I made all the changes and I apologize for doing this with huge delay...
I added ChainQ; I moved Atomic and BitcoinWho'sWho to the eliminated explorers and I made these changes also in the old table and in the Romanian translation as well. I will notify now the translators about the changes

Regarding Bitaps, let's keep an eye on it and if it will be fully down (or mostly down), we will remove it as well...

In response to the poll: my favourite used to be Blockchair, but they're terrible now. Check this address: I have a big monitor, but I can't see transactions. I have to scroll down 2 full pages (AI, AML, sanctions and anything else they earn from) before I see the first transactions. And after scrolling, I see TXIDs but that doesn't tell me anything without clicking them. To see all transactions, I have to check 53 different pages and click 10 transactions on each page.
The same transaction on mempool.space is better, although I still have to scroll down 1 page. But at least it instantly shows what's going on with the transactions, and I can just keep scrolling down. If I'd want to check all transactions, I wouldn't want to open almost 600 pages like on Blockchair.

I did like Blockchair but my sympathy faded once they changed their UI a long time ago to be kinda mobile devices optimized.

I now only use Blockchair for their nice filter ability to find transaction that match certain conditions you can specify.

Otherwise my prefered explorer is mostly mempool.space, sometimes additionally bitcoinexplorer.org. I also host both of them on one of my local own devices for cases where I want more privacy.

Same here... Blockchair was one of my favorite explorers back then, but as soon as they started adding a lot of stuff, it became worse ^{[for the past few years, they've been adding different partners to their "awesome" page with little to no background checks (e.g. you can still find 1xBit under the "entertainment" category while changeNOW is at the top of the "exchanges" category)]}.

Thing that made be love Blockchair, was the simple user interface they had back then before the changed it. I actually preferred it to the likes of blockain.com explorer. Once they made that huge change. It became a little confusing even to the old users.

- The Bitaps, CloverPool and SoChain explorers are partially working without JavaScript, while BitcoinBlockExplorers seems to fully work without it.
- It appears that AnonTransfer has retired its explorer ^{[it now shows a "misconfigured page" of their other service (file upload & transfer)]} while Learnmeabitcoin seems to have returned after their long break in 2023 ^{[based on available archives, it appears that they came back last year, but I just noticed it now]}.

I will do the update once we settle also about Learnmebitcoin and AnonTransfer. If we do this tomorrow, I'll make the changes tomorrow. But if it will be at a later date, I'll manage to do this only after 20 Aug. I will be in vacation (leaving Tuesday) and, since I will have only a phone with me, doing such update would be very difficult.

Hey SFR, I am back from vacation

As promised, I made all the updates, both in OP and in the old table: I added again Learnmebitcoin, I moved AnonTransfer to eliminated explorers, I mentioned that Bitaps, CloverPool and SoChain are partially working now without JS.

I made all these changes also inside the Romanian translation. What I will do in this weekend is to PM also the other translators to make all these changes as well.

About translators, things are not always easy... Most of them do the updates very fast, but some of them do the updates weeks or even months after I PM them... I keep pinging them from time to time, kindly asking them to do the updates, sigh...

How can Blockchair still be on top of this list? I liked that sites years ago, and got used to it, but by now they've replaced almost all useful information on the site for ads. If you lookup an address, it doesn't even show the inputs/outputs anymore without clicking on each of them.

I can't really come up with a number without comparing all other block explorers on the list. I'd say it should be under mempool.space, but probably still above blockchain.com.

Can you try to avoid such value-less posts (violates rule #1)? You basically use a lot of words to say just a "thank you" which doesn't really add any useful content to this thread.

The basically only reason why I in rare cases still use blockchair.com are the nifty filters you can apply if you search for certain transactions, something I miss on most other block exploreres. Otherwise the mobile phone centric display of data of blockchair sucks for me, not to mention what LoyceV complains about.

I would rate blockchair.com at most 5 or even lower. I don't know either how to put the only useful feature, the filters and download ability of filtered data, into a number. Without the filters I would rate it at not more than 4.


But I understand that rating is subjective to some point. E.g. I would rate walletexplorer.com higher than it is in the table because it has different valued features for me. I like the address aggregation feature (when I do some quick'n'dirty forensics) and can ignore that it lags behind current chain tip.

Sure... While we're waiting for the above explorer to be added, I noticed there are a couple of changes:

• Blockexplorer.com has finally added support for Bitcoin ^{[I'm not sure when they did it, but perhaps it's time to move it back to the main list]}.

I also observe annoyingly often that the site https://bitcoinexplorer.org/ is either very unresponsive or down like it is now. I just checked myself and the cloudflare.com error page indicates the site is unresponsive for whatever reasons.

But I have my own local instance of bitcoinexplorer, so I don't mind if the real site is down. I just wonder why it's so sloppy maintained.
