Any plans to get listed on more exchanges?  The current exchanges don't have a lot of volume, and or use fake data to make them seem like they do.  Also would be nice if you guys would release a Nvidia Miner that supported windows.  TT-Miner works, but hasn't been updated in months.

Well we added VinDAX which is non KYC for 2BTC per 24 hours, and they do not appear running bots - https://vindax.com/exchange-base.html?symbol=EPIC_BTC .
The thing about low volume is everyone is accumulating, so legitimate low sell offers get snapped up fast.
For example BiHODL runs their stupid bots and shows transactions for less than half of what people actually sell.
More miners coming online check the Telegram channels, including the guys at Rager.lol working on a Epic/Monero miner.
Devs are busy with GUI and next gen stuff so work on miners is going through community volunteers and other miners integrating Epic Cash co-mining functionality.
Good news is everyone is staying calm and healthy - wishing that for everyone out there

EPIC has a lot of potential.  I have mined it since mainnet.  Their launch was totally fair and very technically smooth.  I have been very impressed with the technology and the people behind the technology and also those out in front publicly in Twitter, Youtube and other social media.

They need community support like any other emerging blockchain project.  Mining and posts like this are about the best I can do.  I am doing what I can do to see about potential listing on TradeOgre and I'll post more info if I get anywhere with that.

First off, we have a lot of respect for Monero and other privacy coins, we learned a lot from what they did right and what they did wrong, Our blockchain is much lighter than Monero or Bitcoin, our transaction engine is faster than Monero or ZCash. We use a three mining algo approach to allow more users the ability to obtain Epic Cash. We are a new, highly undervalued, coin and we look great not only for future use but for today's investment.
Our blockchain is 90+% smaller than Monero or Bitcoin. Coins such as Zcash have optional privacy. Epic makes all transactions private, and it is impossible to trace movements of coins by watching wallet addresses.

First of all, we have tremendous respect for all Mimblewimble currencies and their talented teams, they all taught us a lot and we are thankful for that. Without sounding too contentious, the choice seems obvious. We offer the same core tech, but with a much more responsible emission curve — Grin is an endless fountain of emission and inflation (60 per second forever), and Beam is even more frontloaded outpacing even Grin’s aggressive emission schedule for the next several years… We respect Grin and Beam, we learned from them, and we believe we are the next evolutionary step. Additionally, as we mentioned earlier, we offer more ways to mine Epic Cash, both with GPU and CPU and ASICs, this gives us more potential users and miners, vs Grin and Beam that are only mineable with GPUs.

6. What is the advantage of 3 mining algorithms?

By having multiple mining algorithms we are able to attract CPU, GPU, and ASIC miners simultaneously. Currently all other Mimblewimble currencies are mineable with GPU only ignoring a large segment of CPU miners. Monero made a splash migrating to the RandomX CPU mining algo. Epic Cash from the beginning embraces all mining communities. Many miners are successfully using older hardware such as Xeon processors to help secure the network. We use RandomX for CPU, ProgPow for GPU, and Cuckoo for ASIC.

Longer term, our flexible architecture means we can have many algorithms, not just 3. Our roadmap includes an allocation for SHA3 Keccak, which will help further decentralize the network and keep it unstoppable.

We believe there is not enough privacy, anonymity and fungibility, although there is a growing awareness in the community as to why these are necessary. People are waking up to the fact that privacy is a right for everyone but today it is being exploited and violated by corporations, governments and unscrupulous individuals. Privacy does not mean that you have something to hide. We have doors on our houses, curtains on our windows, we wear clothes, and we have security on our bank accounts and businesses, not because we are criminals.

Fungibility (the property of not being able to distinguish one unit of currency from another) also has become a hot issue as people have started to get in trouble because of someone else’s misdeeds. Tainted money (coins that are blacklisted or restricted) is a problem for Bitcoin and Ethereum, the top two cryptos today. Mimblewimble eliminates the risk of tainted coins making them indistinguishable from each other. With traceable coins, you always have to worry if the coins you are getting were involved in a hack, or perhaps the darknet.

First and foremost, we are focused on security and usability.

We are working on a new, improved GUI wallet to incorporate the community feedback on ways to improve it.

We are in the process of completing final testing phases for the next iteration of Epic Cash which will make it more secure and stable. Once that is done, we will be rolling out Android and iOS support to make Epic Cash usable on leading smartphones and smartwatches. Beyond that without going into too much detail we are focused on continuous evolution of privacy, ease of mining, and overall speed and usability.

And of course we are constantly looking to add more exchanges both with and without KYC.

We went with RandomX because it is a solid and very popular CPU centric algo used by several coins — most recently Monero. Most miners today heavily favor ASICs or GPUs, leaving a lot of solid high end users in the dust unable to mine emerging cryptos. As far as ProgPow, again its an established algo for GPU miners, and thanks to many cryptos starting with Bitcoin/Monero/Ether/ etc there is no shortage of GPU rigs out there plus again the casual user with a video gaming caliber card can get in on the action.

EPIC has a lot of potential.  I have mined it since mainnet.  Their launch was totally fair and very technically smooth.  I have been very impressed with the technology and the people behind the technology and also those out in front publicly in Twitter, Youtube and other social media.

They need community support like any other emerging blockchain project.  Mining and posts like this are about the best I can do.  I am doing what I can do to see about potential listing on TradeOgre and I'll post more info if I get anywhere with that.

The first thing that caught my eye about EPIC was the implementation of MimbleWimble and how it's mined.  3 mining algorithms and an intelligent distribution model.  Aimed at decentralization by focusing on difficult CPU mining followed by a lesser share for GPUs and even lesser share for ASICs with all of this flexible for future mining and network operations.  It is truly brilliant.

This is a better money than any I've seen and they deserve support.

Get into telegram and communicate.  They also have a discord/telegram bridge setup.

The reason for the warning is because of xmrig, variants of xmrig are used in various trojans to mine Monero  has nothing to do with 51pool
So Firefox and Chrome will tag it as unsafe.

To what people, in what language? Why are we pointing inward at the people who are already here instead outward at the world that isn’t with us yet? Everyone is their own raindrop making their own splash and their own waves…

First, how do we all see things differently?
Imagine a rock. When you look at it you see some of its uses based on who you are. Maybe you use it to hammer in nails, maybe you use it and many others like it to build a fireplace, or a fence, our a house, maybe you place it in wavy sand and meditate about it, or maybe you throw it through a window or at someone’s head. The choice is yours. Imagine when someone says, here is a rock and it can only be used to hammer in nails… That’s it, just nails. How does this make you feel? What if you had to explain what to do with a rock to someone who never seen it? Do you think they will find it more useful if you just tell them about nails, or other uses based on your real experiences?

Who are we?
We are many people, with many voices, we speak many languages across the entire world. To each one of us Epic Cash means something different, because of our culture, our education, our system of beliefs, our socioeconomic status, our education and so on. People are better conveying a message they understand and one they believe in, instead of repeating something that someone else pushed on them.

What about a central message?
The power of Epic Cash is not in some concise tag line in one language that one person came up with. Epic Cash is like a dandelion, a collection of florets bound in their uniformity by the Mimblewimble algorithm, blown across the Internet by the winds of necessity and enlightened self-interest, but that’s where the similarity ends — every floret is unique in shape and purpose. Even with the choice of three mining algorithms we are all inclusive to CPU, GPU and even ASIC miners. Similar but unique!

Don’t we have objective specs?
We have a set of data points that can help you explain better, things like Responsible Emission, Fungibility, Privacy, Security, Value, Unstoppable crypto without borders, etc… But to breathe life into those specs, You need to put them into context that You understand for yourself so You can explain it to others. This is why there is no such thing as too many Epic Cash videos on various topics — because every new video or piece of content has a chance to reach new audience in terms of understanding. Even reaching the same people but with a differently tailored message may finally achieve understanding. Honesty is key, and it has to be what you believe in.

What is it all about anyway?
We are not a pump and dump moonshot; we are aiming to be the first privacy crypto to hit Top Five. Its easy to pump a crypto, but then it breaks and comes down and then the pump and dump crowd moves to the next project to make noise and a quick buck — that’s not Epic Cash. We are not building a product, we are building a platform, a layer inside the global environment. The value will come gradually with our growth and because the growth is real, the value will not be breakable. That said, we are not saying that you will have to wait for years, like some cryptos, to realize your gains. Cryptos that tell you to shut up and HODL while their devs are dumping quietly are not long for the world. The value of Epic Cash will increase with the level of its spread and in this everyone will have a chance to contribute.

