I think the altcoin market is completely dependent on the price of Bitcoin, and so is ETH. The price of ETH is completely affected by the collapse of Bitcoin and if the price of Bitcoin continues to go down, we will see ETH at prices below 100$ very soon. However, in 2020 Bitcoin will have many important events so I believe that the price of bitcoin will increase and the altcoin market will increase soon as well.

well I really expected more for ether in 2020 it will probably up a bit mate because of the financial bitcoin market that has been predicted also up rise by some leading experts too ,but it's still too early for that because in a year many specific points maybe not as expected

I don't agree that the altcoin market is very much dependent on the ETH price. That is not true because each project has its own roadmap and performance. They are independent from each other. No doubt ETH will be back on its ATH, may not be next year but it will come. Next year, ETH should at least rise up to $1,000.

Yes, a lot of speculation in this forum but actually no one can know how much exactly price of ETH will go and when get pumped. Maybe speculation about ETH price, is quite high and will follow bitcoin price if it really pumped. From what i read is like that in this forum.

100% profits for top cryptocurrency nowadays is almost looks like impossible to achieve but let us hope miracle happens again just like in 2017 where cryptocurrency becomes so booming and most people in this world are investing in cryptocurrency that's was made bitcoin price was going to 20k but the scam projects are destroying it.

I think that for the most part, January will be more of the same with price fluctuations between $100-$150. May be at the start of January:

These are just my random thoughts. Since ethereum price as of today is at 133 I don't think it would go farther away at 2020. May be it would just go side ways at not less than 100. And I have read lately that Eth may go below 90? Which is I currently don't think it would considering the fact that halving would come.

  

Your speculation is fair enough and I might follow this one. Year 2020 expectations about the price of ETH will be much more closer to what you have been speculated. Some thread that I've read telling that ETH would go below $100 next year, welp if that would happen I think Bitcoin's price is really in dip during that time and that would be a great time to buy more crypto.

ETH is indeed the parent of all Altcoin except Bitcoin and if the price of ETH continues to fall then it will have a negative impact on other Altcoin prices. if next year the bear market is not over and there is no pumping happening then in my opinion there will be no recovery at all and of course price ETH it will continue to fall.

2020 is one whole year. It is composed of 12 months. Ethereum will have different prices within the year 2020 and even within the months, weeks, and days within that year. But if you are asking about the possible ATH in the price of Ethereum in the year 2020, I guess that would not be less than $500. We do not know whether the year will have a high or low price but my prediction is that within 2020 Ethereum will reach $500.

Characteristic for what? sadly so many copycats smartcontract project these days that makes ethereum lost its characteristic. Ethereum will survive and that's true but that will not go so high as when it was on 2017 caused by the migration needs a lot of time and that can't guarantee if the POS update will pump the price of ethereum to the moon.
At least the price of ethereum is still sitting on above 3 digits and that's better rather than seeing it backs again to the bottom price.

Ether needs something big to make it happen again. FOMO can be generated when there will be a huge update but not always.

the possibility to go down is very large. as long as the price of bitcoin is easy enough to go down, so does the price of ethereum. it's just that I feel that right now the price is trying to stabilize. however, this is the end of the year. all possibilities can happen at this time. So, prepare your mentality for the price reduction, but prepare your assets for the increase. Rest assured that 2020 will be the place to see ethereum prices to the moon.
