I agree that Darkcoin seems to offer an actual evolution of what made Bitcoin interesting in the first place, rather than some gimmick/meme marketing feature of what is otherwise essentially the same product as 200+ other coins.

alright, I am kinda on the forum, but I have been around.

Have you guys thought about what makes a coin that 'should be in exchanges'?
I just thought about that, and realize some coins are to be taken seriously, while Most arent.

to be, the list looks like this:

The Boss: Where he goes, we follow.
Bitcoin

The Mid Bosses: Where they are is hard-earned, don't expect too much more. (for now)
Litecoin
Dogecoin
Peercoin
Namecoin

The Try Hards: Potentials for outbreak. Depends on market's outlook.
Megacoin
Worldcoin
Feathercoin
Quark

I cannot take Ripple seriously, I mean who does.
Same with Primecoin, which I see extremely limited development, it is really there just because.
Mastercoin/NZT I also cannot take seriously, same as ripple.

While Aurora and Spain.. well, too soon?
SpainCoin doesn't even look legit to me, does it to anyone?

InfiniteCoin and Novacoin... well, it has a trading volume of a tea-spoon.
I think these two will disappear completely soon.
Bitshares (protoshares), this one has always been iffy to me.

Do you guys ingeneral agree with me?

you got one thing right.

Megacoin is to be taken VERY seriously.

Some coins like Vertcoin requires a pump to survive. Pump without development is just a waste of money.
Vertcoin just showed they got nothing left to prove. Dump it all.

BUY MEGACOIN.

Your forgetting blackcoin.

Blackcoin is an instamined gimmicky sponger!

As for good coin, i suggest to take a look at Myriad, NO premine, 5 indipendent algos that allow to mine it with whatever, asic, gpu and cpu.

i found this on reddit and i totally agree:

Quote
vert alienates asics and CPU miners but was innovate so took off. So what is going to happen with a coin that gives everyone an equal footing. This is what satoshi intended for bitcoin but could not predict the impact of asics and slowly this week the community is waking up to the fact.

I think it is bitcoin, litecoin, maybe peercoin and maybe namecoin and that will be it, world does not need any more coins unless there is a significant improvement. Though they always claim so and there never is.

How much restraint did you have to use to not list Dogecoin in The Boss category?

Recommended Exchanges: Binance.com | CelsiusNetwork
GPG ID: 4880D85C | 1% Escrow | 8% IPO/ICO Escrow services Temporarily Closed | Bitcointalk is the ONLY place where I use this name (No Skype/IRC/YIM/AIM/etc) | 13CsmTqGNwvFXb7tD9yFvJcEYCDTB8wQTS | Beware of these SCAM sites! | *Sponsored Link

1 billion plus to be BOSS !!

mid-boss are the established coins.

and the try hards are coins with pretty developers behind them.
I think I want to add Vertcoin behind them too after yesterday's move,
but in cryptsy, the orders are clearly placed by a bot... I didn't know there's a 'pump bot'. haha, is that new?

MazaCoin (MZC)

It's having a lot of difficulties with poor communication, but the lead developer is extremely dedicated. If it gets official, it's a first in cryptocurrency history (an admittedly short section of history).

I think the mid-boss probably won't go too high for now.. bad day for litecoins. Sad

on the next ride up, I think the try-hards might do better.. (really, just thinking out now, don't judge me pls)

I think I will give them 1-2 BTC each.. just to let you guys know later which one did best.
