maybe because altcoin traders don't have any interest anymore. why no interest? because prices continue to fall. make altcoin traders leave one by one. other than that there is no latest update of altcoin that they hold. on the other hand too many altcoins that don't have quality projects on the market. so traders are divided. and most of altcoin is only for making FUD pumps and dumps.

the trend regarding altcoin is mostly decreasing. when viewed since 2017, crypto prices are indeed increasingly declining, but that is due to the number of scammers, and negative information in 2018.

altcoin prices are declining slowly, and that is likely to be the cause of many people who are disappointed with an altcoin. however, I think they need to think that quite a lot of things are affecting the fall in altcoin prices. if this is indeed the reason, then the recovery in the price of altcoin will again bring in investors. I will wait for that.

however, I am also a little disappointed because I have been waiting for a big recovery for so long since the beginning of 2019. Because of this, people have re-invested in bitcoin.

Volatility of this market always makes investors at risk, so we will not be able to predict. I think altcoin is the most dangerous investment in this period because the value of altcoins currently depends heavily on Bitcoin so if Bitcoin does not increase, altcoin will continue the downtrend during this time. Altcoins have never been in the same place, and has never been stable, if they were even stable, it would have been good, but most altcoins have been declining strongly ever since the bear market struck and I don’t see some of them surviving again, so it is better that you just forget some of those coins called altcoins and just continue to make your investment in bitcoin.

Bitcoin still have a very bright future and a very long way to go with development, it is still the only stable project that I know for now even if the volatility of it is disturbing lots of people, but as adoption rate grows, I believe that bitcoin will gradually be increasing drastically while altcoins may still have to deal with the less interest that people have in  them now.

The thing is, as more people put more money into Bitcoin, they're also putting more money into the crypto market cap as a whole. Some of this money will go toward other altcoins and not all to just Bitcoin. If you increase the crypto market cap as a whole, then you're more than likely going to increase the price of everything in it. This is why altcoins tend to rally with Bitcoin.

Now that the market is going down again there are basically two strategies that you can apply, for those that like to hold their coins for the long term this could be the opportunity to buy many good altcoins for a very good price, however this is only a good option for those that have what it is necessary to keep holding their coins no matter what, the second option is to wait and see if the market of altcoins begins to recover somewhat, that way you could make some money with the recovery that is bound to happen.

Stability in crypto is a relative concept. In general the bigger the coin, the more resistant it is to abrupt price fluctuations. You see many micro-cap alts with low volumes, and these often fluctuate a huge amount, 100% in a day is by no means unheard of. You won't get this with high cap alts, because they have more volume and are more stable - but the high cap alts still have lower volume relative to bitcoin - which is why ETH, XRP and so on fluctuate more than bitcoin does.

All relative, and related to trading volume. Crypto is still quite a niche market. As it matures, the volatility (for high cap stuff at least) will reduce.

I think you should revise your portfolio right now. I'm pretty sure there are still a lot of good coins in the market and when the green market comes, we can dump the coins and become rich again. It's going to be boring if the market just goes green and does not give you a chance to invest, am i right? Just look for cheap coins or if ever there are expensive coins that go lower but has the capability to grow in the future, buy them.

Bitcoin has never once been stable since it's inception. Just this year, Bitcoin has went up in value from below $4k to currently over $7200 and even touching $10k at one point. This is just how the market works. There will always be volatility. I've not really been playing too close attention to all of the altcoins, but I bought TRX a few months ago and am doing pretty well on that. So, not all altcoins are dying.

Crypto market is so small in size that big players can easily move prices up or down. This will change once it gets to trillions in size in  some years. Until then, high price volatility is going to be there.

This market trend really hurting the price of alts, investors mentality still focus with bitcoin dominance most are trying to short or to quit away from alts and hold bitcoin instead. We do need to make a deeper research if we wanted to continue investing with any alts, there's no clear view if what we will expect in the next few months or years. The important thing is you are willing and you are ready to face the consequences.

yeah sometimes it is frustrating but dont forget that the wheels are round ,not all the time altcoin will fall because at some time this will grow also.
