that was intense. the points standings came down to the final 2 players in the final match. great stuff! i got pretty worried for @CCwatcher420 when you hit that 999 vs QQ hand against @iv4n. i think all 3 of you were near even stacks after that.

Hehe, yes, it was very intense, but Iv4n got the job done for CC. I felt your super tightness at your very own bubble, when you were just waiting for ANY player to get eliminated to get you qualified for the Final. You were down to a bit more than 3k chips iirc with blinds already high-ish and I guess, you would even have folded premium hands at this stage, if it was to call an all-in or something that would have made you pot committed.

dude, i was so annoyed! i even folded KK preflop with ~10bbs to a raiser in the first several hands of the final table, when i was one KO away from qualifying. i can't think of any other circumstance where i ever would fold there except this very specific one, where one hand could lose me a future buy-in worth 10x the current one.

if you're on the bubble in the last couple games in this type of series structure, the ICM considerations are so frustrating. i would have been a lot more comfortable in yours or @SyGambler's spot so i could actually play my normal game.

if you're on the bubble in the last couple games in this type of series structure, the ICM considerations are so frustrating. i would have been a lot more comfortable in yours or @SyGambler's spot so i could actually play my normal game.

it's tough both scenarios , yesterday both of us were playing for 1st place so personally I took risks that I normally don't take in other games
I mean when we got close to money bubble of the tourney usually I won't play that aggressive when I'm not cheap leader but since I needed to finish 1st to qualify I had to forget about finishing ITM

grats for the qualifiers and hope you all enjoy the game , I will probably not join the next series if happened till the final stages because I'm preparing for my exams now

Right, but even if @BitcoinGirlClub was upset about this, it lasted not for long. Look at what happened 10 minutes later:



When I flopped a pair of Aces, I was thinking: "Well, he might have had an Ace too and a better kicker." But when I saw an 8 on the turn, and BitcoinGirlClub went all-in, I called not because I was expecting another Ace or 8 on the river, I thought he was bluffing the flush. ... But he wasn't:



and there were no Ace or 8 on the river, so I lost, finishing on the 10th place.

Isn't it amazing that he got even with me, taking all my chips with the same Flush of Hearts, only this time my Full House draw didn't river? I mean, even though I lost, I was happy to see that there is fairness in the Universe.

So I wanted to wait until I had an idea whether or not I would qualify before bringing this up. Next weekend I am back at work. I can't remember when the last Championship played out but I'm curious what peoples thoughts are on time and date for the next Championship game.

I didn't really hear any opinions about this. I am working nights this coming weekend, no getting around it.

Why not Sunday? I don't know about others, but this week I am free on Sunday and Monday, Saturday night will be a bit tricky for me. Of course I will find a way if all others are for Saturday. Anyway it would be good to make it official as soon as possible, I will have more time to ask some colleagues and to make some changes in case it's Saturday.

Efi we know that you are busy, season is starting in Greece! Maybe we should think about one championship in Greece, near the sea... During the day we can see so many beautiful places, islands, beaches, history..and poker every night, 7-10 days! Your organisation skills are great, so I'm sure it would be amazing.

Better than Saturday at least this way I only have the one shift left that evening. Working nightshift I'll be in the middle of a good sleep I'm hoping it starts at the same time as the qualifiers at least this way if I hear my alarm I can play the entire final. Just shit timing is all.

My schedule is so sporadic, with the shift work and random covid scheduling it's hard to plan much longterm. I wasn't to concerned as the championship didn't have a date set at the beginning.

Sounds good Thanks for the info. The bigger stacks shouldn't be to big an issue as I assume the blind structure would be proportional.
The timing should work okay, I'd just hate to run late and have to cut out to go to work.

Ideally we could have discussed a date and time; the following week would have been free and clear. 5 hours earlier and i could play right after work; tired but free from time constraints if I make a run at it.

You can't always accommodate everyone so I will just count myself lucky that I am on nightshift and not dayshift.  
Just have to cooler you guys with AA, bet every flop suck out hard and never lose a flip and I might have time for a nap before work.

Is there any news regarding runner up tournament? If there is nothing official/sponsored maybe we could just set one ourselves with 1mBTC buy in for the same time as Grand Finale? That way we could play some casual hands and at the same time keep one eye on the Grand Finale.
