I guess as boxing fans, we really need to wait, and for the boxers, keep themselves in top form until everything subsides. Of course, protect themselves at all cost because the spread in the US in uncontrollable at this point.
Well yeah, the spread is very fast, US from number 3 now already in the number 1 of the total people infected with the virus. This is killing the economy and as long as it stays we will be in lock down and no game would happen. Besides, it's not only boxing that was suspended, all games that would generate crowd.

There no other way to go but to have that complete lockdown.Yeah we do know on how much would affect the economy but we cant do anything but to stop the spread of this virus. Its uncontrollable and i was surprised that US is already on the top 1 in rank for those who have most infected. Games should be suspended yet these events would resume if everything goes back to normal but for now health or lives is priority first.

Looks like this match will probably be pushed back until August or September at the earliest.
Remember, practically every sporting event has been postponed, this means the stadiums and venues used for these events are going to be in high demand in a few months.
I don't think this fight is big enough to warrant paying top dollar for the venue.
June is what Sean Gibbons (MP Promotions president) might be the new date of this match but i think you are right, this might be pushed to August or September. He just might be too optimistic that this corona virus crisis will be over soon, that's why he promised an earlier date. Considering that this crisis would be over in April, venues would still be a problem? Boxing event in Las Vegas every weekend of June, that would be fun .

The thing is US can't even handle the spread of the virus, do they give some kind of ETA on when they'll be able to contain the virus? Until now there's no vaccine yet, it's the only thing that would stop the spread of the virus, so I doubt this will be over by April, unless they'll give some explanation to us on the details on how they'll stop the spread and keep the people safe so their life will be back to normal.

Initially people did not take this virus seriously and most of the people thought that this will be over by Mid April. This is now looking impossible as the corona-virus cases are increasing every day and we cannot be sure what is the Estimated resolution time for this virus to stop spreading. All Boxing event in Las Vegas are stopped for the indefinite time and i do not see any boxing event for another 6 months at least.

That's a good estimate, the virus is messing the place and without the cure, all they can do is to disinfect the area but what about people carrying the virus, maybe there are some advance technology like a camera that would detect if a person is having covid or not, but still that's is not safe considering the big number of people in the venue, they can't put the lives of the people at risk by opening it soon without the vaccine.

Would be great to see boxing every week at Vegas, LOL. Still boils down as how US are going to handle the COVID-19 pandemic, so for now I wouldn't expect a definite date for this fight. Again many sport events schedule are pretty messed up, so unless a vaccine is discovered, many boxing events are going to be extended. Yes, let's say that in the next 6 months or so, we might not see any boxing match.

Speaking of Casimero, he wanted to go home to Philippines with his family. However, he is afraid that he might get the virus in the US. I can't blame him though, he is away from his family and he just wanted to make sure that everything is ok down in the Philippines. On the other hand, he is torn leaving the US because he might be infected along the way. The 31-year-old Casimero, who resides in Ormoc, still wants to be with his family during this trying time. He informed the Philippines’ largest newspaper that in addition to safety concerns, travel restrictions and financial considerations have made flying from Las Vegas to Manila difficult.
“It’s just dangerous here in the U.S.,” Casimero said. “Many people have the virus and I might even be able to [interact with] a passenger with the virus on the plane. I really want to go home now because I haven’t been able to tell exactly when the fight is going to happen.” https://www.boxingscene.com/philippines-casimero-fears-leaving-las-vegas-during-covid-19-pandemic--148030

Hoping he will be allowed to go home and will freely be with His family specially in this Pandemic when we all need our love once on our side.

The best thing for him to do now is to stay put in the US, if he fear to get contaminated with the virus then he should stay indoors. If things gets worst in the US and he contacted the disease i think he can shrugged it off just like another punch that hit his body. He is young and a very healthy individual, he won't die from this virus.

No way. Everyone must follow the protocol no matter who's the person involved. Anyhow, there's a current PH travel restriction. It's for everyone's safety so set aside self purposes. Honestly, he is lucky that he can stay at his hotel, unlike seafarers that need to go home mandatory. They are the ones who will put on a hassle way before going back home since mandatory quarantine is required plus the worries that they don't want their family to be infected once they got home. I understand Casimero, who else doesn't want to be alongside with our family in the current situation, but if he truly loved his family, stay at the hotel until everything is controlled. We want to go back to our family not worrying we carry the virus. Casimero came from a hard training following a healthy lifestyle and strict diet so even let's say he has the virus (sorry but just an example), he is surely asymptomatic for several weeks or until the virus will just go unnoticeably as his body is capable to withstand it.

I don't understand what you do you mean by discrimination. No one is immune to the virus, so you can't put the discrimination card in the table here. Everyone should be tested, not by the colour of one's skin. Haven't you seen that US tops the world in virus cases? Hoping he will be allowed to go home and will freely be with His family specially in this Pandemic when we all need our love once on our side.
It's not that easy, he already made a lot of sacrifices here, he can go and talk to his families anytime he wants or even send them money if needed. But he risk everything if he try to attempt to go back in the Philippines. Worst case scenario is that he could be carrier for all we know and then transmit it to his families back home.

We have a ban for those who want to go home, people are sacrificing now so he should also by just not going home what his family needs right now is financial support and they can just talk online but this is not the best time to go home, I'm sure US authorities will also bar him from going home, the US now is the riskiest place to be.

Of course we don't we can't force them to fight when they are not safe and the fans as well. I cannot watch this game live but I'll sure get a PPV if there is one so I can enjoy it, but since it's been postponed, then let's get ourselves with other things. At home, we can't do much but we can spend more time with our family, and that's the beauty of this pandemic, though its bad but it could help the bond within the family. going back, hopefully this will happen soon and this virus will be contained soon, that's the only wish I have for now, for all of us.

However, US won't just simply allow him because of a travel ban. And I guess he is not the only athlete to be caught in this scenario. He is a warrior after all and I think he can survived. Yes, he can just stay in touch with his family in the Philippines and he should be the one calming them, not the other way around. Besides he is a healthy body and if ever he can get infected, chances are he is going to through to it. Consider this as a big mental test and he can pass it.

I'm sure his management will take care of his family in the Philippines, specially his boss, Manny Pacquiao. So he has nothing to worry about, he just need to still prepare because this is his biggest fight. Who knows, maybe in the next couple of weeks, this bad dreams will simply go away and everything will be back as normal as if this pandemic never happens.

Checking on the poll there are many of us here supports Casimero, it's so unfortunate that the fight might not push through but Casimero should stay in safe and always be on peak and get the right time to come back home if he gets the permission, the pandemic is on the rise we are on a peak although there are many breakthrough about vaccine.

He needs to be safe while waiting for the resume of this fight, no need to go out but keep conditioning himself inside his house wherever he's residing right now, the virus don't choose anyone so better to stay from where he is and keep every vitamins and supplements that he needed. It will take time before everything will be back to normal so make sure to stay safe from time to time.

Maybe because most of the Filipino boxing fans are very supportive of their compatriot, me included and the fact that most of those who voted in the poll are Filipinos, no doubt that Casimero won via landslide . The fight will push through, it's not cancelled just postponed. Both boxers just need to survive this pandemic and not succumbed to it.
