I can see and judge for myself that coinmarketcap has been starting to look lazy and often lies with the amount of volume, at coinmarketcap is a site that is quite well known in the crypto world, but for now I am more satisfied and trust the Coingecko site which looks more transparent in display accurate data.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

I have long ceased to believe both coingecko and coinmarketcap, but before I trusted coinmarketcap and checked all exchanges and tokens there, but unfortunately coinmarketcap is only interested in money and therefore they list scam exchanges and scam tokens without even thinking.

All companies and sites in this world are clearly interested in money, because all people who work in the world are only for two things, namely seeking knowledge and making money, so it is only natural that coinmarketcap lists all exchanges and all tokens that can pay them by completing all the conditions others, and to find out the pros and cons of exchanges and tokens is solely our job, not the coinmarketcap's job.

Im feeling the same thing like you too. I have been migrating from CMC to another site like coingecko and cryptorank or maybe another site that provides an accurate data that placed the crap exchange site into the bottom rank as the volume is fully manipulated. Too much false data alreayd published by CMC and this was giving a huge impact to the trust of users.

i refer to CMC to see if a coin or token is genuine or just a hit and run. CMC has much stricter listing guidelines.

Coingecko I refer as the Volume and the Likes shows how much potential a company really has. Both has its perks. You can probably consider coinranking.com as well. Cooler designs.

Well I will be frank to find out the pros and cons of certain exchange or token is definitely our job but a listing site like CMC could not just list some fake or manipulated exchange without any further observation because if they do it's clearly their fault for spreading false information if the coin listed there have some kind of "fake or manipulated" data.

For example, I heard lot that P2PB2B is one of the bullshit exchanges because it has fake volume, but why on coinmarketcap can in the top 3?
Whereas on Coingecko P2PB2B is ranked 114, Does coingecko know if it's bullshit exchange? so it's not in the top 3 like in coin marketcap

So which one do you trust more?

I so much trust the information given by both platforms, however, I began to notice some disparity, fake volume on CMC.  For example, recently I was trying to check for the price of GoalTime N (GTX) token, on CMC it was $0.4, but when I checked it on coingecko, it was $0.00095. It was that of the latter that corresponds to the price on the exchange.  Why these disparities??.

After CZ bought Coinmarketcap, I wouldn't trust this resource much! Although it's shown the wrong volumes before... By the way, it's a funny coincidence that recently Binance took the first place in derivatives trading! Grin

Although Coingecko also shows huge volumes! Shocked

I don't even know which of them can be trusted! Wink

I regularly use coinmarketcap, there are many things that help me find information about the project. Although they often list shitcoin and shitexchange and make new investors and newcomers fooled. But to be honest, it's much better than Coingecko

if we mention P2PB2B I think there will be no end, this exchange is not much different from Latoken and already has a bad reputation.

I will go for coinmarketcap for sure,  it's got more good navigation and interface to use,  although both has some coins and exchanges with fake volume,  I believe that with CZ Binance acquiring coinmarketcap there will be a great improvement,  gone are those days when listing on coinmarketcap will create a pump for the specific coin that wanna listed on it, if you are looking for coins are not too popular,  perhaps new coins with low volume,  coingecko is where to go

True, the acquisition of Binance makes trust in coin marketcap even greater. Coinmarketcap is the first reference for crypto enthusiasts to monitor market conditions, we see whether the binance team can provide a solution to the crisis of confidence on a similar website.

Please visit the latest CZ tweets, you can write your aspirations for innovation at CMC, https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1252942392329515009

I like both, coingecko and coinmarketcap. Both have their respective advantages. I like coingecko because there is a calculator to calculate the price range directly there.

Coingecko doesn't have the stupid rules for listing the new altcoins and the volume requirement is a big NO for the new projects. There is an alternative called Coingecko and project teams will prefer to get listed on the Coingecko without paying CMC.

CMC has been sued several times,AFAIK. The scammers use their advertising pages for promoting their scam projects and the wash traded altcoins is the good source for attracting the thirsty traders.

To be honest I don't trust both of these sites, either coinmarketcap or coingecko sometimes display inaccurate data. Therefore, I trust
the results of the analysis and research that I do myself. And make coinmarketcap or coingecko as a comparison only. Regarding P2PB2B
according to the results of my own analysis and research, coingecko results are more accurate. Because it's true that P2PB2B exchanges
have fake volumes.

I don't know which is the best between the two because I only use both websites to find out the price of crypto and see the top 100 rankings. For ranking, I think the two websites are almost similar, but I think after coinmarketcap was bought by CZ, there will be an improvement if there is deficiency

I've heard about what happened to Coinmarketcap. CoinGecko is good but I highly recommend you use Tokenncoin. It is very useful for me.  Cool Cool
