v0.16.5.2 Release

This release adds the bookmarking of Kevacoin namespaces. You can now add, edit, or remove namespaces from your bookmarks through the Kevacoin core GUI. Use the namespaces as IP addresses!

Other fixes:

1. Fixed a potential race condition during block syncing. This fix is a precaution as it is unlikely the race condition would happen.
2. Fixed namespace table view on macOS.

This release fixes Kevacoin core GUI crash when creating namespace or adding key/value pair with a locked wallet. It now prompts a passphrase dialog for the user to unlock the wallet before creating a namespace, adding key/value pairs, and deleting a key.

Android wallet v5.6.0 is available on Google Play Store. This release fixes performance and stability issues:

1. Incorrect fee estimation.
2. Added status text during the creation of a new transaction to help debugging in case of error.

This KIP describes the feature of Namespace Access Control (NAC) for Kevacoin key-value database. It allows the owner of a namespace to assign the write access to other users. It also provides the options to limit the write access to certain key patterns, i.e. the user can only create or write to keys that follow the given regular expression patterns. And finally, it allows the original owner of the namespace to revoke the access to the other users.

Kevacoin Mobile Wallet 5.7.2 Major Performance and Stability Improvement

Kevacoin Mobile Wallet v5.7.2 has been released on the Android Play Store.  It has been submitted to iOS app store for review and should be available in several days.

This release significantly improves the stability and performance of the app. The improvements include:

1. Detect the loss of network connection and try to reconnect.
2. Display the correct transaction amount on the final confirmation screen.
3. Correctly handle maximum balance transfer.
4. Add optional status toast to show refreshing progress. To enable it, on "Settings", "General", toggle on the switch "Show Refreshing Status".
5. Some UI improvements.

Update: iOS mobile wallet 5.7.4 has been approved and is live on Apple's iOS App Store!

- Reimplemented TCP connection with the server with better performance and stability.
- Fixed crash when the refreshing status is enabled and there is no network connection.

We are about to release 5.9.1 soon - this version will significantly reduce the data required from the server and make refreshing much faster. We would like to thank our users for giving us valuable feedback.

So far we have been working on stabilizing and optimizing the mobile wallets. Now we are at the point that we feel comfortable to start adding Keva-related features on the mobile wallet. You will start to see big UI changes to our mobile wallets.

By using Twitter, you put the security of your account in the hand of a private entity. This massive attack speaks for itself how secure Twitter is.

If Twitter/Micro-blogging is done on Kevacoin, users are in charge of their private keys, and so is completely in charge of the security of their accounts (namespaces). And, a 51% attack cannot tamper the messages, it can only rollback the messages.

We are working on a micro-blogging feature on Kevacoin this summer on our mobile wallets.

Network Security Upgrade

We have released a security patch and have notified the mining pools to upgrade their Kevacoin nodes. We will disclose the vulnerabilities once the security upgrade is activated. The vulnerabilities are not related to Kevacoin creation or transactions,  and your assets are safe.

There is a BIP9 upgrade currently underway. It is normal you see a warning like this:

This is an important security update that fixes namespace creation vulnerabilities. The fixes are implemented as a BIP9 soft fork and was activated since block 129600.