Why did you come to Epic Cash?
If you came here to change and re-shape it, please don’t! People who are already in the project are here for their own reasons, do not try to impose your vision to change them. Instead, the only thing that matters is to carry Your Own Vision of Epic Cash into the World. Because you can easier explain what you really believe to others than what someone told you to memorize and explain. People have more power than they realize, partially because of laziness, fear or stupidity. This is not to say they are stupid, but those self-imposed limitations are the prisons of their own minds.

So how can you help yourself and us?
Anyone can create content, in their own words, and in their own language, and reach millions of people! Even explaining why, they are here in the Epic Cash project is content that may resonate with some of their friend and family, even without the Internet. Anyone can support content in Social Media — Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram, Facebook, Bitcointalk, and so on and so on. I am against shilling, but for educating — we are not selling crap, we are not selling a product, we are offering an idea and a method that we believe in. Do not speak in slogans, tell people how you really feel about Epic Cash and why You think its interesting and important from Your point of view.

Who the hell is this opinionated author?
I am just a part of the project, I have decades of marketing, business development, and branding experience, and I know this movement is unstoppable if everyone does their part in their own way. My words are not gospel, they are merely my words that may resonate with some of you. I am not trying to force your way of thinking to my own, but to unlock and free your own thinking. We are like a tidal wave spreading across the entire world, anyone can benefit from us and no one can stop us. Be careful depositing to the BiHODL exchange. I sent a deposit over around $10 worth of RVN over to try and pick up some EPIC and it has just stated that the deposit is in "Reviewing" for a few days now. They use BTC/Epic pair and their volume in Ethereum is meager so transferring ETH to buy BTC and then Epic is a pain in the ass - you lose time and money   thats why its easier to just transfer Bitcoin.

Q2: Can you briefly describe what is Epic Cash in 3–5 sentences? What technology stands behind Epic Cash and why it’s better than the existing one?

I’d like to highlight the differences between Epic and the two highest-valued privacy coin projects, Monero and Zcash. XMR has always-on privacy like Epic does, but at a cost: Its blockchain is over 20x more data intensive than Epic, which limits its possibilities for scalability. Epic’s blockchain is small and light enough to run a full node on cell phones, something that is in our product road map. ZEC by comparison can’t run on low end devices because of its zero knowledge based approach, and only 1% of transactions are fully private. Epic is simply newer, more advanced technology than prior networks thanks to Mimblewimble
We will also add more algorithms to widen the range of hardware that can participate in mining. For example, cell phones and tablets based around ARM chips. Millions of people can mine Epic that can’t mine Bitcoin, and that will help grow the network rapidly.

Well we all have our views, but in a nutshell, we offer things that were missing in the previous cryptos. We have sound fiscal emission schedule matching Bitcoin, but we are vastly more private and faster. Our blockchain is lighter than Bitcoin or Monero and our tech is more scalable. Also, we are unique in that we are mineable with CPUs and GPUs as well as ASICs, giving the broadest population the ability to mine Epic Cash. Plus, you can’t forget FUNGIBILITY 🙂 we are big on that — since you can’t have true privacy without fungibility.
Also, please understand, we have HUGE respect to all the cryptos that came before us, we learned a lot from them, and thanks to their mistakes we evolved.

To add on, what also makes Epic Cash unique is the ability to decentralize the mining using a tri-algo model of Random X (CPU), Progpow (GPU), and Cuckoo (ASIC) for an ability to do hybrid mining. I believe this is an issue we can see today in Bitcoin having centralized mining and the average user has a costly barrier of entry.
To follow up on this one in my opinion one of the things we adopted that we have seen success for , in example Bitcoin and Monero, is a strong community driven coin. I believe having a community driven coin will provide a more organic atmosphere especially when starting with No ICO, or Premine with a fair distribution model for everyone.

The economics of mining Epic are extremely compelling for countries that have free or extremely cheap electricity, since anyone with an ordinary PC can mine. Individual people around the world can simply run the miner and earn meaningful money (imagine Venezuela for example), something that has not been possible since the very early days of Bitcoin.

The block selection is deterministic, so that every 100 blocks, 60% are for RandomX (CPU), 38% for ProgPow (GPU), and 2% for Cuckoo (ASIC) — the policy is flexible so that we can have as many algorithms with any percentages we want. The goal is to make the most decentralized and resilient network possible, and with that in mind we are excited to work on enabling tablets and cell phones to mine, since that opens it up to millions of people that otherwise can’t take part.

To Run a project smoothly, Funding is very important, From where does the Funding/revenue come from?

