bubble time! me, @Steamtyme, @iv4n, and @Hhampuz are fighting for ITM. it's a pretty nitty game at the moment.

EDIT: another weekend, another bubble for me. ;(

i'm disappointed in the spot i went out on, probably should have controlled the pot better. @Hhampuz minbet this flop, and i had seen him do that multiple times with 2nd or 3rd flopped pair. i 3bet in position and had solid odds at the time:

when he fired a barrel on the turn (3rd flush card) i figured he was trying to rep the flush and steal the pot. but he had it.

at least i grabbed 7 points, which should leave me in ~6th place, pulling slightly ahead of @bitmutiny, @CCwatcher420, and @Improved. @iv4n will also be in contention, just slightly behind. it's gonna be down to the wire again tomorrow.

I tend to avoid any trashtalk therefore I dont try to get any krill at all but today I saw alot of positive vibe on the chat and thought perhaps I could join in  Wink
Edit : how do you get krill btw? Do I just play any cash game?

You get krill when you play cash games! You joined late, there was talk about it already. Few hands with 1/2 blinds and you will have enough to chat! Smiley

Got it, will do later to get some krill before tomorrow game

Trash talk is alright, but there should be some limits! Smiley In passion and fire you can say anything, but good friends will understand and forgive! After first series, and close to an end of second series I think we can say for some people here how honest and fair they are!

Nah I tend to not read any trash talk at all. It just doesnt sit right with me  Wink

Final table is on fire! Smiley You just got kicked with 44!

Good game indeed, considering how I almost lost early and got back in with some shoving then I could say that 6th position is good enough for me

i'm disappointed in the spot i went out on, probably should have controlled the pot better
-picture snipped-
at least i grabbed 7 points, which should leave me in ~6th place, pulling slightly ahead of @bitmutiny, @CCwatcher420, and @Improved. @iv4n will also be in contention, just slightly behind. it's gonna be down to the wire again tomorrow.

Considering that you had a sloppy start early on the game, I'd say you are doing great job taking 7 points . Goodluck tomorrow  Wink

Congrats to @Hhampuz for Slaying the game today ! Wink 10 points worth

Gratz @Hhampuz, well played with that monster chip lead in the middle stages Smiley

Betwrong, 1r0n1c and arallmuus have qualified for the Grand Final already, congratulations. Hhampuz and SteamTyme have very good chances to qualify. The players in red are out of contention. For BitcoinGirlClub it is next to impossible to qualify, but it's still possible theoretically from my calcualtions, if a thousand things happen Cheesy Not a lot of hope for Trofo, SyGambler and myself, but lets see. The fight between figmentofmyass, bitmutiny, CCwatcher420, Iv4n and Improved will be interesting to witness - I hope you join tomorrow @bitmutiny.

As some of you might have noticed, I added a column “Avg” next to the total points. Afaik this is the tiebreaker for players with same amount of points and I added it as preparation for tomorrows final regular tournament of this series.

I did (or tried to do) some live update for the sheet during the tournaments, but only sorted it all after the tournaments were finished. For tomorrow I will do live updates and also refresh the rankings live. What does that mean ? Whenever a player gets eliminated, I will put his numbers in and then sort the table afterwards. Players that are finished for the series and can’t get no more points, I will put in yellow – that way each of you can follow the rankings real time and figure out better, what place he needs to finish in order to get to the Grand Final.

I hope this all works flawlessly from my side and I don’t make any mistakes, while also trying to get a spot in the Grand Final myself. So don’t trust 100% on the live rankings please, I will give my best though. If you see any issue, just report it in the chat at the tables maybe and I will have a look and fix it.

EDIT: another weekend, another bubble for me. ;(

For the sheet, you have one itm finish now, since I always take Top4 to make it easier due to missing data from series 1, where sometimes Top5 got paid. If that helps to up your mood Tongue

well played, @Hhampuz. that chip lead was unstoppable.

5 of us are basically tied for 4 spots with only one game to go---it's even tighter than i thought! Lips sealed

i noticed that. this is the average place we finished in each tourney? i guess that technically leaves me in the middle of the pack with @CCwatcher420. it could be worse.

Yes, only for this series. It could get interesting, if for example one of the guys with 22 points is eliminated early-ish. Then not all hope is lost, because other ones could also finish outside of the points - and then the average place is the decider. So maybe for someone it might be enough to finish without points, if only he gets his average a bit down.

To make this scenario very interesting - for those not involved Grin - it would be good, if as many players as possible would join tomorrow. Today was all-time low by far.

My day in a nutshell:

Blinds at 25/50 Iv4n raises to 100, Trofo calls and i go all-in on AKs, of course, they both fold because it's too early. I get nothing, stupid me!

Half an hour later, i get pocket Aces BB, everyone folds. Cheesy

And the hand that pissed me the most, AK vs 82 (Hhampuz). He gets 8 off the flop and i get an Ace. We both check on the flop, Hhampuz raises on the turn and i call (didn't want to scare him so i didn't re-raise). And here comes the river - 2, i was extremely confident and committed at that point decided to re-raised only to lose 90% of my stack.

Whenever someone starts hitting the board, it just never stops...feels like SwC is rigged or something. Prior to that annoying suckout, he had a flopped set, flopped straight and won flush vs flush to a higher card....and a bunch of other crazy hands. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyway, congrats to those already qualified for the Championship game, and good luck to everyone in the mix for the final few spots! Wink

tyKiwanuka thanks for everything you do! It takes time, it takes energy, I am sure in that! Thanks for the job you are doing! You make our games more interesting!

Hhampuz you got lucky there! If I won I think we would have interesting finale, but that flush come out of nowhere! Smiley It's not on river, it's on turn and river for your win! Congratulations!

