Why do people still fall victim to obvious scam?

Because they thought they will get some profit by using other trader's service.
Indeed there are some services like that, we can invest on the project which trades on the market.
But there are many scam trading services as well, they just want to get our money and run.

Yes, the world of trading is also very risky and many also make scams to get money from other people, so to avoid this kind of thing, it's best not to trust third parties that we don't know at all.

I have 24 uniswap tokens, I want to sell them and invest in one weird defi project.
I'm pretty sure it's a scam, i will buy 50 tokens and i will hope to get rich. ))
I don't have much to lose if they run away with my money, but if the price rises a lot I will buy a house, may be.

People get scammed by trying to reap outrageous profit where they have not sow /invest to justify there expectation. Also not knowing everything concerning the offer can lead to an investor been scammed.

It might be obvious scam for us, but not for them because other people may still lack knowledge about this.
Outside cryptocurrency for example in stock trading, there are many people who claiming expert in trading and they offers their trading service to the people who can't trading well.

Of course, many people will going to fall into scam because scammer are very good in convincing their victims and because others are desperate in earning money they tend to believe the scammers.

This is why as much as possible it is good to raise awareness of this problem here in the forum. The admin somehow are already doing some things to tag those projects that are potentially scam and that is the good thing.

FOMO plays a big role here people because of their greediness do not want to be left behind and do not want to be the last to buy when the market price is just starting to rise they want the floor price and sell it when it hit the selling, many falls victim to this scenario and these are newbies.

It is always greedy people that are victims of scams because they want an easy money or they want to double their asset overnight.

Yes, but if we judge greedy people only by wanting money easily, then there will be a lot of greedy people in crypto, because the average person who is in crypto wants to make money, easy or difficult matters with a certain duration of time I think it is only influenced by the knowledge they already have for now.

Investors start to believe any projects to make easy money, that's the problem. Later these greedy people hate cryptocurrency instead hate scammer and wrong research. To stay away from scam projects, buy only top exchange listed coins or 4-5 new projects in a year. Here I didn't find any greedy work.

I agree with you) Sentiment in the crypto market is nearly as all over the place as prices are. One day, prices are pumped and investors are calling for Lambos and Citadels , then the next day they’re expecting a catastrophic drop. I think the main reason is greed and stupidity)

You are absolutely right about that, people still fall victim to obvious scam, that is why they are new and they don't know a lot of things about cryptocurrencies. More than that they want to make money very quickly, but as you know it is not possible as expected. For earning money you need to be patient and wait for right time. The main reason is lack of knowledge, l think when people try learning more things about investing, trading, it would be great and no doubt there are not any people who fall to obvious scam. Scammers try finding new way to steal money, but people would not try finding any way to avoid from them. We should increase our knowledge about cryptocurrency.

They used techniques to make them look really legit and so that they can attract more people to scam. Yes, people who know bitcointalk and read many "scam" threads on this forum are not the subject of this scammers. But it is just us, there are a lot of crypto newbies out there, and with their greed and lack of knowledge, they easily fall prey to such scammers.

Newbie might be higher numbers of victim with social media scam but human has a level of capacity for greed, we just need to control. I know people who will always be skeptical to some ridiculous size of reward, so it is expected to be researched and make other inquiries. I believe if most victims can access this forum and make inquiry early they could be saved but they FOMO in any cryptocurrency related freebies. Everything is not free here and the last 3 years had proved it

Maybe it's not a beginner but a bot designed by someone to participate with a social media campaign, so it's not surprising to me to see it, most all newbies play with article campaigns because the accounts are purely new users, and they play with no caution or choose which project who promise or don't, and are very lazy to read and correct a project, therefore many beginners don't get paid at all from their work, the main thing that must be done so as not to get caught up in a fraudulent project, read, be more thorough, and always check the social media of the team, if there is no guarantee the project is not good if the social media is available the possibility of the project is good . . .

For newbies no scam is obvious, if it's that obvious they will know, lack of crypto space experience can make newbies do stupid things, when they come across too good offers they will instantly belief it's real, we have to keep warning them to learn first before anything to avoid losses

Some scams are not so obvious like you stated, they are neat trick that you can't be curious about, the truth is anyone can get scammed in crypto space, even very good projects can exit scam any time, as far as you are still into crypto don't think you are forever going to be on save side.

Not all scam projects have scam written all over them, there are examples of projects that were good when they launch and infact they looks like they will have good future but later they instantly turn to scam, there is only one way to avoid scammers today that's is if you invest on IEOs only and that's IEO from top exchanges and take your profits instantly

Obvious ? I think there are nothing obvious in the beginning, then it will become obvious once we know more about it later.
When we want to invest using our money, we will always have to take the risk, one of them is the risk to getting scammed.
We can't know for sure our investment will be profitable or not because there is always risk, what we can do is only reduce the risk by investing carefully with our research time and efforts.
