I often get messages on telegrams about this, and I already know if it's a scam. It doesn't make sense to withdraw but has to deposit a not small amount first, so when someone offers it to me then I will immediately block him because it is very annoying.
But not a few fake accounts used by scammers to get their victims to want to make a deposit to their scam website.

I've encountered similar act like this, but in this case, the medium is not telegram but facebook. Someone just add me and after I've viewed his profile, I've accepted him knowing that he is a fan of cryptocurrency, I could he, he post too much regarding mining and stuffs about crypto, but one time, when that person messaged me about investment, I already know his plan so what I've did I've asked him deeply based from my knowledge in mining and cryptocurrency. This is when I've found out that he's intention was just to scam people and his lack of knowledge about the fields proves it. What this mean is that, we, ourselves, should be responsible and knowledgeable about crypto so they cannot just put some words to trick us around and scam us.

They are using fake accounts in order to attract people's attention, this kind of scammers are well organized as they are aiming for victims who are aiming to get easy money, people who are not doing their research that why it's easier for scammers to invite them and tricked them to fall from this practiced of scammed offers.
By doing deeper research you'll be able to secure yourself not entertained such offers.

Not once, not twice, not even thrice! They've come to me on telegram, telling me one story or the other. Even as I speak right now, they still message me. I'll advice everyone to report and block such accounts. DO NOT TRUST ANYONE OVER THE INTERNET. IT'S A STUPID THING TO DO. A word is enough for the wise.
maybe that is very Harsh mate because there are some folks that trustable even in internet and also better say that "Dont talk to Strangers"because some people here in internet can be in time our Buddy and some can really be trusted.
What is important to not entertain those random account that will PM you and some are promising you to profit or even helping them to earn.
those are surely scammers and Report and block .

Lol if the team already knows him and his wallet, why didn’t he create another wallet? You can create many wallets and addresses as much as you want. There is no limit when it comes to creating addresses and wallet, so his approach is already dumb. And apart from that, if he knew such secret why didn’t he tell his family to do that and so he would help them win and they share the money or doesn’t he want his family to be rich?

Some of these scammers are just so stupid and only dumb people will fall for some of these their dumb tactics. I have even seen the new strategy that they all now use on YouTube and pretend to be celebrities while they are not lol Grin. They create YouTube channels and disable the comments.

Maybe, but for his luck there are enough stupid people to fall for his scam, he doesn't actually need to try to hard and be too smart. This is sad fact, but it's true. And there is no efficient way to stop such scamers and they always find their victims. Education and raising awareness among people it's the only way.

Lots of scams are being reported recently. Earlier this morning before I came on this forum, I saw a news the FBI has issued or a warning that people should be careful about cryptocurrency scams during this Covid-19 period. There are people who don't care about what others are going through, even some are out there robbing others due to this Coronavirus lockdown.

People have to be careful. Stop believing just anything you see online, before you invest in anything, be sure that you do proper verification so that you don't lose your money to these scammers.

Good thing that I don't use Telegram quite often but only when the times that I need to use that for DMs. There are many types of scams happening right now as of this pandemic.
There are people claiming to sell cure for COVID-19, while there are also people claiming donations from people. I recently read a thread previously in this board about COVID-19 scammers targeting crypto holders so careful with that.

That you are well poised to distinguish scammers on telegram doesn't mean everyone else is, I believe that why OP posted this so that even the new users can take caution.

Thanks for sharing this, there are only a few people who would want to share their experience and warn others.

That's why I never accept friend requests from people who I don't know in real life especially on social media using my real account. Scammers are everywhere and one thing that they are lacking about Crypto Currencies are knowledge, they only know the basic like sending and receiving or trading. The main weapon that we could use against them is our knowledge.

I very much hope that the time will come when the cryptocurrency will be legalized worldwide and any fraudulent actions will be prosecuted.  In general, in order to achieve this goal and to obtain a good result in the search for justice, each cryptocurrency user will need to identify himself and his cryptocurrency state.  But there are always pros and cons in our lives and we must set priorities ourselves.

When a cryptocurrency is legalized in a country, that is enough.

