so important because it will save your money from losing and can make you a better gambler if ever. It will be hard if you don’t help yourself from doing that. Many people failed to make a plan before playing because they all want is to have fun but if you are there to make money then have some budget with yourself and start planning ahead. It is an ideal strategy to set a limit and stick to it. But it's really difficult to actually follow it in real life. I consider myself as a disciplined person but when I start losing, I don't care how large my increased bets are. Self discipline is helpful but gamblers often jump that barrier to lose more.
Discipline is a must for a long term gambling player and it's a skill I'm still trying with.

Put yourself in a situation - What you do when you gamble? do you go all-in every session? Do you chase your loss? Do you still continue after losing a high amount?

there is no better in gambling because this is a way to lose(more times than winning)but if you just want to enjoy then do gamble but with specific amount to spend and after losing ?go home and be happy that you enjoyed

Being disciplined is not gonna get you anything in gambling. You're lucky, you'll win and if not you get your wallet emptied. Maybe if you are a self motivated person you can keep yourself strong on losing and keep yourself into control on winning. This is where most common mistakes happen and causes frustration, depression, stress and all other mental illness. Discipline will let the user stay away from self harming.

Even if you're disciplined, gambling is -EV at the end of the day. Placing 100 small bets that result in a 1BTC volume has the same expected outcome of having 1 large bet of 1 BTC. In that sense, discipline doesn't matter at all.

What matters is your attitude towards gambling. Treat it as entertainment, and know that the less VOLUME you gamble, the more you gain (or lose less, rather) in the long run. It has nothing to do with strategy.

Like what most have said it helps and I agree with them. Being a disciplined gambler to me means you can follow a set of rules despite having winning and losing streaks or profits. In most of your gambling sessions you don't change your gambling style(number of bets, amounts, profit etc). From my experience having some sort of limit helps a lot but i've been struggling a lot of times when i'm winning because the bankroll increases and without any rules you can lose a lot in a short amount of time which can be tilting.

Being disciplined while gambling makes a great deal of change. It keeps you on track and it can limit your loss if possible. It also lessens the chance of you getting addicted in gambling. If you are disciplined you know when to stop either when you are winning or losing. This is a difficult thing to do and sometimes even how hard we try we always break our limit and just gamble till we lose a lot of money. But once, you master being disciplined, you will notice that you will not crave for gambling and never get too greedy when gambling.