Yes, early on this was realized and in order to scale a project funds are indeed needed. Epic Cash did not start with any funding and no ICO and was organically genesis mined with no pre-mine. Epic cash is also a nonprofit community driven project similar to Monero. There is no profit-driven entity in the picture. To overcome the revenue issue Epic Cash setup a development fund tax that decreases 1% every year until 2028 when Epic Cash reaches singularity with Bitcoin emissions. Currently it is at 7.77%. This will help support the scaling of the project.

First, I must admit that I am still a huge fan and HODLer of Monero. That said:
✅ our blockchain is MUCH lighter than Monero’s
✅ our transaction processing speed is much faster
✅ our address-less blockchain is more private

1. This is one of the most exciting features of Mimblewimble, which is its extraordinary ability to compress blockchain data. In Bitcoin, the entire history of a coin must be replayed every time it is spent, and comprehensive details are permanently stored in the blockchain. Until today we can witness how the Bitcoin is being adopted institutionally and by retail. We match the 21 million BTC supply economics because it is an inelastic fixed model which makes the long-term economics very sound. To have an elastic model of burning tokens or printing tokens will not have a solid economic future. Take for example the USD which is an inflating supply. In terms of competitors we look at everyone in crypto with respect and also learn from everyone. If we had to compare to other Mimblewimble tech coins, Grin is an inelastic forever inflating supply which in the long term is not sound economics. Without a company or investors in the picture, and having raised no funds, there is little scope to attack in terms of securities laws. Bitcoin and Ethereum are widely acknowledged as acceptable, and we follow in their well-established footprints in that respect. Centralized exchanges already trade other privacy coins, so we don’t see this as much of an issue either. Because our blockchain is so light (only 1.16gb currently, and grows very slowly) it is naturally well suited to become a decentralized mobile money standard because people can run a full node on their phone, guaranteeing the security of their funds. Scalability in Bitcoin requires complicated and compromised workarounds such as Lightning Network and light clients, and these problems are solved in Epic.

With our forthcoming Mobile Mining app, hundreds of millions of cell phones and tablets will be able to easily join the network. People can quickly and cheaply send money to one another, fulfilling the long-envisioned promise of P2P electronic cash.
As an investor, it’s important to ask a few key questions. Bitcoin Standard tokenomics of disinflation and a fixed supply are well proven over a decade now. RandomX and ProgPow are designed to use the entirety of a CPU / GPU’s unique processing capabilities in a way that other types of hardware don’t work as well. You can run RandomX on a GPU but it doesn’t work nearly as well as a much cheaper CPU, for example. Cuckoo is a “memory hard” algorithm that widens the range of companies that can produce the hardware.
Grin and Beam are great projects and we’ve learned a lot from them. We inherited our first codebase from Grin’s excellent Rust design, which is a better language for community participation than C++ that Beam currently uses.
Functionally, Mimblewimble is similar across the 3 coins, with standard Confidential Transactions, CoinJoin, Dandelion++, Schnorr Signatures and other advanced features. Grin is primarily ASIC-targeted, Beam is GPU-targeted, and Epic is multi-hardware.
The biggest differences though are in tokenomics and project structure. Grin has permanent inflation of 60 coins per block with no halvings, which means steady erosion of value over time due to new supply pressure. It also lacks a steady funding model, making future development in jeopardy, particularly as the per coin price falls. Beam has a for-profit model with heavy early inflation and a high developer tax. Epic builds on the strengths of these earlier mimblewimble projects and addresses the parts that could be improved.

Fungibility means that you can’t distinguish one unit of currency from another, in example Gold. Fungibility has recently become a hot issue as people have been noticing Bitcoins being locked up by exchanges which may of had a nefarious history which are called Tainted Coins. In example coins that have been involved in a hack, darknet market transactions, or even processing coin through a mixer. Today we can already see freshly mined Bitcoins being sold at a premium price to avoid the fungibility problem Bitcoin carries today. Bitcoin can be tracked by chainalysis and is not a fungible cryptocurrency. One of the features that Epic has is privacy with added fungibility, because of Mimblewimble technology, Epic has no addresses recorded and therefore nothing can be tracked by chainalysis. Below I provide a link of an example of what the lack of fungibility is resulting in today with Bitcoin. One of the reasons why we chose the Random X algo. is because of the easy barrier of entry and also to further decentralize the mining. Random X algo can be mined on old computers or laptops. We also have 2 other algos Progpow (GPU), and Cuckoo (ASIC) to create a wider decentralization of mining methods for Epic.