The problem here is that how could the government identify the criminal. That would be really hard since we all know that Bitcoin users are anonymous. That is the reason why we should be able to identify a scam on our own. My mutual friend has experience out of it and the police are not really interested on what she's reporting to them since they will not be able to track them without information to that individual.

Avoiding to be scammed on the crypto space is by the grace of God. Some projects will come out so real and end up duping individuals.
If countries legalise cryptocurrency, the scam might be reduced but will never be eliminated, when people are still scammed with banks, the scammers transfer money from one account to another and Banks have identity verification of customers yet people still loose their money.

That isn't anything new. Many people approach you on social media. If they say they want to make money with you to be very careful. The whole idea sounds silly. Why would the owner give a mod the power to make a bet win or lose? If they know his address he could just make another. Also the amount scammed is not that much. You would make much more just going straight and running a legit casino.

A guy by name "Allen Stanley" messaged me on telegram.
He said he wants us to make money together.

I told him to go on, he said he works with Betxloot.com,a crypto betting site.
An obvious red flag from a scammer on telegram, if these people has too good be true offers related to money on any social media website such fb, twitter especially to all messaging apps such telegram, be cautious, its 99% scam.

Thanks for sharing this btw.
A lot of people are contacting me in telegram. They always say that they have a good investment yet, I never believe even one of them. Many people specially the newbies are easily attracted to these scammers. They convey fastly in numbers and flowering words because they don't know the real in cryptocurrency.
Hopefully many people will learn more about cryptocurrency scam investment. So that, these scammers will be eradicated.
This isn't new, but yeah scammers on telegram are increasing day by day. If you are a newbie and doesn't know whats happening you are likely to scam. I remember even on trading exchange telegram there's also a lot of scammers. When you posted that you have a problem regarding their exchange there will be a lot of fake admin that it going to message you and will ask for your personal info, and if you get trick by that you are going to be scam. You should always be careful on telegram cause, there's a lot scammers there.

Talking telegram is home for the scammer is false, bitcoin there are a lot of projects and some group that gives a lot of profit for its user. Such as me who joined a signal channel for trading and it is free, I've been one month joined a group and have given a profit to me. In this case, you can increase your knowledge and learning something new to other people comparing you just learned with yourself.

I think it depends on your purpose or your knowledge of this field. You won't even fall to the scammers if you know that he is a scammers and you know the characteristic of scammers. In this forum, there are a lot of ways to prove a legit and a scam project and this is way, therefore you should read and learning it especially for newbies, it is so important to know it.

So everyone should be vigilant right now to protect themselves from those ill-minded people.

I also experienced a similar experience, suddenly someone sent a message to my telegram account. And suspicious i do not know him,
but he offered an investment of $ 200. Later in 7 days will get 100% profit, for me a reward it's too good to be true. So I did not respond
to him, the conclusions now are a lot on social media scammers try to commit fraud. So be careful not to be easily attracted to offers that
are too good to be true, that's a frequent method used by scammers.

That's just classic ponzi scheme from fraudster. There so many ponzi scheme in this forum and other platform too. If you see any sites/someone offering Earn ...% in ..... days just ignore it or open accusations about that's sites.

This experience is very interesting, although it is not a happy one. I'm curious though if you deposited that $ 100 that you didn't say.
Anyway, an ingenious way to fool people, but all of us, we have to start from the idea that nothing is free in this world and no one gives us anything without working. Whoever wants to do a 50/50 business chooses to do it with a friend of his, not with someone on the telegram.

The baseline, or, the majority of people in the world is Gullible, that's a reality we have to face. If they keep hearing about bitcoin but don't bother looking into it, and then someone offers them a effortless way to make it big with it, what they have heard is people becoming millionaires with it but don't know the mechanic behind it - they just think it's that easy. So they go ahead and get themselves in suboptimal situations. Looking it that way it's not so hard to believe how many people get scammed left and right. Not to say they aren't guilty at all but just giving some light on their thoughtprocess on the matter.

Now that scammers are doing more creative and serious for scams, what happened to the opening post. I experienced it several years ago,
I forgot what the name of the site was. But I still remember the deception method which is very similar. We really have to be careful if there
are offers that are too good to be true, because making money requires hard work. It is very suspicious if there is an offer that is very profitable
but without the need to do hard work.
