The comeback of tiktok is impressive. At some point he had less than 500 chips and now he has over 3k chips!!! damn!

I was in good position but consecutive lose of some big hands and from over 6k chips to now only in 2.5k chips. I really hope I get some good cards.

What do guys think of late registration time? Isn't 55min a bit too much especially now when we have a lower number of participants. Could we make it 20-30min tops, if possible of course?

I see that next week's games have 5k starting chips, at last...should be fun, have some more early action.

i did notice a couple people joined at the very end of late registration today. with bigger starting stacks, i think we should limit it, otherwise it starts becoming kinda EV+ to join late.

Something was wrong with the table today. Most of us were going disconnected and it was hard to continue. However I am not gonna blame anything for my stupidity. I was always programming myself to play defensive but more than 10 occasions I attacked having nothing in my hand. Every time I was losing. The 2nd last hand against 1n0n1c was kinda fluke. My connection was disconnecting and I was frustrated at the best so I was checking the ALL In box. Connection lost and when reconnected, I saw over 2.4k chips where I had no match after the flop. LOL

But that did not last long. In the next hand I lost all against webtricks. I know it was a stupid call to go all in with the JJ pair in the turn.




I really was not able to connect my plan today after going down from 6k chips.

as for me..... another final table, another disappointment. i'm feeling especially trolled because @Murat was sitting out with 4bbs left and to be knocked out very soon.

I kinda feel like a lot of people are sitting out trying to last longer and gain points. Half the game 3-4 players were sitting out on my table. Then you got a few that are joining late(nearly last minute) and that really is angling for points as well. Blinds aren't really that high so it doesn't hurt them to sit out or not join til late reg is almost over.

I really think we should get a 10 minute late reg for the game so this advantage cannot be used.

As far as me having no points, it's poker. Sometimes hands hold, sometimes they don't. I'm not out yet. Seen some really bad plays by some users, so i'm shocked I haven't gotten points yet. I'll get there.

Efialtis went out on a big shocker. He raised preflop and was called. Board came something like 662 or something really low and a pair. I'm sure he can post the hand history. Flop was bet by efialtis and snap called by the villian. Efialtis has about 1600 chips left at this point. Turn came an 8 I believe. Efialtis bets 630 and again is snap called. Villain has K10 offsuit, river king lmao. Efialtis shoved all in and obviously is called and out.

I am not complaining about how the villian played the hand, I'm just saying what the heck was the guy doing in the hand with K10 after the flop? And how the heck am I not raping a player like that?

there seems to be a consensus forming pretty quickly about this. i know @Steamtyme was pushing for shorter late reg a few days ago too.

another way to prevent points angling would be a top-heavy points structure, but that seemed to be fairly contentious when suggested before, and plus we're already 2 games in. the ideal IMO is smooth points payout w/ large fields, but unfortunately it seems we're stuck at 2-3 tables tops.

The call on the flop was very borderline imo, but some people like their overcards and who knows what read he had on efialtis (plus the bounty that was available as figment mentioned). I would have folded on the flop too, but tbf on the turn the play was reasonable then, since it was acutally K10 suited and he had a flush draw then with another club on the turn, so quite some outs (and chips).

Don't feed me this bullshit, lol! Who goes against all-in with 5-10 offsuit? Really! High card: 10, not same suited, difference of more than 4 between cards. No chance of straight or flush with both hole cards, awful chance of pair and that too a weak pair. Even newbie player won't play this hand. But you went against me with these cards and surprisingly won!! I felt like killing you at the moment. Tell to the Goddess of Luck who was on your side yesterday and dealt 5 among community cards that next time her charm won't work.

I did not want to suggest something like this because I will be on and off during this series but now that it has been mentioned - I strongly support this.
I'd even go as far as reject late regs completely, if somebody is late to the game he will just lose a few early blinds which is no big deal at all.

Late regs in a point-based placement tournaments will always lead to people trying to get most out of the system.

My thoughts on the reduced late reg were more to keep the tournament length roughly the same with a larger stack - i had also mentioned shorter levels to that effect. I completely get where everyone is coming from here and would be fine with something anywhere from no late reg to a 15 minute late reg. Lets face it there aren't hundreds of us joining, everyone knows where or when... well almost @sygambler

For series tournaments here is my ideal structure.
Freezout - 2 level late reg - and 8 minute levels with a 7500 stack.

Either way see you guys next Saturday. I woke up about 20 minutes after late reg with my phone firmly muffled under my gut

It was a fun game last night when we were the last two standing but I got greedy and went all in hoping that you wouldnt catch my bad hands but Yeah I wasnt lucky until the end

I guess you cant be lucky everytime but considering how I was at 500 chips and managed to get top 2 is just like a miracle, I was just aiming for #10 as I think I wouldnt stay much longer

Good decision. This should help reduce the possibility of taking advantage with late reg.

Yo can't stop people trying to take advantage of the system but we can try to take away their possible gains and in  that way discourage them from even trying. This late reg shortening seems a good step in that direction.

As I already pointed out before I am here to have some fun not play super serious poker. That comes more as a chore then fun and I enter that mode only when much bigger stakes are on the table That being said I wanted to play "seriously" our final game of the last series and existed the tournament in record time. Go figure, maybe I am better player or I have more luck when having fun.