At a technology level, atomic swaps can be created to build liquidity bridges so that wrapped Epic tokens (like WBTC, WETH) can trade on other networks as ERC20, BEP2, NEP5, VIP180, Algorand and so on. There is more Bitcoin value locked on Ethereum than in Lightning Network, so we will similarly integrate Epic so that it can trade on networks such as Uniswap, Kyber, and so on.

Longer term, if there is market demand for it, thanks to Scriptless Script functionality our blockchain has, we can build “Confidential Assets” (which Raven, Tari, and Beam are all also working on) that enable people to create tokenized assets in a private way.

Mimblewimble also does not use addresses like a BTC address, and amount of transactions are also not recorded. One problem Monero and Bitcoin are facing now is scalability. Epic Cash as a store of value may be a good long term aspect of investment to consider. Epic Cash carries an inelastic fixed supply economic model of 21 million coins. There will be 5 halvings which this month of June will be our first halving of epic. From a block reward of 16 Epic reduced to 8. If we look at BTC’s price action and history of their halvings it has been proven and show that there has been an increase in value due to the scarcity and from halvings a reduction of # of BTC’s mined per block. An inelastic supply model like Bitcoin provides proof of the circulating supply compared to the total supply by the history of it’s Price action which is evident in long term charts since the birth of Bitcoin. EPIC Plans to have 5 halvings before the year 2028 to match the emissions of Bitcoin which we call the singularity event. Below is a chart displaying our halvings model approaching singularity. Once bitcoin and cryptocurrency becomes adopted mainstream, the fungibility problem will be more noticed by the general public. I was watching some videos explaining how to send and receive transactions in EpicCash, which consists of ports and sending links, my question is why this is so, which, for now, looks complex?

In V3, which is coming later this summer, Epic can be sent over Tor, which eliminates this issue of port opening, even though using tools like ngrok.io, it’s not necessarily as painful as directly configuring the router ports. Early Lightning Network had this issue as well and it’s something we have a plan to address via research into non-interactive transactions. “Fire and Forget” payments to an address, as people are used to in Bitcoin, is coming to Epic and we’re excited to develop functionality that other advanced mimblewimble coins don’t yet have. For months, newcomers to our community have been asking the question: “Why can’t I find you on Uniswap?” — Because Epic is natively a coin that lives on its own Mimblewimble blockchain and not a token that lives on Ethereum, this is not possible without exercising a little creativity.

Thankfully, we can look to WBTC (Wrapped Bitcoin) for a successful example of how to make it happen.

By locking Epic Cash coins into a smart contract on Ethereum using atomic swaps, tradable standard ERC20 tokens are issued on a 1:1 basis so that no inflation is possible. These tokens are freely redeemable back into native coins, so the price between the two asset forms should be arbitraged to approximate parity.

As an initial step, the Epic Blockchain Foundation has set aside a batch of 10,000 coins to back 10,000 tokens, and will honor any swap requests manually. The liquidity pool was created at the current market price of $.05 per coin and any profits from pool fees go back to support ongoing development. If the concept is successful and the market demand is there, the next step is to implement the trustless decentralized method using a smart contract. This will enable the token supply to expand and contract in response to demand.

By creating this “cross-chain liquidity bridge” that allows Epic to participate in the exploding Ethereum-based DeFi ecosystem, the utility and value proposition of the currency as a private store of value and medium of exchange are enhanced.
This is consistent with our longer term vision to create EPIC: The Private Internet of Money.

With this release, we address the issue of corrupt blocks that were found a couple weeks ago.

We do this by rolling back the chain the last good state (height 861141).

Because of the periodic compaction, we cannot roll back to this height directly.

Instead, we replace the existing chain data by a "canonical" one.

Instructions and details below.

- Check for bad headers and ban peers who send them
- Avoid loading subsequent chunks if headers_received returns false
- Update build instructions for macOS
- Fix graph weight for cuckoo cycles
- Change version checker domain name

Please follow the instructions below when installing this new version.

Contact support if something seems wrong.

### Server

1. Download the 2.15.0 package

2. Extract the zip file you downloaded

This will restore your balance to what it was at height 861141.

1. **(Windows only)** Place the `epic-wallet-tool.exe` file in the same directory as the `epic-wallet.exe` one that you already have.

