I think it's because many people no longer want to hold Ethereum and trade it. because the fee of ETH is now very expensive compared to normal and exchanges also increased withdraw costs.
That's why many people no longer want to hold ETH and they switch to buying XRP or Litecoin to reduce costs when they move away.

That's not true, if you look at XRP and Litecoin, they also struggle like ETH, so they are not the best option.
If we are looking for a profitable coin that has perform this year, it should be Binance coin or BNB, and none other than.

The reason people still invest in ETH is because they believe just like in the past that its gonna recover and once again bring other altcoins to have an altcoins rally, I visualize that as well and I think we are long due to that.

In fact, it is not only Ethereum which is suffering from this problem of not being able to meet higher prices, but most of the cryptos including the biggest which is Bitcoin. This is occuring for a year already if I'm not mistaken. The market prices are naturally volatile so I think there's nothing to worry about. We should mind being patient at times of such and be careful of making investment choices because not all cryptos have potential to recover.

If you compare the transaction fee before and now you will see that the transaction fee of ETH is much lower since the price of ETH decrease. Dont compare it with other coins you know they have different use casses. Unless you are only looking for lower transaction fee not the project it self, then you can considered XRP for that matter.

And now they have more developers actively participating in various aspects of the Ethereum network. The only variable that is fluctuating is investor sentiment and the price.

Nothing is happening to ethereum, the developers of ethereum are doing some upgrades but investors are too busy with bitcoin to realize this, once bitcoin finally stops moving and reaches a more stable price we may see investors trying to find other coins to get profits and the first coin in their list will be ethereum, when that happens I will not be surprised if ethereum reaches a price of 500 to 600 so if you feel you can hold your ethereum for some months or even a year then this is a good moment to buy it.

Nothing is happening to ethereum, the developers of ethereum are doing some upgrades but investors are too busy with bitcoin to realize this, once bitcoin finally stops moving and reaches a more stable price we may see investors trying to find other coins to get profits and the first coin in their list will be ethereum, when that happens I will not be surprised if ethereum reaches a price of 500 to 600 so if you feel you can hold your ethereum for some months or even a year then this is a good moment to buy it.

For me personally, Ethereum is by far the best investment asset, because even in some respects ETH is superior to Bitcoin in technical specifications.  Even if we take scalability as an example, in this regard ETH is much better, which can really attract more investors, which in turn affects its value.

Nothing more than bad and failed ico project, they are the ones that did that to Ethereum, let us not overlook the fact that for Ethereum to grow, people must be having demand for the coin, and the two major things that has been creating demand for the for Ethereum is ico projects that are built on ecr20 token and the use of Ethereum for payment purpose itself.

If I may ask you, what makes you demand for ethereum coin? You demand for ethereum coin either because you want to use it to purchase these ico project or you want to use it to make payment for things, but when last did you buy ethereum token for ico, it must have been very long because there are no much ecr20 tokens that is really doing very well because of the lack of investors’ interest on those projects as a result of scam and lots of failed projects.

A lot of news about ethereum upgrade but it didn't give an impact to the ethereum's price. Right now people are seeing about how the real implementation rather than put so many expectations.
People are buying in rumour in the past but the time has changed that into the people are buying the real implementation of the protocol right now.
i can say ethereum never increase even bitcoin touched above 10k rate.
