Its useless to live when you don't want to be married just to become millionaire. It is not necessary need to escape the marriage life just to fulfill your dreams. Success doesn't measure through your treasuries. It measure how you become satisfy and happy with your life. Its useless if you have nothing to do with your money. After all, life is about happiness than become rich.

Well you're right its not about money or how rich you are, what important is the happiness and contentment.

However lets face the fact that money is one of the essential thing that we need to have. Isnt it good to be married as rich or atleast financially stable?

I think its better to establish yourself before marrying someone to not experience the hardship of this life if you're penniless.

Married for you is a joy, but not everyone who is married can be happy, the fact is that the divorce rate continues to increase and the classic reason is economic problems. But, in my opinion, if the OP says that if you want to be rich, don't get married, that's not quite right, because in reality, many people marry just to increase their wealth. So, not getting married is not an indicator that we can be richer than those who are married.

Being a female, I would agree with some of the posts here. The divorce laws can be quite biased against the husband. But the merit varies from case to case. I know one case, where the wife landed with a huge alimony, even after she was caught cheating. And I know another case, in which the alimony amount was very negligible, although the husband had dumped the family. In the end, everything depends on your lawyer and the skill with which you manage your savings. There are enough loopholes out there, to come out quite undamaged even after paying the alimony.

It takes a lot of time to make money, unless you are inheriting a huge fortune. So in most cases, the super-rich will be in their 50s and 60s. And they want to marry young girls who are in 20-30 age range. There will be a lot of women who are ready to marry such men, but the marriage usually doesn't last long. And in case a pre-nuptial agreement is not signed, then the husband will lose half of his wealth, when the wife files for divorce.

I still remember one of the threads that appeared here, around the time when I first joined this forum (in 2012). The thread was posted by an user, who had converted most of his wealth to Bitcoin. He was married, and found out that his wife is having an affair with a person of another race. He silently converted his savings to BTC, and then filed for divorce. His wife got suspicious and claimed that he was not being truthful with his assets. A few of the media outlets picked up this story and published articles about it. Anyway.. I don't know what happened in the end.

The problem with their marriage is that one of them is not content with the life that they are having as a couple. I do not marrying will not make you rich, try to minimize the spending on wedding and just splurge on the most memorable moments like photography, actually good for the guy not having that much money taken away from the divorce, that is time most guys get the most debilitated emotionally and financially. Find a partner that will have the same financial goal as you, and as a partner do not cosign unless you both paid for it. You just have to be wise about it. If you become rich then government would know it or if they come to know about it and will history  and know without paying taxes how did you make money, and then the law will take its course of action and that would be more bad than paying taxes. Have to agree here. In most of the countries, the tax rate is 20% to 35% and the effective rate can be much lower given all the loopholes. If you don't want to pay taxes, then use these loopholes rather than doing tax evasion. Why do you need to go for the illegal route, when the same can be done 100% legally? No one likes to pay taxes. But there is no other option and you need to give them whatever due, after making use of the loopholes.

All of the statements are just normal situations in an adult life which people have certain control. You always have the choice to not pay taxes BUT make sure to get your necessities in a place in which there would be no tax involve. Having a bank and investing is always a choice. Get rich and be unhappy. It is okay not to be wealthy but at least I am living my life to the fullest. Material things ain't always there, and surely I can't bring it into heaven. If marriage stopped some one from getting rich then not everyone will be cursed by it, because AFAIK marriage is a blessing which kind of opens new doors of opportunity that were sealed off. If everyone was in support or against the motion a poll would be ideal to avoid one group being bias.