2. Execute the `epic-wallet-tool` program

    You will see some messages detailing what is happening. In summary:
    1. You'll be asked to provide the path to your wallet data
        - Use the listed candidate path if you have not customized your wallet path
    2. Your wallet data will be backed up
    3. Your wallet will be restored from the seed, using the "canonical" chain data

3. That's it; you can run `epic-wallet info` to check your new balance

Alternatively, you can simply run `epic-wallet check` yourself.

### Automatic Compaction

This is a feature implemented in Epic that makes use of the "cut-through" capability of MimbleWimble to preserve storage and decrease chain size.

This means that data older than some period and not needed anymore is erased.

Unfortunately, it also limits how far to the past the chain can rollback if something bad happens.

## Can I keep using my own chain data instead of have it replaced by the `canonical` one?

Yes, but it would require manual steps:

3. Start the server again

Epic Cash Back On Vite and Speculation

It has been nearly 48 hours since Epic Cash trading reopened on Vite. Roughly 100K of red candle volume in the first day followed by about 25K of mixed volume the next day. It sounds like some here have been watching every trade. I work all day and didn't think about any of this until a few hours in the evenings and this is my speculation at this time.

I'm pleased to see Epic Cash on Vite again but not so interested to watch trade-by-trade action. lol



The price and trading on Vite reflects the situation:



Awaiting a mobile platform so we can bring in more friends who may be less tech-savvy this us salty veterans



2. Awaiting delivery of Epicenter, ECR airdrop, and other integration development



3. Dozens of community members (maybe hundreds) engaged in extracurricular grass-root activity to develop and integrate Epic



4. Network difficulty is healthy. Great time to mine. Great opportunity to get friends in to mine. I have relatively high electric costs and even given the dumping this is still profitable to mine for me on GPUs. Epic Cash isn't like ARRR: 90% emitted and ASIC mined. We are around 50% emitted and still very accessible for entry level PoW miners with simple gaming computers.



5. Recovered from a network attack



So, there is valid trade activity. People fed up with waiting for mobile capabilities, ECR, epicenter, other integrations, and people fed up with the drama of a network attack have communicated clearly that this was too much for them to handle. The market is communicating like one would expect.



So far, we are within the realm of various predictions. I think I predicted higher prices but I'm not surprised if this trades in the 10-20 cent range for some time while we wait. But if rumors are true.. OR... if rumors of various activities come to fruition (mobile wallets, integration...) then this will absolutely explode.



An Apple/Play store downloadable wallet changes everything. If that were to happen tomorrow there are hundreds of users here who would send some epic to their friends. Conservatively, we would instantly 5x our network transaction activity. Telegram numbers jump, twitter blows up, fb, etc.



Couple that with delivery of ECR, epicenter, and other integration announcements... it's not long before epic is trading all over the place. Stretching a finite supply of hard money like that I speculate prices quickly exceeding competitors who thought 200M and 90% emission in the first 3 years was a good idea (ARRR).

I understand that Bitcointalk is a shadow of its former self, back in its earliest days it was all people who were working together finding use cases for Bitcoin and looking for ways to improve it. Epic Cash stands out in this sea of crap as one of the truest o Satoshi's principles projects. Definitely difficult to mine right now.  And the price hasn't changed much.  Only on one exchange too.  I think this is coiling up to explode.  Just my opinion and I've been wrong before.  But when considering what Epic Cash has with it's small supply, PoW model, growing community, growing partnerships, technical development, token releases, and considering comparisons to competitors like bitcoin gold it's hard to imagine this not getting recognition it deserves.

here's what I see as catalysts and things that exist already but aren't even priced in:

1. Energetic community knocking on doors, ringing phones.  Persistent, calm, patient.  Making friends.  Even a few haters

2. Fair launch with a voluntary fund raising mechanism enacted via PoW mining... AND... AND... AND... a large share of that will transfer to DAO governance control.  No Premine as so many competitors in this space have done.  And sure, there are examples of altruistic premine use.  BUT there are so many more who used the premine for things far outside the bounds of actual development, to put it kindly.  This can't be understated as a fundamental value.  People need to remember this when paying hundreds of dollars to subscription services who carry out modus operandi that matches so many so called "signals" groups.  AKA P&D.  The selection of premine coins, the use of specific exchanges, and the promoted hype to suck people in.

3. Long lasting infrastructure via fiat and network ramps.  Bitmart is a bridge people!  It's a fast and easy bridge to send assets cross-network.  That made it very easy for me to move ERC20 to MATIC networks and I'm thankful for Bitmart's leadership on this front.  These kind of friction reducing onramps is WHY this project will survive this coming and many more Winters to come.

