The Shadow Project has:

- Cryptonote implementation on a pos bitcoin fork, and utilizing a token system where coins can switch between and anonymous and transparent state, the only one like it.
      - The first coin to open-source a stealth address system, which many others have since taken advantage of.
- One of the nicest wallets in the industry, which makes use of HTML.
- Encrypted messaging in wallet
- A very large and very active Dev-team, with both full and part-time members
- Solid distribution

And also in development is:
- HD wallet
- Mobile wallet with anon send
- A decentralized p2p marketplace

It is one of the best and most underrated projects in cryptography, and it clearly deserves to be added.

I would never consider trading there. Actually, there are two major issues:
=> lack of an SSL certificate can get you robbed in no time 
=> supports only login with a facebook account, therefore your privacy and security are words without meaning 

BTC38 is a big NO-NO!
