The fact is Satoshi had been long gone from the public by the time you added him as a "friend" on the P2P Foundation website. His P2P Foundation account was hacked sometime in 2014, so whoever "added" you was the hacker, who incidentally used the website to post as Satoshi and threaten to dox him if he wasn't paid some BTC.

This was the message he left using Satoshi's account on the P2P Foundation on September 9th, 2014:

Dear Satoshi. Your dox, passwords and IP addresses are being sold on the darknet. Apparently you didn't configure Tor properly and your IP leaked when you used your email account sometime in 2010. You are not safe. You need to get out of where you are as soon as possible before these people harm you.

That is who you were "friends" with.

Maybe you just weren't aware of it, but this occurred over 5 years ago you should have brought yourself up to speed on the matter in this time before attempting to pretend Satoshi was your "friend." LOL. He's your friend about as much as Tom from MySpace is my friend.

The hacking incident was even mentioned on the forum while you were a member.

Don't know how to react! The court case seems to taking unexpected twists and turns!

Like some have already pointed out, it's now very new. I've also encountered it on Bitcointalk weeks ago. I think it's understandable why he'd say that: he probably doesn't know much about what Satoshi wrote on the forum, so it can be a serious risk if someone tries to test his knowledge of, allegedly, himself, and fail. Not to mention that the style of Satoshi from the forum differs a lot from Craig's style (Satoshi wasn't so harsh).

What if we all just stop giving this lunatic what he wants - attention? I don't know if it's right to stop calling him out on his bullshit though, but I feel like crypto enthusiasts are the main thing that still keeps him afloat somehow, in a weird way. Let him destruy himself on his own terms

Well I would agree, but this is bitcointalk where anything vaguely related to bitcoin is posted about numerous times and in numerous configurations and formats. It's pretty slow for news these days so this sort of stuff is going to be talked about. There's also seemingly quite a few people who think he is or may actually be satoshi so that doesn't help either.

I don't think it's right to ignore because silence can be interpreted as a lack of objections. Plus, there are people still sure that Craig is Satoshi as well as many newbies who did not make their minds yet. So it's important not to be silent so that 'team Craig' doesn't win.

This is one way for scammers to have more victims trying to lead us into his own site so he can easily gain our trust if we believe him and leave bitcointalk. Surely soon he will become the victim of his own trap and when that time comes obviously it will be like a dead end to him and a no way out. Why are some people keep on claiming that they are someone whom they are not, is it because of fame or probably because of personal interest? For years Craig keeps on claiming he is Santoshi, in fact, he is popular now but for years no one believed him so he can't benefit nor gain on his interest in doing this.

CSW new ploy was that the real inventor of bitcoin only sent out the white paper in 2008 and that was it. any communication with other people is false.

this is because CSW wants to create a narrative that the edits/bugfixes done via users on bitcointalk were not the 'original bitcoin' but a copy that was stolen from the real inventor. and the user on bitcointalk using the pseudonym on the forum was not the words of the inventor. but the thief that stole 'the original bitcoin'
thus any quotes of 'satoshi' on this forum do not represent the 'original bitcoin' vision
