Stick sgbett on ignore & stop letting him smear excrement all over El duderino_’s very generous game thread.
sgbett is a butthurt & or brainwashed OG who obviously sold too early or made mistakes along the way so he’s broke & he likes to smear bile & vitriol all over threads like this.

You have to some kind of special retard to be all in on BCH & or BSV.

Ignore him & don’t let him derail this thread.

Thanks

sgbett - don’t @ me

It is a saying... "once she (he) goes black, she (he) never comes back"! Smiley

However, I don't understand why sgbett, an idol of identity theft, took part in this BTC contest, an unreliable cryptocurrency in his opinion.

Nor I understand how he turned black how he turned from being bullish on BTC to this ridiculous position he has now. Let's remember some of his words from the beginning of this contest:

Not to mention I'm probably one of the most bullish on bitcoin that there ever has been, in earnest. I've been ridiculed for those outlandish future forecasts, just as much as I have for supposedly impossible dips at the risk of sounding like that guy, I've seen a few price moves in my time so I think I'm just able to comprehend its volatility more than some.

FWIW, I still think the 560k target is good, but things have gotten complicated with forks and stuff so it's probably gonna be another 5-10 years. Oh well, I've waited this long... on the bright side that means we are already over half way there!

Lol, this is the thread that keeps on giving... Y'all just can't help yourselves Smiley ....It's like watching a slow motion train wreck.

You guys really have no idea what is going on do you? Big o'l world outside of bitcoin talk....

I wonder if any of you understand what e.g this article means?

https://www.trustnodes.com/2020/02/14/lightning-network-increasingly-centralized-removing-hubs-leads-to-collapse-says-blockstream-study

Critically the use of the word (de)centralised in tho context of the network graph. Do you still not understand what decentralised means? it is about connectedness, and not about node count/distribution. Nobody read "On red balloons and bitcoin"? Nobody know what a near complete graph is...? why bitcoin was designed as a type of mandala network...? all this information, and more, is available for free!

All you have to do is be able to overcome your deep seated emotional biases and whip out Occam's razor... OR, keep slapping each other on the back... you guys have it all figured out, nothing to see here. Aussie man bad. Move along now....

Just for the record and let's keep all the drama to the side and focus on the facts: Are you stating BSV network is MORE decentralised than Bitcoin's LN?

Well now, let's see what "decentralised" means. I'll quote the words if a smart man (o_e_l_e_o), who quoted CSW in nullius' fabulous topic Project Anastasia:

What is he even talking about though?
Quote
This year I take charge and control of my system[5]. Those on the copied systems that are passing themselves off as bitcoin, BTC or CoreCoin and BCH or BCash are hereby put on notice.
"Take control"? If it's under an individual's control, then it's not decentralized, it's not bitcoin, and it's worthless.

I think it's clear what CSW understands from decentralization.

The Lightning Network is not decentralised. It's in the article I linked. I and countless other have been saying this since LN was first conceived. Now you have a study from Blockstream telling you the very same... what's the problem here? what's not to understand?

The Bitcoin network is decentralised, because economic incentives compel miners to connect directly with each other resulting in a network topography that resembles a complete graph.

This continue to be the case in BSV because those incentives have not been perverted by the introduction of schemes such as Liquid which are designed to move tx (and therefor miner rewards aka incentives) off chain.

Gazeta, linking that propaganda thread just tells me you've outsourced thinking about this stuff. GL with that.

I haven't read the link yet, but let's assume it it's all true and in context, that shouldn't stop developers from building.

Plus, as the stupid one in the forum, I can tell you, R&D on scaling protocols on top of Bitcoin is better than weather data, and giga-meg-blocks on the blockchain.

Gazeta, linking that propaganda thread just tells me you've outsourced thinking about this stuff. GL with that.

It's funny how many guys talk about de/centralisation as if it were a binary thing. LN is centralised and decentralised. Bitcoin is decentralised and centralised. What matters is the degree of each.

So you answered saying that LN is centralised. I reply to you saying it is decentralised. Both answers are correct.

But I asked you if you consider BSV to be more decentralised than LN. You did not directly answer that.

That being said. I do expect most high traffic payments sidechain to be more centralised than decentralised. Otherwise it would not scale enough for massive adoption to compete with paypal, visa, etc. Unless you do know some genius way to *SCALE* several orders of magnitude more using blockchain. If you do, maybe you should create your own new coin. It would be a blast.

I don't know why you talk about Liquid which is an EXTREMELY (not 100%, but almost) centralised sidechain. As intended.

Because there is an active game based on estimating the price leading upto the Bitcoin block halving (that has yet to occur).
This thread is for being to be able to discuss and speculate, which no doubt will be more popular nearer the end date on April 1st 2020.
Hope that helps explain things for you!

The list closed on January 10th according to the opening post. Maybe I've missed summat. A thread this well served is a fine opportunity for the same dreary people to spurt their dreariness all over it as is currently being ably demonstrated.

Great day, and we are back to $10,000 now, still more time and I think  another high for this year will be created with his possible new pump incoming.
There's still more than a month before the competition concluded, I think those who pick below $10,000 just have to give up now... lol.. kidding..

Tbf I think you're right. I started giving up on sub $10K a while ago, I just always have a hope that we'll correct significantly below, but not TA to back up that argument  Roll Eyes

The darkest hour is just before the dawn.   No I think the opposite really, we are out of the recent uptrend thats been in play this year, it is up today and thats a positive and its broken something of a recent negative trend to do that.  If it was correct to call this prior channel upwards (it was never perfectly formed) then we have also left it seems quite certain.
I said before this channel was way too aggressive and if it had continued it would have way over shot my estimated touch down area of around 11k but I still think we will end up there probably for reasons of volume.   Its the channel which buckled under the weight of so much thrust forwards, price is then going to be taking a rest.     So yep today was up but I think its confirmation of the break and to get a proper sell downwards we exhaust the buyers at this point.
I guess we'll see quite quickly how wrong or right that is, I'm not waiting for the weekly bar to resolve but daily we are touching the underside of that last aggressive channel and its coinciding with 10500 area just about.   That should be enough to form a ceiling and we push downwards from  there.   Just a near term observation, my guess is we go back to near 200 day average and so on maybe do some donuts and spin back to here later on.   Until it comes back across 9700 again its not really bearish, 10k is early warning

It's serving the general purpose of the forum though. Educating the newbies. Plus debates/arguments are a good way for exposing the trolls/fudsters/people spreading misinformation.

Keep them posting. Cool
