With the dota major going on a one day break before the playoffs i'll just test the waters on some League now that we have the LPL summer split.

During the spring split EDG took down BLG 2-0 and after the MSI there's some roster changes that happened between BLG as they picked up a couple of players from V5 but i'm still confident in the firepower of EDG.



Edit : Another loss, EDG looked great at the start but BLG with the better draft.

anyway, AniMajor Playoffs are about to start. First off, Aster vs T1. Anyone watching it? drafts should be coming up, but i expect nothing but a stomp from Aster. I may be understimating T1 but team aster were so dominant in dpc CN that i have them as favorite to win the whole thing. -1.5 handicap at 1.9 for me. EDIT* brood last pick. couple early kills and then goes on to control the entire map in game 1. aster should've watched the early rounds EDIT* so much hype around Aster 😑

That series was so unexpected, I also have a bet on Aster and good thing I cashed it out after that disastrous game 1 and wasn't surprised the same thing happened in game 2 as they really want to make that Mars pick work but having a slow paced carry punished them so hard.

I'm taking PSG.LGD and Team Nigma on the next two series, both teams look like they'll end up in top 3 and also need the extra points for the direct invite.

I had T1 +1.5, my reasoning was that Aster did not play in long time and I expected them to be a bit dusty. Underdogs usually prepare and scout these matches more so this was good time for upset. Did not help me in the end since Gauff lost her match in RG today and I had an early treble.

Now I have over maps on VP - Nigma game just to follow a bit.

Miracle has been getting food poisoning and their game are being postponed. This might affect his performance somehow. Im not sure if they will continue with the same draft because the game was postponed after they draft the whole heroes but this could be interesting because VP secured Ursa and Mars. Both of this heroes are the powerhouse for ILTW and Mind Control in this major

Some reports of match fixing in CIS RMR event run by EPIC.  VP vs Akuma match is mentioned, VP is a good team as far as I know so wondering how that went down if its proven correct.  Dont know anything about Akuma but might not be a conventional and more obvious 'throw' type of deal

btw, i'm also not hitting that many AniMajor tickets lately (wtf is up with 2-0's in the upper bracket? bookies are making bank). I've decided to skip dota today and go with LoL. Competitive LoL came back this week!

The series of Quincy Crew vs NoPing was very exciting yesterday, i mean both teams played not very well but very sloppy instead but that's what made the game so exciting to watch i think. I feel sorry for NoPing, in match 3 they already attacked the Ancient but because of a few seconds they didn't manage to destroy it. If they had, it would have resulted in an automatic participation in the TI. But they failed to do so and Quincy Crew ended the match with their counter attack. Now NoPing must work their way trough the lower bracket to still have a chance to go to the TI and their first opponent is EG.

Well Nigma needs atleast runner up to secure a direct invite to the TI so they have alot more motivation to win the game compared with PSG.LGD that have qualified for TI. PSG.LGD might need to bring out their best draft to win against Nigma so they could either choose to destroy Nigma with it or they could choose to save their best draft for TI

If somehow Nigma lose and get in the lower bracket, they could be playing against TNC Predator again. Nigma lose 0-2 against this team in the group stage and TNC needs to secure more DPC points as well for the direct invite so it would a tough game in case both team meets at the lower bracket

I was not so surprised by Aster not making it. They were first seed due to their form of couple of months ago. In the last month both PSG and Vici were much better teams for me. And they are doing well in the tournament.

Probably because some teams are already qualified for TI so instead of revealing all their drafts and playstyle, they tend to try something new which is why the results are full of surprises. If somehow NoPing wins against EG, Im not even going to be surprised though

I was not so surprised by Aster not making it.

Well TNC is a great team, I would say that they are the dark horse for this major. They are in the same situation as Nigma, they need that DPC points to qualify for TI so they will use everything that they had to win in this major

PSG.LGD won 2-1 against Nigma. Im rooting for Nigma but I was staying away from the bet lol. The next game is going to be interesting EG vs Nigma, EG is still looking pretty strong and trying their best to win this major. This is either all out or nothing for Nigma, if they lose then probably they are not going to go to get any spot for TI

Honestly speaking, one spot from the Western Europe Qualifier probably belongs to OG so this game against EG is the last chance for Nigma though

It's hard for OG to take that spot for the TI qualifier. There has been a lot of good teams lately and they will be having hard time taking that spot. But I'm rooting for OG.

They should have given some incentive to secure a slot because this year's majors weren't really a lot and thus, they're two time TI champs.

I agree OG is still lacking that stable carry even though they have Madara it's unlikely they'll go far this qualifier.

Even if there's not a lot of majors during this DPC season, the regional league's still give out tons of points enough for qualification as there are teams that didn't earn any points in the major but still made it in the top 12.
I'm also rooting for Team Nigma they're my pick for today and expecting them to go all the way until the grand finals, book a rematch with PSG LGD since they have to win it all if they want to take the last invite against Thunder Predator.

And Nigma is out I got saved by lazy guy at Binance, he needed more than 15 minutes to release my withdrawal and by time I had money on the account the match already started. I wanted to play Nigma ML and VICI ML but skipped on both in the end.

IEM summer 2021's semifinal matches today. Both are good matchups with almost all the teams being matched against with team like almost similar performance- OG vs Vitality and Gambit vs G2. OG and Vitality both have been struggling lately and just recently have found bit of their performance back. As for Gambit and G2 , Gambit have been playing great CS but G2 have been playing great CS also.