4.  This community won't stop making connections when winter comes.  We'll settle in with hot coco or whatever keeps us warm and we'll spread that warmth like wildfire compared to other projects. 

5. Realization of the ecosystem.  When EIOUs start being redeemed for a full $1.  When DAO governance proposals are made and passed.  When ECK's full potential is leveraged toward design improvements and 3rd party audits.  When people begin issuing loans to themselves and gradually build confidence in this personal banking feature provided by Epicentral.  These are realizations that will continue to grow our community of store of value (EPIC) hodlers. 

6. Innovative and bold developers.  First to randomX, haters can suck it!  L0 innovation too.  You know... there are "layers"

7.  Comprehensive and thoughtful.  PoW and distribution model instantly proved this to me. 

This community is resilient.  It is planting seeds for future forests.

In regards to the February snapshot that was supposed to distribute ECR in March... Did a claims website ever get setup for cli wallet users?

More details will be released and it depends on some things.  For example, EPIC holders on the Vite app will just get the tokens on that app.  Native wallet EPIC holders will have a different process to follow and we are all just waiting until those details are released.  Any of this can change too.  Most important thing is just to hold EPIC on the snapshot date(s).  So far, there is one snapshot date scheduled, 25 December 2021 and that snapshot will be for ECR.  The community is planning an ECK airdrop and more details will be discussed in Telegram when we know more about that.

I love mining Epic Cash because it has been the most consistently profitable GPU mining option for a number of years.

I dual/switch mine EPIC with ETH.  So currently, it mines 48% of the day on EPIC and then 52% to ETH.  Or, I could just mine EPIC and it would still be 2X more profitable than mining ETH.  But since ETH is still profitable, I mine both.

Epic Cash is setup to be mineable by CPU, GPU, and ASICs currently allocated as a 48/48/4 CPU/GPU/ASIC split.

More explanation on how mining works in EPIC:

Imagine we have 100 beans and 3 jars we'll place those beans.  Let's just label the jars CPU, GPU, and ASIC.  And we'll place 48 beans in the CPU jar, 48 more into the GPU jar, and the remaining 4 beans to ASIC.  But instead of making it so predictable and boring, we'll randomize bean assignments throughout the day so on one turn the CPU jar gets a bean and then maybe the next turn the same CPU jar gets another bean but eventually a round robin pattern emerges and the 48/48/4 allocation to the CPU, GPU, and ASIC jars is achieved.
This is how mining works in epic cash.
A block is mined every minute.  That is 1440 blocks per day.  Randomly but consistently, 48% goes to CPU miners, 48% to GPU miners, and 4% to ASIC miners.  This allocation was chosen by the Epic Cash community via DAO governance.  It is agile to change as needed and as determined by the community.
I ran numbers this morning with a newcomer miner and on a 1080 ti they would get about two blocks a week.  At $5 a coin that is about $37.50 weekly.  Mining Ethereum alone would get about $17.5 weekly.
The really cool thing is he can dual/switch mine and get epic's $37.5 plus about $8.75 from eth bringing it up to $46.25 weekly.  2.6 times better than mining ETH alone.

It's more work because you'll have to learn new things and take additional steps to sell.  But for as consistent as this has been for profit I think it's worth it.

EPIC is currently only tradeable on one DEX called Vite.  No kyc.  ios/android apps are easy to use.  A little different than other apps but really easy once you do it a few times.  And it's non-custodial so the security responsibility of securing your seed phrase is up to you.  Non-Custodial and Non-KYC a lot of people like these features but it's not for everyone.

EPIC has a listing on Bitmart coming in January.  It's paid for.  Would have been December but there was a big hack and Bitmart was delayed but they are doing a fantastic job of recovering and assuring no loss to customers.  Top 15 exchange on Coingecko.

Lots of other stuff about Epic Cash.  There's an entire ecosystem being built up. Business leaders, artists, tech gurus, small/vibrant/growing community.

EPIC Cash compared to ZCash, Pirate Chain and Monero


Monero was the first cryptocurrency to address Bitcoin Core's lack of anonymity. Though transactions are not visible from the outside, sensitive data such as recipient, sender and amount are stored encrypted on the blockchain. Ring-shaped transactions, known as RingCT, provide further obfuscation of transactions. The algorithm behind RingCT merges several users into groups. Thus, a transaction can only be assigned to one group, the individual user "hides" himself and his transaction amount in the group. Anyone who wants to view transactions needs a key, the private key or the so-called “view key''. While the private key is available to the recipient and the sender, the view key also allows third parties to view the transactions on the blockchain.

