Indeed Marco protocol had an airdrop, I didn't participate when I heard they were going to have a conversation ratio, I abandoned the airdrop. But coming to say they are going to sell bitcoin for 50% its price is catastrophic and a quick way to scam the community. I hope people don't fall for this.
There’s no such discounts when it comes to bitcoin and I hope that people will see this as a suspicious offer, its just like give 1ETH and it will become double. Newbies should not bite this one, its risky and doesn’t guarantee a good profit in return, you have to be very careful on buying bitcoin, and in history there’s no offer like this before.

Well, there is no reason to be fed up in this space. That is why we are been told to be in charge of our destinies, by keeping our wallet safe. By doing our research and be ensuring that we make the right decisions all the time.
Newbies cannot take the blame, they believe anything instantly.

I'm not even sure if there are any other worthy projects among the airdrops. I don't think your story is surprising, since there are actually a lot of scammers among them in most cases.

In general, you are right. Good airdrops are mostly only from exchanges. But, of course, not always. But at least there is more trust in them, because the exchanges enjoy authority.

But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$!
For a new project I think they needed the boost and strategy to gain more followers or users. I think it could be scam or hype but Binance too, offered a 50% of buying btc in relation to their event. Just because its Binance who made that kind of same event it is legit? Then this one does this too now its scam? No bias opinion here but, you should be fair since the project just started give them some loose rope for a moment.

Scammer is every where. But you are smart enough that you marked that it is scam.but there is nothing to do those newbies who interested to buy btc in half price. They need minimum knowledge that how can people sell in half price even if he try he can sell double in exchanger.Newbies are greedy that's why they scammed.
maybe we put into some instances that they are greedy and hungry for easy money return and fall into a scammer but the real thing is that they'll never think that they could be scammed. I believe they have knowledge about the market but literally, they don't know how scam will work for them and been a victim of this kind of play. It was so sad that the most scammed victims are newbies and I hope they learn from that bad experience.

This is most likely a ponzi scheme or outright scam because there's no way to get that great a discount off purchases of Bitcoin during a period of increasing demand due to events like the upcoming halving and safe haven media attention so if it's too good to be true it probably is

Something that sounds too good to be truth should be avoided! I really do not see the company having anough capital to cover the difference if such transactions and to me it is too risky for one to involve in such risky transactions especially the one you know it is purely scams. But you know people are going to fall for this.

Last week, I found an airdrop project in Telegram called Marco Protocol, the airdrop looked decent at the first stage, I earned 200 MAPC tokens and that was instant! But you only can withdraw from your MAP wallet when Airdrop program will end, that's good, I am okay with it. Their airdrop tweet got 8K retweet and 9K likes, so, you can understand how hype it had! But yesterday, they announced they are going to sell Bitcoin at a 50% discount to celebrate the halving. Can you imagine? 1 Bitcoin price is 8600 USD, people can buy by 4300$! I believe This is absolutely scam but many newbies already have fallen for that! As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too. 50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87That's the reason everyone in crypto should be as educative to newbies as possible. There are plenty scammers irl fooling people on fiat money. But we can't know it so we think everything is ok. What is good about crypto in the first place - its pretty clear if something bad happening we all can see it

No single person is going to fall for that trick, belief me, if I were you, once they bring this up I won't bother with such project again, it's likely to be 100% scam
It's easy to think nobody would fall for such a cheap scam, but the truth is that, common sense is not common. There are several persons in this space who would see it as once in a lifetime opportunity to get bitcoin at a cheaper price, not knowing that it's an obvious scam. I only do hope that people get to know the intricacies of this industry before loosing all their funds to rippers.

There are thousands of such airdrops now and scammers understand that newbies still believe in easy money on airdrops and therefore such people conduct scam airdrops or, as you wrote, a lot of scammers making some promotions where you can buy popular cryptocurrencies at low prices and of course you will not get nothing.

Yeah, the scammers are bad but the newbies who fall for it are even worse because they are the ones that causes scammers to continue. Think about it, if you are a one (scammer) and you think you can steal from people and get away with it, why would you stop?
You are both getting free money for low level of work and you are also not getting caught or not even punished for it, of course you will continue being a scammer. We need to inform newbies better to not fall for these guys so that scammers would eventually stop when they do not make any money at all. Newbies are really the root of the problem, and that will probably be the solution as well, you solve the issue at the start and you do not allow it to grow, that's how we end this.

This is a very big scam and I hope there won't be many people who will fall victim of this cheap scam, I am sure even satoshi won't offer such huge discount to the public, Am sorry for the newbies who has already turn a victim to this very cheap scam.

As they saw MAPC has huge support in twitter, and they listed on CMC too. 50% off announcement: https://t.me/MAP_POB_channel/87This is the disadvantage of airdrop, the scammer can easily create a project and hype it via airdrop then after that they will proceed to their plan like the one you have stated that they have 50% discount to celebrate the incoming halving. Newbies who are greedy will likely to fall to this kind of scheme especially if they have the money to buy as they are thinking that they can earn a huge amount of profit in this situation. But what they don't know is that they are being played by the scammers and their hard earned money is in danger. There are no easy way to tell the newbies that they should avoid it as we cannot control their decision, so let's just hope that those people who fall to the hand of the scammers will learned their lessons and they will avoid any type of scam attempt in the future.

I can't recommend to any single one to trust this halving rewards. But my expectation is for visit phishing website because you have got very wrong information. Please help me to find right information. This is indeed a total scamming and I will suggest you stay away from such offers. Go for legit projects which are not offering free money and coin in large quantity. Moreover, try to stick to those projects that are enlisted on trusted exchanges. These are the ones which really have the potential of giving profits. People who don't have knowledge should be very careful with projects they are choosing, that's why should always research before investing in any projects. Potential projects are always good to invest because their coins are already listed on potential exchanges.

You can visit service section on this forum and you will buy 8K retweet`s and 9K likes, just like that. Hype can be real, but it can also be fake. Don't believe in everything you see online. This is clearly a scam. Who would sell Bitcoin at this moment with 50% discount? They tricked people with airdrop, and we here know how easily you can make a token or a coin. After first trick they come up with some kind of offer, anything just you to give them some money. Stay away from this.

If viewed from the promotion, Bitcoin provided is only 6btc. But if you have received an airdrop token and are in doubt with the promotion, it is better not to follow and wait for the token to be traded on the exchanger

The ponzi scheme is strictly prohibited in this forum, because it is very detrimental, and if we review the purchase of bitcoin with a large bonus, that is not logical, because bitcoin is a very valuable coin and will be very profitable if the bonus is large.

Agree, it's better to avoid this promotion scheme because it looks like a ponzi scheme. They attract new investors by giving a certain amount of airdrops and hope that some airdrop participants will participate in the program they hold and intend to deceive their investors.
