Tomorrow I have the Eagles @ -5.5 and the Jags @ -9.5. I think the Browns QB situation is that bad; meanwhile Trevor Lawrence has been slightly better each year.

I think the most interesting game will be Monday night's Broncos/Chiefs matchup. On one hand its kinda hard to imagine the Chiefs as the favorite, given everything that happened last year, but the line is putting a lot of stock in Mahomes returning to true form, along with the homefield advantage.

I just don't see how the Eagles won't dominate the Commanders. I never really liked Jayden Daniels and the Commanders WR core is worse than last year. Eagles seem like the most solid pick to me.

Also, is Kyler Murray really what the Vikings need to be successful? Somehow I instinctively doubt it, though the Packers aren't much to write home about, and that game looks like a tossup.

On Kyler Murray. If he can stop playing the playstation and have discipline on his diet, he is certainly a much better quarterback than JJ McCarthy and the quarterback before this, Sam Darnold. However, he had a concussion. We might not know until a few weeks.

The New York Giants might have a shocking performance this season similar to the Knicks hehehehe.

Kyler did well tonight. I think he is a decent qb but folds under pressure and is small. I wish teams would stop drafting these short QBs that cannot see over the line.

Pretty obvious what my strategy was but for BBC's sake I'll spell it out.

I noticed the last few years since I've been doing well the first week that getting the last waiver has been pretty detrimental so I decided to take a loss week one and get a good waiver and that would also allow me to have two more bench spots to evaluate more players.

Will it work out?

Fucked if I know, there really isn't any standouts on the wire I would really like this week unlike most years.

First rounds are always "strange" and full of surprises. I think Dallas (Dak) will play much better but their defense has not improved much since the last season. Giants were able to do whatever they wanted on run and pass.

I still can't get over the Packers loss - that was a full blown meltdown.
And how about Lions and their last quarter? I am so not used to seeing Dan Campbells teams crumble and fall that hard (but it's been known to happen as I believe their prime is passed). Although always good to have Amon Ra in my fantasy team.

Scrolling a bit through this thread I see you guys only talking about NFL. Anybody watching NCAA football as well? This weekend was crazy!
Especially 2 games stood out for me. The HUGE upset by Oklahoma state vs Oregon was insane! Oregin was a 3 touchdown favorite. When those team met a year ago Oregon was 69:3 (!!) and then this happened:

The other game was Texas vs the No 1 team in the nation Ohio state. OSU was up 23:3 after 3 quarters, and then the comeback happened. So many 4th downs or also big 3rd downs and Texas converted them all. Many say that's already the game of the year, this early in the season.

It appears that I was mistaken on Patrick Mahomes. He was using his knees and made a touchdown himself. He appears to be 100% for this game heeheheheh.

It's football season, I watch it all man. From Thursday to Monday there is normally at least 1 game on for 16 weeks or so.

The Oregon game was insane. They were behind nearly the whole game. The thing about college football is you don't really know who is good these days til a few games into the season. The transfer portal and NIL make it really easy for a shit team 1 year to be contenders the next.

I bet Texas to beat Ohio state so I wasn't shocked that they won, but it wasn't an easy win. Manning will be the #1 draft pick in next years NFL draft.

Thank God the Vikings won. Murray got injured early on and they put in Wentz, who appears to be the superior QB for now. For some reason I'd picked them in the Sleeper league - if they hadn't I'd be at 7-8 right now. Will probably end at 8-8. But its time to learn from my mistakes, instead of slapping myself.

Yeah Texas was even the favorite to win (by a tiny margin) but the way they played over 3 quarters this was a crazy end result. I mean so many possessions where if they don't get the first down now it's basically over, and they always delivered. Really fun to watch.

Well these results happen in non conference play at the beginning of the season. When ranked teams meet each other this won't happen though. Obviously those total blowouts aren't really fun, unless you are a fan of the team that wins.

I was gonna say if you're playing me it's better to use less player. I need the handicap lol. I did go take a look though and looks like everyone has a kicker n def, so who are we referring to here?

I think he means the strategy of drafting additional FLEX players rather than a DEF and K.

I can see where he's coming from as those 2 positions can be pretty interchangeable week to week. Still, to not put up a full fight? I suppose it'd be worth it if you really, really wanted to have some extra depth in your RBs or WRs... like if you had a deep pick in mind that may get snagged. Terrible ass opening week for both of us either way LOL.

Yeah no i didn't draft them and wanted to evaluate week one a few deeper picks fro m the draft so figured i'd take the loss week one and with the added bonus of getting a good waiver pick.

I think the worst is that ti ended up dumping all three QB's I drafted so the extra QB I drafted didn't help at all.

It is a good plan if you assessed it correctly hehehe and it can be argued that kickers and defense are the most speculatory positions in fantasy football.

In any case, another bad news for my team. DJ Moore is questionable and he cannot return to the game. I reckon that he will not be playing for 3-4 weeks. However, the extra flex slot is easier for rotating players without depending on the waiver wire.

Also, a prediction. Everyone will be speculating that Josh Allen will be MVP for this season, however, by week 15 everyone might witness that this will be the Patrick Mahome!

That game started out very ugly for the Lions but they did battle back a little in the 2nd half. Made it almost a game, but the Bills offense just stayed tough. I still think the Lions make the playoffs but they gotta stop fumbling the ball.
