Nah, we didn't. We had an old signature campaign rule we forgot to remove from the thread so OP was banned for 2 weeks and our threads locked. It sucks.

Maybe daily bump or having that giveaway post that shouldnt really be posted there? It should be clarified.Its odd that they didnt follow their protocol on unlocking it after 14 days.

@BoXXoB it’s hard to believe that the old thread is not coming back as we had so many good memories stored in there, and as far as that rule is concerned it was never really enforced on us (signature participants). I’m glad this Ann is back because this Ann is more like a second home for us (BoXXoB, slaman29, milewilda, jossiel and others), and I can’t wait to discuss about HDF and others with you guys.

I am entirely sure the admins or at least theymos would be understanding if you just plea with them. You do not have to enforce a rule but if there is a rule that is against the rules of the forum that would be seen as grounds to lock the topic and I can totally understand that but if you do not enforce the rule and you just promise them that you will remove that rule, I am pretty sure theymos would understand and unlock it.

You guys have worked so hard for that topic and I can see how it could be hurtful for the business to not have that topic that was 200+ pages long and proved that you have been around for a long enough time to actually seen as an old timer that we all trust, this new one could be decent too but it just lacks years of discussion we have already poured into it.

Oh ok, so that is the reason why your old thread was locked.

I used to visit that old thread, seeing "Bitdice whales" playing there as if money is not at thing with them,  Lol, after-all that's why they are called whales.

Campaign has been running for many years, Theymos not giving Bitdice some slack and re-open the old thread though? Just curious.

You can always go check the thread even if it's locked. I never have the chance to be part of the project and it seems good. Op should have check everything that would have been good to know and won't violate any and it would not happen in the first place but what choice the op have.

Wow, that's very harsh! I think the old thread should get reactivated since breaking the rule was clearly an accident and did not even lead to major consequences of bumping the thread, right? Bitdice is a famous casino, I was also very surprised to see a new thread created by an old casino. However, perhaps this thread will attract more attention because of being fresh, and it's also a chance to try something new in it. I am sure that you'll get a lot of discussions here as well, so it might be a good new page in the life of Bitdice on Bitcointalk. I do hope that you'll be able to unlock the thread if you decide to...

Fresh start for bitdice.  Anyway, the OP already put the old link so everyone can read it if they need a reference. Because some important questions were already answered again and again. Those who are new in the forum will later on learn that this is an old one so no worries about getting the old locked. But yeah, getting locked in unfair manner gives undesirable feeling to those responsible for this inconsiderate action.

I think you should state the reason and plea this case on Meta board, at least hear the side of your story to open it again or you may PM one of the mods assigned here on Gambling board. If it has never been enforced then there's really a chance the thread will be unlocked just take one or both of my suggestion above. Mods has rules to be followed but they'll surely understand if one of you approach for revival of it rather letting it slip or making a new thread.

I don't think they would have created a new thread without trying whatever you suggested earlier. They probably tried contacting them and the mods might have informed them that they cannot resolve this issue for them due to which they went to the trouble of creating a new thread instead.

The issue is that nobody has replied to us at all. Haven't tried META board yet though.

I think you have to or else that thread will be gone for good. There are mods and even admin that are active in dealing with users cases there and pleading there might be the best idea since they are not responding to your messages. Good luck with your plea and hopefully they'll unlock it.

Agree, probably there will be better response once he create a topic at meta board. It will be also a good discussion for all project that has ANN thread in this forum IMO. It can be a suggestion as well for the mods to give a reason for locking a thread (especially an ANN thread) to the OP of any ANN thread that is locked by mods.

Nice to see the board again  . Yeah, I would agree that a thread in Meta should be a good start, I mean just to get the reasons why after so many years, the old thread was suddenly shutdown since it has been running for many years and Theymos not restoring it.