As I said in chat Foma will be kicked before me! Good game man, you survived some crazy hands!

Tomorrow will be interesting! I can't wait to sit and play another round of great poker! GG all! I wish you luck!

Thanks great work. Still an exciting push for the end.

Yeah it's shitty when you can't get anything to work, or when you mix in some fancier plays to try and get max value only to get hit with a bad beat. It happens to all of us. I definitely don't think it has anything to do with SWC, and they have been great to us. When you have a large stack or the price is real cheap you can play or continue with a much wider range. HE took advantage of that and found some luck along the way.

All in all great game today. I had a lot of fun, and it seemed a fairly jovial atmosphere all around. Was crushed on my final hand 88 against Hhampuz with AQ one spade I think, they had hit the Q on the flop - I hit my 8 on the river but it didn't matter as it was a 4 flush board. Good enough to manage 3rd today and set myself up in a good spot for the Championship.

Apart from that hoping to make it again for tomorrow, and ideally I'll sort out my recording.

So I wanted to wait until I had an idea whether or not I would qualify before bringing this up. Next weekend I am back at work. I can't remember when the last Championship played out but I'm curious what peoples thoughts are on time and date for the next Championship game.

~
sadly the poker gods are not with me so far. calling @Betwrong's preflop shove, he hits one of his 2 outs:

~

Man, I'm sorry for making that aggressive shove in the beginning of the game, but I was so frustrated by losing to Steamtyme with my set of 8s a minute earlier ...

I was already celebrating my victory when it turned out that he had ...

pocket Kings! Can you imagine that?

Going all-in with those pocket Tens I just wanted to lose to someone and call it a day. But the poker gods, yeah, they decided otherwise. Sorry mate. It was unintentional, I swear! Smiley  ...

Anyways, I was out on 7th place with enough chips to make sure that I will qualify for the Grand Finale, so I was happy.

GG, everyone! Congrats, @Hhampuz on the win!

I don't need points, but I will defo participate in the next game cos playing poker with all of you, guys, is a great pleasure.

See ya at the tables! GL!

Tbh I liked that play Cheesy It looked so donk-ish at that stage of the tournament, that I found it sort of brilliant again. Probably not very effective, when players know each other by now, but in a random tournament someone might bite seeing a donk in you.

much appreciated. good luck tomorrow!

Will there be a runners up (losers Smiley) final game again this time?

efialtis can give you more information, but from what he told me, it's still not decided, if there will be a small final this time. And it's also still not decided, if there will be a third series at SwC - or if SwC will keep sponsoring it.

And here comes the river - 2, i was extremely confident and committed at that point decided to re-raised only to lose 90% of my stack.

Hhampuz is master of calling bad hands and winning them. Not very long ago he beaten me with 510o:

GG's all! Tonight was a fun tourny  Grin

Don't feed me this bullshit, lol! Who goes against all-in with 5-10 offsuit? Really! High card: 10, not same suited, difference of more than 4 between cards. No chance of straight or flush with both hole cards, awful chance of pair and that too a weak pair. Even newbie player won't play this hand. But you went against me with these cards and surprisingly won!! I felt like killing you at the moment. Tell to the Goddess of Luck who was on your side yesterday and dealt 5 among community cards that next time her charm won't work.

Earlier I thought that was rubbish play but as I am learning poker in details, his strategy is pretty cool actually. He already had big stack both in my case as well as yours. By risking few chips, he had opportunity to disqualify me and making you down to 10% chips.

I forgot about series yesterday and now I see I don't have chance to qualify for championship. Never mind, I wasn't playing for championship after all. I will join tonight if free. Good luck to all those who are near to qualify. Smiley

Need a good score today to have any chance for final tournament and again I have guests at home  Sad Hopefully, they will go home before our series starts so I can concentrate properly. We already wined and dined so get a hint ....

Just 6 of us for now but I guess we will get at least to about 15 or 20 with last minute regs and late regs. Good luck to all of you guys fighting for the points and see you on the table in a little more than hour.

14 in total just like yesterday

no worries, i dished out a couple suckouts later in the game myself. Tongue

Gratz @Iv4n for winning today Smiley

Final standings after 8 tournaments of series #2:

Congratulations to everyone who made it to the Grand Final, especially to CCwatcher420, I guess this was some nail-biting for you, if you followed Grin I fought, but came up short, was still lots of fun for me.

I think efialtis will show up here sooner or later and tell us when the Grand Final will take place, if there will be a small final and what is the future of this series.

Good luck in the Grand Final.

GG guys! I really mean that! So many good hands! So many ups and down (for some people)!
I wanted that grand final game, and I am so happy that I am in! Smiley

Interesting fact: Saturday tournament I lost final from Jack 8 cube, today I won with cube flush! Out from nowhere!

I will just repeat what I said before, we play with cards with get! From some hands there's no running away! Smiley

I wish you luck in next games! Smiley

Edit: tyKiwanuka thanks! See you at the tables next time! Smiley

that was intense. the points standings came down to the final 2 players in the final match. great stuff! i got pretty worried for @CCwatcher420 when you hit that 999 vs QQ hand against @iv4n. i think all 3 of you were near even stacks after that.

i bubbled 2 days in a row, out in 4th again. do i get a prize for the most bubbles in the series? Smiley

at least i got myself a spot in the final. it would feel a lot sweeter though if i had cashed this weekend! Roll Eyes

I think efialtis will show up here sooner or later and tell us when the Grand Final will take place, if there will be a small final and what is the future of this series.

ah, i assumed it was next weekend.

thanks for running the spreadsheet, it was super helpful in figuring out standings in real time.

hand of the day---@Betwrong basically all-in preflop vs @BitcoinGirlClub. @BitcoinGirlClub flops nut flush, @Betwrong hits runner-runner to a full house to stay alive:
