Seems I will just have an Amber Bock, Mr. Gage. Hard liquor just don't do it for me anymore.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Using an Android tablet to browse these forums at work, and when cache gets too big, my browser closes when I hit post. Usually that means I have to post again. This time it managed to post before crashing  Tongue

Did your place of employment as a Count Accountant provide you with a furry outfit?

You know what would be great if at TED, at the beginning of the Bitcoin talk, the speaker announced--a la Oprah--to reach under their seats, whereupon members of the audience pull out a Casascius Bitcoin worth 1 BTC. What would it take to pull this off? Even after paying $6,500 USD to be in attendance, it'll be pretty hard to toss that in the garbage at the end of the show. The people not interested would simply pass it to their friends or others later that day. Picture them holding and twirling and playing with the coin during the duration of the talk. Then picture them protecting it as gold once they hear that at one day that coin could be worth $10,000 USD.
