A strong character will help us to build discipline and related to gambling, with a strong character, it will help us to set aside some amount of money to gamble. We need to set aside before we gamble, so no matter what the result, if the money is all gone, we will leave the places without the want to play with another money. With some money we set aside before, we never play more than the money we have, and we know when we must stop.

We need to know the amount of money we use before gamble, we know how long it needs to stay in the gambling place, we know how many bets we should place, etc. I guess with disciplined, and we can be better even if we lose the money because we can control ourselves not to continue playing when the money is gone. We can have fun with some money we set aside without having tempted to continue playing gambling.

Put yourself in a situation - What you do when you gamble? do you go all-in every session? Do you chase your loss? Do you still continue after losing a high amount?

If you know what to do in that situation, you are a disciplined gambler.

Perhaps he's in doubt of himself and wondering what it takes to be a disciplined gambler hence how far can he go.

As long as you know how to control things within the game and without taking too much emotion then somehow you'll overcome whatever issue you have. Know your limit even you knew the momentum is there, we never know what will be the next thing could happen.

Discipline in gambling maybe can be work when we play skill game in gambling. Like card game / poker, maybe when play much of it we can know what people will do with their strategy in game. But for online poker, will be hard to read other player's face and emotion behind it because we not meet them in real life.

Discipline is very important, you should set a time or circumstances that you need to stop, you don't play around adding funds so you can just recover all your losses if you have no discipline and you cannot control yourself, you will end losing your savings, learning how to stop is the first thing that you should learn.

That's the importance of having a good discipline while you are in this venue of activities, knowing how to stop from each outcomes that coming from your game, win or lose if you will pay attention to the system that you build. I consider this a crucial factor, this is the line that divides you from becoming a loser and winner in the gambling arena, if you cannot control yourself there's a big chance that you are going to lose everything, your money, your family and sanity.
You should know when to stop how to stop and you can apply this whether you are winning or losing, you don't say I'm going to stop when I won this amount, that's crazy it's not going to happen.

You meant to say about the self control of a person while betting right? If yes then yeah it will make us good gambler even if we didn't won any huge amount as long as we can save ourselves from huge losses.Spending money for betting depends on the financial status of any person so the amount spend can look like nothing for someone and huge value for others so make sure you are getting fun while betting and don't lose too much.

Actually this is not about character, because there are many gamblers with unique characters who have good strategies and plans so as not to become addicted. A large loss will make you far more experienced depending on the response you face, if you were not prepared with the risk of gambling before, of course a big loss will make you depressed. but with mental readiness and risk preparedness of course large losses are not a complicated thing if you are ready with it. less money does not mean pleasure is at you, and less fear. many people are more challenged to use big capital when gambling?

I play for fun and to get entertained, for me discipline means controlling my emotions and knowing when to stop. Losing for me is the part of this game just like wining.

I  do not play everyday and that might be another reason I am not serious about it.

But a human will always be a human.

Despite the perseverance of a gambler not to gamble, they will still end up gambling since it is hard to do. They will always be tricked by the efficient way of earning money out of gambling. If you want to avoid losing your money in gambling, better keep your money out of gambling.

Yes it does help, if you have discipline then it means that you know your limitations and you know when to stop if you have too. Having discipline also means not becoming greedy and in that way you can avoid being depressed or stressed and also avoid major losses. For me, discipline is a big help for a gambler not to be addicted in gambling.