The vulnerability of Monero lies in the encrypted storage of all sensitive data on the blockchain. It cannot be ruled out, indeed one must assume, that with increasing computing power the Monero blockchain can be deanonymized. It is quite possible that this has already happened and Monero is being used as a honey pot. Furthermore, Monero does not scale well, the blockchain is huge, currently about 140 gb (at the same utilization as BTC it would have nearly 1 tb) and therefore unsuitable for certain applications, such as a fullnode wallet on a cell phone.  

Monero developers are certainly among the most talented in the space of cryptocurrencies, but it no longer makes sense to tinker with a blockchain based on outdated technology. The code is getting more and more complicated and therefore more prone to bugs. Some Monero users are becoming aware of this and leaving the network.

Pirate Chain and ZCash have only one purpose: privacy. Both provide high theoretical anonymity, but require a complicated cryptographic construction that requires a trusted setup and the use of new experimental cryptography, as well as high computational complexity in creating private transactions.

While ZCash offers the possibility to choose between shielded and transparent transactions, Pirate Chain has excluded the possibility to use transparent transactions from the beginning for privacy reasons. All components of a transaction that violate privacy (the same applies to the private mode of ZCash)  - the addresses of the sender and receiver, as well as the amount - are encrypted. However, with the help of so-called "zk-SNARKs" (zero-knowledge succinct non-interactive arguments of knowledge), it is still possible to check whether the transaction is valid. The structure is complicated and difficult to understand, therefore very few cryptographers understand the mathematics behind it, making the code prone to errors.

Without going into too much detail here, it is necessary to look at one part of anonymous transactions: the obfuscation of the amount. To prove that the amount sent is in line with Pirate Chain's (respectively ZCash's) amount of currency, even though you don't know it, you need a proof that can only be generated by the basic setup, a complicated trusted setup. You can think of this proof as a public key generated by a private key. If you can verify this, everything is true.  

If the implementation is flawed or the setup parameters (the "private key") are leaked, this can lead to the counterfeiting of coins, without these additional coins ever being detected, since the amounts are obfuscated. The risk may be minimal - but it remains there and you will never know if the system is broken or not. You just have to trust the developers that the setup parameters have been destroyed. This alone leaves an unpleasant feeling, causing many to look for alternatives.

Are other weak points as well. Transparent transactions make up 90+% of all ZCash transactions. Since transparent and anonymous transactions are processed in different pools, it is easier to identify the anonymous ones, since only a small part of the transactions are carried out anonymously. For this reason, ZCash should not be selected as the currency of choice.

While Pirate Chain does not have the problem of transparent transactions, it has other disadvantages; a poor scalability, already over 95% of all coins are created which makes it unattractive for miners. With fewer miners, the network becomes less secure.

EPIC Cash, which is with the beautiful Mimblewimble protocol based on well known cryptographic principles and easy to understand, does not require a trusted setup, unlike protocols based on zk-SNARKs. The privacy, which has to be achieved with Monero, Pirate Chain and ZCash with partly highly complex and therefore easily bug-prone code, is a side effect of Mimblewimble, which is simply provided by the protocol and maximally increased by additional implementations like Dendelion++.

Because Mimblewimble does not require public addresses, outsiders cannot associate transactions with individuals. "Cut Through" removes all unnecessary data from the blockchain without compromising security, which has a huge space-saving effect. With the same workload and activity, EPIC Cash would therefore have a size of only about 10% compared to BTC. This makes it suitable for certain applications for which the other protocols are unusable because of their huge blockchains.

Compared to Monero, ZCash and Pirate Chain is EPIC Cash highly scalable and ready for mass use. It is not just a private coin like the others but a whole ecosystem. This makes EPIC Cash the preferred cryptocurrency for those who value high anonymity, future-proof technology and high utility.

I have looked at Epic Cash and I must say the fundamentals really look good and I believe the direction Epic is taking will lead to success.

I currently hold Theta Token and am considering moving my holdings over to Epic Cash.

An issue I have had so far with starting out with Epic is a simple swap from say BTC to Epic, as compared to Theta which can be done very simply on Simpleswap.io
I have setup things for Epic using vitex and I must say its definitely a bit more technical

What do you think, and I know it would mostly be biased towards Epic here, but I am interested in hearing some opinions on this.
