All top altcoins aren't safe either because there are some altcoins which get in the top list all one a sudden by fake trading volume . But it's true that anyone can trade or invest in not only top but also unique altcoins which are going to have some major events in the upcoming months or weeks. Thus, any newbies can make some profits and will be safe in alt markets. If any newbies can't control their emoitons on sudden small dump than it's better to stick with Bitcoin and Ethereum, IMO.

Top altcoins are always recommended to beginners because of less risk compared to new coins sprouting or in coins that already been here for years but not establish yet. However it doesnt mean of for sure profit since the market is unpredicted and we dont know the movement of each coins when the market turns bearish.
