you are right, you can invest in altcoin and get something out of it easy. but the problem lies on choosing which alt. very few alts can give you a profit for long term investments. most of the alts are in the declining stage esp those without usage in crypto market and most of them are.
when it comes to bitcoin, the profit might not be big but you are sure that they will still be in the market. most alts die in few months. it's your call anyway when it comes to actual spending of your money.

Thank you for reminding. I accumulated it right when I saw the comparison of the percentage increase and decrease through the CMC site. I am not worried if at any time the price of altcoin will drop because altcoin follows the trend of how bitcoin has increased or decreased. The fundamentals of altcoins differ so much from each other, that it's very dangerous to put them under same investment umbrella. They aren't similar with each other.

It depends on what altcoin, as their price varies in bitcoin condition. However top altcoins were good to consider in long term as long as we will be able to invest in project that are actively involved in developing their product. Though altcoins these days are purged since the days were the scams were de-listed, its still not safe to invest any of these altcoins. If you have a thinking like this why you don't choose bitcoin only as your investment? You will have more comfortable when you use bitcoin as your investment place because you will be tormented when you choose an altcoin. Bitcoin price up then the altcoin price will goes up as well and it is otherwise when the price is going down.

And actually I'm really dissagree with what you say, have you see the event of IEO? give me the coin who launched their project through an IEO which still have a high price until this time or at lesst its presale price, I think there is no. The project IEO is really suitable to choose short term investment because you will be benefited to sell the coin when it being traded on the exchange.

Let's start thinking simply. You buy Bitcoin and Ethereum on ATH, and try to calculate your current loss. of course you lose a lot on the altcoin, for Bitcoin itself you lose about 50% when this post is written. In essence, the higher the profit generated, the higher the risk of loss. Agree with you that Altcoin will be more profitable if the altcoin market goes up. But currently the market is not for altcoins and there are many altcoin scams in this market, the opportunity for you to choose a good altcoin is very low. If you invest in altcoin scam, its price will quickly collapse and you will never get profit with it. Investing in Bitcoin can make you less profitable but you will be safe, always remember that in this market you should not be greedy.

As far as my understanding altcoins give much profit than Bitcoin, patience test is desperately needed in alts. That's the reason a lot of them prefer buying Bitcoin rather than altcoins, however one can make a good profit investing in altcoins. All we need to is just understand the structure of market.
