I wouldn't underestimate the Pats, or any team coached by Vrabel.  Maye also has the capability to elevate the offence with his aura alone.  I still think the Seahawks are the stronger team, but I don't think it's going to be a lop-sided game at all.  It's been quite some time since I logged into a gambling site so I don't know what the over/under is, but I also don't think either team is likely to put up more than 34 points.

I think the only one of us regulars who has a team to root for is Hueristic, so I'll root for the Pats so he and I can remain friends. 

Otherwise, I really don't care who wins.  I just want it to be a good game... with lots and lots of subliminal messages sprinkled in keeping me eating shitty food, buying pharmaceuticals to stay barely alive, so I can pay off the loan for the car I didn't need.  That's how I like my football.

I'd say that's pretty spot on but depending on a lot of outside variables I would not be surprised if it is a 3 point game.

Your bet has a better chance of winning than losing IMHO.

Me too... even Seahawks at -4.5 is a scary proposition. The only reason I'd be rooting for the Seahawks is if I make some kind of bet on them, and I most likely will. Probably some kind of individual player-based bet(s).

I have to wonder what causes the discrepancy between the sportsbook odds and Polymarket odds. Surely sharp sports bettors would have heard about it by now.

My buddy will score a big payday if the Seahawks win, so I guess I'm rooting for them.  The risk/reward isn't there for me to jump on that bet, so if I were going to place a bet it would have to be on the Pats to make it worth the win.  I can't really say I have a big interest either way.  I am still not sure if I will be watching the game or not.  I'm admittedly more interested in the commercials than the outcome.

The public line has since shifted to match the Polymarket data, with Seahawks at -4.5, at a slight odds disadvantage (-112 vs -108) on most books. I'm actually tempted to put in a bet on the 'Hawks at this number. I dunno... gonna be a great game I think no matter what.

Nah, nothing can save them. They are a trash fire. Although it will be fun to watch Cam Skatteboo play for at least some of next season.

Its hard to say of course. He was entertaining for the handful of games where he really shone like a superstar, but the whole time everyone was thinking "he's playing like he's gonna get injured," and then that's exactly what happened. So its hard to imagine him making it the whole season. 

Speaking of injuries, I kinda hope to hell Tua retires before next season. His cranium has been overly battered and the brain he has now will be like this or worse of the rest of his life, so he should just stop now... for the love of God.

@nutildah. Agreed on Tua. I am not quite certain why the Dolphins have been giving 100% of their trust on Tua after the concussions that have been witnessed on him. I was speculating that Mike McDaniels might bring change on the team and they will trade for another quarterback but it was headshaking that the Dolphins general manager trusted Tua.

In any case, on John Harbaugh, he might have a higher chance to the playoff if he was coaching the Dolphins hehehe. It is headshaking that he accepted the contract of the Giant.

Seahawks -5 (it pays just about even)
K. Walker >18 rushing attempts
S. Darnold >5 rushing yards

I know, I had a week to grab Seahawks at -4.5 but if they win by 5, I'm perfectly happy just getting my money back.

Was quite a wild ride this season... as good a level of football as I can remember it... and my best ever personal performance-wise. Will be very difficult to top.

Go Patriots, I’m fully backing the patriots to win this game, most individuals seems to be with the Seahawks but I’m a big fan of the Patriots both team have a young quarterback, the game is very entertaining, and the young players of the Patriots are going to come out victorious and I’m absolutely thrilled with their performance so far in this game, most people are underestimating the Patriots and underestimating young teams are obviously not a good way to support a game of this magnitude.

Good thing you didn't bet under 40 as the game ended up being 29-13. 1st half was insanely low but a couple tds in the 4th and all the sudden the over was looking possible.

Congrats to Seattle and their Dark Side defense. Tied for most sacks in superbowl history.

Obviously, with my bet on Seattle, anyway I believe the psychological factor is primary, and the defense was overwhelming in preventing Maye from making plays. I think the kid not only had the Super Bowl factor itself—which is the most relevant—but also everything that came with winning that game for the Patriots franchise: more titles and becoming the youngest quarterback to achieve it.(!?)

The Eagles were with a rating of 3.5% when I created the screenshot heheheh. I have bought some yes votes on them. We can be quite certain that the Eagles will be on 20% by week 10. I am not quite certain on the 49ers, however. They appear to have a worse record since they had Christian McCaffrey.
