Hey everyone,

H@shKraker here.  I previously bought one of Jerbin's Habanero boards.  We did the transaction in BTC with no escrow.  As soon as the BTC transaction was verified Jerbin shipped the board to me in a suburb of Memphis, TN USA using FedEx International Priority and promptly provided me tracking information.  The board arrived as promised and runs as expected.  I do not know Jerbin personally having never met him/her but I can say my one translation with him/her went as I expected with no surprises.  If Wifey didn't have me on "no more hardware in the house" lock-down right now I'd be buying all of these boards.  Somebody's gonna be one lucky 10 board Habanero owner.

I'm slowly saving up the $ needed for an experiment I'm sure we would all love to see: a habanero cooled to cryogenic or near cryogenic temperatures and seeing exactly how far can it really be pushed.

What will determine the coolant used is whether I can purchase a small amount of LN2, since for ~80 I can purchase a 160L container from an airgas.com distributor in my air. But I don't need that much, ever

The CPU pot I've my eye on is the http://kingpincooling.com/dragon-f1-gemini-2/

It's on the high side. It would allow the use of either coolant no issue.

If you want to help me reach my goal and see a video of this done, tips appreciated, see sig

I can confirm Jerbin bought the boards from us. As always buyer beware, but I ended up being the middleman in his transaction with H@shkraker and he was courteous and professional in my dealings with him.

What's wrong with #1?  Anyway just leave the power connector unplugged for location 1 to disable without LINUX

I got my hands on some Habaneros and I'm looking for some answers that I couldn't find in the thread(s) on here, the website or duckduckgo-ing:

Am I correct that hfa-temp-overheat does not work for temps over 105? It seems that is the cut off set by the firm-/hardware? I.e. I set it to 110 (as a few posted in this thread) and it still cuts off at 105.

I got this error, for which I couldn't find an explanation, occasionally cgminer (4.6.1) also crashes after this:
Code:
Bad work sequence tail 1153 head 1792 devhead 1792 devtail 1258 sequence 2048        #(sometimes other numbers)
HFB 0 failure, disabling!

Is there a way to find out which firmware they are flashed with?

What is everybody running? JakeTri cgminer or the "stock" cgminer?

My impression from the thread is that the USB is somewhat finicky. I have one Zombie, that I think is because of USB troubles. It sort of reminds me of the CM-1s. Apart from the power up sequence (12V to boards first, wait, plug in USB) is there anything else that can be done about it?

Also, anyone selling Habaneros in Europe, send me a PM Wink

105 is the thermal shutdown in the firmware. I know HF increased that value to 110C in later firmwares in order to allow the Evos to clock higher, but I didn't feel comfortable with that and left it at the lower value.
With that bad work sequence error, are you running multiple pools with load balance or balance in cgminer? I have seen that before in that specific instance, and it has to do with the HF global work queue. Disabling multipool should fix that error.

What kind of error do you get on the zombie?

Just on the one pool (bitminter). There are backup pools configured, but failover mode. I have now enabled failover-only additionally.

What kind of error do you get on the zombie?

Along those lines:
Code:
ERR: Asked to memcpy 0 bytes from usbutils.c _usb_read():3170
HFA : OP_USB_INIT failed! Operation status 20 (Regulator programming error)
HFA : hfa_send_frame: USB Send error, ret 0 amount 0 vs. tx_length 8, retrying
FAIL: USB get_lock not found (1:88)

And from syslog:

Bus numbers don't match as the pastes are from different times.

I understand from the thread that the power required per board and USB is 300mA. The amount of boards x 300mA is just a bit above of what the hub power supply provides, so I got another hub on the way. The start-up sequence doesn't seem to matter.

Keep in mind that these Habaneros have operated fine at the previous owner's place. So unless the DHL guys provided a bumpy ride...

MrTeal, is there any chance you could release a purely experimental big red warning firware with the 110 ceiling?  I've got a three-die card that isn't staying cool enough and I'd like to raise the ceiling, even if it means burning it up.
