I am also one of those who really like sports betting, but because the corona virus makes all sports events postponed until the crisis ends.
Therefore I cannot gambling now, with this condition it is indeed an opportunity for gambling addicts to learn to get out of addiction.Although

I personally know a few guys with gambling addition (within friend circle as well as within family), and I know how hard it can be to get rid of it. That said, I am not sure whether this is the right time for doing it. Most of the countries are under lockdowns and people are sitting at home without any work. And when the gamblers are idle, then there is a larger chance for them to relapse to old gambling habits.

I agree now is the worst time to come out of addiction and all non essentials activity are closed.A lot of people have lost their work from business closures massively because of this pandemic and we don’t know for how long this will continue.All these things just emphasizes more the desire to gamble in gambling addicts.

But How will people Gamble if you are saying that they Lost Jobs?where they will Get funds to sustain their gambling activities when they need to provide foods for their family and self?

they will find another place where to kill boredom but for sure that is not gambling unless they are ready to get starve with family.

To get out of gambling addiction you must take it step by step. You must lower the gambling time as time passes by and you should find another way to kill time and make yourself busy so you will not be hungry for gambling. With this scenario, your gambling activity sudden stop, so I think that will just worsen your addiction. I suggest if you really wanna get rid of your gambling addiction you must take it slowly and do't force yourself to stop in a sudden moment.

Like you said, an addicted gambler can recover from getting addicted to gambling if they really want to recover and redeem themselves. Now the problem is if the gambler really wants to recover and stop from gambling already. Now if the gambler doesn't want to recover himself then there is nothing we can do unless we force him but there will still be a time that he will go back whenever he sees a casino near their place.

I don't think being addicted in gambling, one does not want to recover, of course they like but they just don't have the capacity or control to do it, because they got consume by gambling already and they are weak, if you let them change themselves, it will take time and maybe more losing experience he will have to go through before he can change, worst is if a person commit a suicide.

For what I have seen the best time for an addict to try to get out of the addiction is when they actually want to do it, this may seem like it is not the best time but when you hear the stories of those that have hit rock bottom and they lost their jobs, their families and have accumulated huge gambling debts and still they have overcome their gambling addiction then you can tell that even if the circumstances they are facing are not ideal anyone that is still determined enough to do it can accomplish it with professional help.

 I have seen many people who gamble because they are stressed at work so they come home and gamble and just take their fun. Yeah right, when you are alone and have nothing to do. thinking about your future and wanted to regain your honor or to prove everyone that they're wrong about what they think of you, you can start to change your course and be motivated with something else. Most of the time when we are alone we can think peacefully and fix our self effectively because when you are the one who wants to change, no one can ever stop you from that except yourself.

I have reiterated this over and over again, many have been addicted and would like to Continue even at this. Doing the traditional gambling and lockdown came into play, this has not change anything in the life a true addicted gambler out there. Gambling addicts always have a way to keep their desires.  Especially as it is now does not mean that people who are addicted will stop, unless they really do not have money to gamble.

And for the most part, during this pandemic there will be no effective way to make addicts quit.  Because actually the addict will only be able to leave gambling with the intention of his heart.
